Sexual Assault Suits Against Watson

If the suspension is less than a year how will you feel? Does the NFL appeal the decision? If they do I have to imagine the NFLPA sues. Could be a lot of drama after tomorrow.

Less than a year would be a huge let down. Definitely would send the message that a player’s conduct can be erased by paying a fine, thus no consequence to his personal decisions.

If I am the NFL any concern I have of a lawsuit from The Players Association I throw out the window.

Watson violated the conduct code simple as that. If I'm Goodell, I have to hit him hard and set a solid precedent on more than one topic.

He deserves a year in my opinion but we have to remember the NFL only presented 4 cases and there has been no criminal charges or prosecution. I would not be shocked if she goes 6 games or so….

Call me cynical, but my guess is 12 games. Week 13 is the Texans game. The ratings and attention will be massive and the NFL cashes in on a PR disaster.

Last cba, when nflpa gave up the goods, they thought Goddel had too much disciplinary power and agreed to the independent ex judge. Not to mention, the blowback from the Peterson, Rice, and the oline from Seattle. Nobody knows how this judge will interpret the code of conduct. I guess we will find out tommorrow

1. As I stated before I think the nflpa saw CBA with all the money coming in and the players share in that. They could wave at The Players the so-called independent judge. No one thinks he is going to go before the judge; focus is on the bank account.
2. Why do you think there will be a decision monday?

I really don't know, for some reason, the so called insiders think it will happen Monday. The nflpa got the short end of the stick again and as usual when compared to the other pro leagues. They generate more money than all the other leagues combined, but have the worse retirement and worse contracts. Not only that, they seem to negotiate vs their best interest. Why would anyone agree to a holdout fine of 50k per day when you don't even get any of your contract money during training camp?

The nfl had a drunk player run over and kill someone and returned to the league. In fact, they had 2 guys do that and came away clean as a whistle. Where are all the people who wasn't going to watch the nfl anymore after the social justice agendas? Check the ratings. The nfl is teflon and it doesn't seems to get even more leeway. Whatever this decision will go, the superbowl and playoffs will be the highest rated programs on televison. Sponsors will continue to drool and bid stupid amounts of money to broadcast their games.
I've got friends that used to live the Cowboys and they now play golf on Sunday due to the kneeling. They are going to the Texans/Cowboys game with us this yr. But they no longer watch the NFL and quit FF.

Because they don't want to be locked out and threaten to kill the golden goose.

I don’t know why I care so much. He’s gone and I’m so relieved. Why do I check daily to see if there’s been a decision? He’s gone. Yeah, our draft picks will be affected in some way but that doesn’t seem to explain it. It doesn’t make sense for me to care so much. He’s gone. Move on. But I can’t and I hate it.
Because you want to see what kind of suspension the NFL will hand down for a guy that's obviously a perverted sexual predator. It's like rubber necking a car wreck.

I don't know why everyone act like they can't wait. They just keep speculating and speculating without a clue. When she's ready, she will give her opinion based on her interpretation. Florio,Cabot, all of them, but nobody knows. Hell, Goddel doesn't even know because this was placed in the cba last time the players got worked in that bad deal they signed.
Why was it a bad deal and what would you consider to be a good deal?

Maybe. Just maybe. There is literally no evidence he did anything wrong. Two grand juries and a female judge who could have throw the book at him with no questions have found no evidence or not enough to say he did something egregious. I’m sure the emotional posters on here will rock me for this post but the reality is a lot of people on here have been wrong the entire way. Guess that’s what happens when you leap to conclusions.

Only 6 games because it was non-violent assault???
WTF is wrong with her?

We don't matter when it comes to the NFL. Sure, you have friends and Corrosion has relatives who doesn't watch anymore. Like I've said, I watch the condensed games more than the live games. Every year, the nfl games outperform everything on tv. Networks are giving out gobs of money to televise these games people are walking away from. There is a reason there are waiting list for season tickets for most football teams. Until you get into the millions and viewership drops 25%, then it doesn't really matter to them.
