This was a player I really wished the Texans had signed or drafted late. He’s a complete FB in the mold of 49’ers, Kyle Juszczyk…..in my book, he’s more like a 49’ers Tom Rathman. He’s a FB who can block, run, play HB, TE, run routes, and has soft hands. He’s up against a bevy of veteran RB’s in Dallas…..but a lot folks think he’s a shoe-in to make the team.

If they try to hide him on the PS or he becomes a late TC cut, Texans should try to get him signed.

We’d have to wait and see if the Cowboys were to cut him………I think he’s a lock to make their roster.

Midgets are outliers. They will get hurt in the NFL. Just relaying what's been explained to me. History, and all that. If it's good for the goose (Young), it's good for the gander (Bennett).

I wanted.ills and Bennett or Hooker to compete for the starting job and if they didn't look like the future then draft a QB in 2024. What I didn't want under any circumstances was drafting a QB at 1-2. Oh well water under the bridge now. Hannah got her marketing tool and most on here seem to be happy right now.

Well, you did much better than many here who said Bennett would go undrafted. I wanted Texans to trade 3rd RD for Matt Corral and using the 4th RD to draft Bennett. I think that situation would prove to be more successful than what the Texans have now.

I'll go on record that Stroud will be a better NFL QB than:

Mills
Bennett
Hooker
Corral
Any QB the Texans could take with their pick in the 2024 draft

I'll take Stroud, you take the field. After 2025, who has the highest QB ranking and most wins.

You could say that about all teams in the NFL except the last two in the Super Bowl and end up being right. Not really a bold prediction.

If have to start winning games before you win championships. Walk before run.

So much goes into winning a championship- luck, health, getting hot at right time, refs not dictating game…it is really more difficult than people make it seem.

Agreed, but you have to have a QB that you believe will be able to lead your team to a championship or the rebuild is for naught. I don't believe given Strouds history in college he's the guy. Most posters on here apparently feel differently and that's ok.

It's not about this, it's about taking a flyer on those guys and if one looks like a franchise QB great. If not you draft your franchise QB in the better 2024 QB draft. This really comes down to, do you think Stroud is as good or better than the top three QB's in the 2024 draft? If you don't then you take a flyer in 2023 hope for the best and if things don't work out then draft your guy in 2024. They put all of their eggs in Stroud's basket. SMH

Stroud vs anyone in this list. Mills, Bennett, Hooker, Corral, or QB available with Texans pick in 2024 draft. Best ball.

My point is do you think Stroud will be better than the top 3 QB's in the 2024 draft? If not then don't use a high pick on him and draft a guy like Bennett later in the draft as competition for Mills. Bennett probably isn't going to play next yr and neither is Hooker, Stroud should be ok, so you would win the bet.

Reading is fundamental. Having to explain what you wrote to someone that can't understand it, not fun. And mentally exhausting.

Again, all QBs taken at theTexans 2024 draft slot or later. If the Texans are drafting 8th, then the QB being selected in the top 7 would not apply.

I take Stroud. That's it.

You get:
Mills + Bennett + Hooker + Corral + All QBs taken at the Texans 2024 draft slot or later.

You don't have to pick one. You get the best of all of the QBs in the field. I just get Stroud.

I will take that bet. How many yrs do you give Stroud and the 2024 class before figuring out who won the bet? Let's 1st see where the 2024 QB's end up playing before making the bet.
