good enough players for that scheme. That's the main reason I like the ZBS. It doesn't require the best players to be successful. So it was a better unit not necessarily better players
Better players for that scheme though

& neither were drafted in the 1st round.Wow off the freaking chains. Breeze and Wilson are super bowl champions.
That’s because no one was hyping them up at the time. They should’ve went in the first round,& neither were drafted in the 1st round.
I’d really hate for the Texans to be the 1st team to pick a guy with that build with a top 10 pick. Where was Manzell picked? 16? & who picked him, the Browns?
nah, we don’t need to be part of that. I guarantee you the Texans won’t be the first team to get the “midget QB at the top of the draft” pick right.
Why? It’s not like he had an injury plagued career. None of the new rules are going to help him see over the 6’4” guys trying to protect him.I'm saying he can do better in today's game.
Not if they need to be hyped up. Try to stay away from those guysThat’s because no one was hyping them up at the time. They should’ve went in the first round,
who is winning? What is it about Young that make you rather not take him as the first QB in this draft?
I'm still debating myself.
One down, two to go.The Texans win them all and end up with top 6 pick. Instead of drafting Bryce Young they will draft Will Levis who will end up doing his very best Davis Mills impression.
One down, two to go.
Jacksonville will win, Indy will fold and get a higher draft pick than the Texans. Done deal. Mark it down. One down, two to go.
Well at least the Texans do have a real NFL head coach.Jacksonville will win, Indy will fold and get a higher draft pick than the Texans. Done deal. Mark it down.
recalculating....Chicago has the Lions and Vikings to play, it's unlikely they'll win either of those two. However, it is likely the Texans could win one of their last two, and I'm speaking of the Indy game, not Jacksonville. If that happens, the Texans pick at the number 2 spot.
Fire your analytics dept.recalculating....
Did I miss a press conference?Well at least the Texans do have a real NFL head coach.
wel...the colts need a QB worse than we do...Jacksonville will win, Indy will fold and get a higher draft pick than the Texans. Done deal. Mark it down.
panthers beat Lions so maybe Bears will?recalculating....

If Jacksonville wins, no way Indy can finish higher than TexansJacksonville will win, Indy will fold and get a higher draft pick than the Texans. Done deal. Mark it down.
If Jacksonville wins, no way Indy can finish higher than Texans
If Texans and Colts finish with same record Texans will pick before Indyif indy loses out and we win out our record will be the same
How is he doing now with throwing lanes and his launch spot? Aren't there tall guys on the OL protecting him and the DL coming after him? Why? It’s not like he had an injury plagued career. None of the new rules are going to help him see over the 6’4” guys trying to protect him.
He’s still going to have to adjust his throwing lanes & move his launch spot.

LMAO at this post.Think
Nope and I'm not an advocate for a QB but I'm not going draw a hard line in the sand.History denier
Hey, maybe Young will be the 1st.
Yeah I could see the Texans win the last 2 games. These are the dangerous games. In the past 3 seasons, the Texans have won 9 games. 6 have been against AFC South opponents (5 against the Jags, alone).
Week 16 @ Titans - Texans won in Nashville last year despite being out gained by 130 yards. The Titans are horrible, 29th on offense and 25th on defense. They've lost 4 straight and are 7-7 only because of a weak schedule.
Week 17 vs. Jags - No matter how bad the Texans have been, they've had the Jaguars number. Sure, you can tell me the Jags are 4-2 over their last 6, and in the division race. They'll be playing the Texans where they find ways to lose.
Week 18 @ Colts - Indy usually takes care of business vs, the Texans. But they got lucky to get a tie at NRG on opening day, and have played like crap ever since. They've already gotten one coach fired and the high school coach that replaced him has been worse (shocker). The Colts are riding a 4 game losing streak that will likely be 6 games before the Texans come to town. Both teams should be in vacation planning mode, but someone has to win this game. Unless we can be blessed with another tie!
So all of the Texans hard work at securing the 1st pick could be for naught with 2 wins the rest of the way. We need help. Even crappier game plans by the coaches. A few bad calls from the refs would be nice. More Jeff Driskel, please. We live in dangerous times.
Sunday's game in Houston. Texans beat the Jags and win out the season in Indy.Texans aren't beating the Jags this weekend, but it's possible they'll beat the Colts in the finale.
I would love to see the Texans win their last two, but I just don't see it. Jaggies are better than most people think, but they aren't "there" yet. Don't be surprised when Jacksonhole wins the division this year, but bows out first week of the playoffs.Sunday's game in Houston. Texans beat the Jags and win out the season in Indy.
Texans have a ½ game lead over the Bears. I don't know if they'll extend the win streak over the Jags to 10 games or not, but I do believe they've got a good shot of beating Indy. The Bears have the Lions and Vikings left. Vikings likely won't have anything to play for so maybe they could sneak that one out, but it's looking like the Texans, in their most Texan of ways, are about to screw up this #1 draft position.Sunday's game in Houston. Texans beat the Jags and win out the season in Indy.
This will be two years in a row of the Texans being miserable for most of the season but getting a second breath in December. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Texans end up with the 2nd pick instead of the 1st.Texans have a ½ game lead over the Bears. How about the 4th pick, if Arizonia loses out and the Texans win out. Denver loses out. This will be two years in a row of the Texans being miserable for most of the season but getting a second breath in December. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Texans end up with the 2nd pick instead of the 1st.
This is not necessarily a bad thing.Texans have a ½ game lead over the Bears. Might be better but they always find away to lose to the Texans.I would love to see the Texans win their last two, but I just don't see it. Jaggies are better than most people think, but they aren't "there" yet. Don't be surprised when Jacksonhole wins the division this year, but bows out first week of the playoffs.
All steaks come to an end sometime. This weekend will be the end to Jacksonhole always losing to the Texans. It's only fitting that we lose to the one team we always beat AND lose the 1st pick in the draft as well. It's what the Texans do; disappoint you.Might be better but they always find away to lose to the Texans.
All steaks as you say do come to an end if on my plate..All steaks come to an end sometime. This weekend will be the end to Jacksonhole always losing to the Texans. This is a point that rarely is mentioned. His opponents in college about same size as his opponents would be as a Texans QB. They will be better quality but so should his teammates. RB Jahmeer is balanced with Pierce and Tunsil better than Alabama LT. We see how the texans offensive line plays but in 2022 the tide did not have the normal offensive line quality. Same with their wide receivers. How is he doing now with throwing lanes and his launch spot? Aren't there tall guys on the OL protecting him and the DL coming after him?
The Jaguars have lost 9 games in a row to the Texans. Winning this game and breaking that losing streak is their incentive. They are not worried about where the Texans drafting lol.The Jags and the Titans will need to duke it out for a place in the playoffs.
Jags have no incentive to win the game against the Texans; a win makes no difference to them.
If anything, losing to the Texans can only help them in screwing up the draft position for the Texans.
They can rest some players for the showdown against the Tacks.
The Jags have more to win by losing this game if they think long-term.
On the other hand, winning is always a good thing.
And they may force the Texans to take either Young or Stroud, neither does Steelbtexan likes.
Intriguing.
Don't understand. Jags and Titans are tied at 7-8. It's a must win for the Jags....Jags have no incentive to win the game against the Texans; a win makes no difference to them....
Because of tie breakers no matter what each team does this week, whoever wins next week wins the divisionDon't understand. Jags and Titans are tied at 7-8. It's a must win for the Jags.
If the Jags win out and the Titans lose a game, Jags win the Division outright. This is what their mindset will be. Do you really think the players and coaches will be thinking they can slack off because it won't matter if they lose?Because of tie breakers no matter what each team does this week, whoever wins next week wins the division
That's not the point. The point is the division will be determined by what happens next week in the Titans vs Jags game. This game, nor the Titans/Cowboys game has any impact on that. They could both lose, both win, one team loses the other wins and it doesn't matter which, the AFC South crown will come down to Jags vs Titans next week.If the Jags win out and the Titans lose a game, Jags win the Division outright. Have heard that a thousand times before and they might start the game, maybe even play a full half or so, but I'd be surprised if they don't start sitting guys in the 2nd half, if not sooner. And Pederson is wrong. There are meaningless games and this is one of them. They go balls to the wall against the Texans in this game and lose Lawrence or Etienne or somebody like that, and hurt their chances of going to the playoffs, and all 18 Jaguars fans should be extremely upset and rightly so.
