Week 8: Texans vs Panthers- Battle of The Rookie Quarterbacks

With Sheldon Rankins out, I expect Ridgeway to be activated. Too soon imo, i’d expect Hinish and Davis to work in quite a bit and hopefully Ridgeway doesn’t get reinjured.

Hope Rankins isn’t out too long. His play had started to come on, the Saints game was his best imo.

I am not overly concerned with the loss of Woods. It’s not ideal of course but getting Tank back and Noah Brown healthy should make up for his loss. But this might be the week Schultz solidifies his role as the 3rd down safety blanket Woods has been filling.

It’s not a coincidence that Schultz production has increased as the OL started getting healthy.
 
I think the Texans will win this game. Young has shown me nothing that makes me fear the Panthers winning by passing. Our run D has been getting better as they gel. And the Panthers secondary is awful, in particular vs the other teams #1 WR. Nico should have a good day. And even with Woods out, I think Nico, Tank, Hutchinson and Metchie are up to the task of making the Panthers DBs look bad.

I don't want to jinx it. So, I will only say I think we will win.

A friend was using an old DVR that came with his net and cable provider. I don’t know how he has it set. I think he just runs his TV through it and hits record. You can probably Google it and see

That's the way we used to do it back in the day, up until we moved out of the US.

It would suck when there was some sort of error or interruption or the channel was mismarked and we'd get the wrong game.

I hope they feed the hot hand. This isn't about this player or that player, it's about the team. We always hear our coaches/gm talking about doing what's best for the team, I'd like to see it.

Singletary has better vision & patience. He's a better receiver & open field runner. & he's been more productive as of late.

I don't care who you want to call the starter, but the guy who gets the most touches should be the more productive.
 
Are the Texans back to respectability? The betting public seems to think so. After covering the spread 4 consecutive games, the Texans are road favorites (-3.5) for the first time since Week 14 2000, at Chicago. The spread was -1 and the Texans lost 36-7.

Yeah I basically use the same. I believe most of the people who used to host on Reddit went over to sportsurge although you have to be careful its the .net site because there's a lot of other pretending to be the real sportsurge out there.

Not with that contract I wouldn't. He basically has 1 more year at a reasonable cap hit and then it's egregious.

$44 millions cap hit for 33 and 34 year old Adams? No thanks. I'm good.

Nice run Stroud. Hopefully this is something they thought about during the break….letting Stroud know that if the lane is there take the easy yards.
 
Slowick’s going to need to move the pocket away from their DT’s…..b/c the they’re watching Stroud and just jumping to knock down the pass.
 
Damn that was wide open. Would have at least been in FG range. Panthers doing a fantastic job of jumping up and swatting balls. Once…ok. Twice on first two drives. Unacceptable. That’s got to get cleaned up stat.
