I'm sure (sarcasm) that as with Duane Brown's pistol at airport DW forgot was in his bag.At least in one deposition, it came out that Watson brought prophylactics in his sports bag to his massage session.

I cannot imagine he completely avoids suspension altogether. There is at least enough evidence to show he negatively impacted the "brand" and in the past players have been suspended for that alone. So I think he will get some sort of suspension. The question is how do you apply the "severity" of what he has been accused of doing to a suspension. I am also curious as to how a judge views this since this is not a criminal-type hearing. Does she weigh heavily on actual evidence or is she putting faith in the female's words? There are just so many questions and I am eagerly waiting for her ruling.Like I said, we have it in our mind that things are going to go one way. We've convinced ourselves, because the "evidence" is so frkn obvious.
But, nothing has gone the way we've thought it would to date. I don't see why this would be any different.
IIrc, there were photos released to put the lie to thatRight, I'm not even referring to that "no-bill" just using the language. I'm thinking she's covering all the basis in her logic of not finding a violation.
I mean, he didn't contract Covid, so you can reasonably assume he took the necessary precautions.
Well there should be a lot of suspensions comingIIrc, there were photos released to put the lie to that
Well just think of it like this. Stakes are pretty high for the NFL here. A decision of “no violation” would be catastrophic, and would lead to much difficulty in future player discipline situations. I’m sure the judge understands that.Like I said, we have it in our mind that things are going to go one way. We've convinced ourselves, because the "evidence" is so frkn obvious.

The women were deemed credible by the police. Which makes it more likely the NFL presented those police reports to the judge along with his text messages and depositions.I cannot imagine he completely avoids suspension altogether. Probably, but you are assuming. And you are assuming that Watson and his team do not have actual evidence to dispute that. No one here knows the facts. I will take whatever this Judge decides as a good decision. She is impartial and has heard the evidence presented to her.Well just think of it like this. Stakes are pretty high for the NFL here. Evidence to dispute what? His own words?Probably, but you are assuming. And you are assuming that Watson and his team do not have actual evidence to dispute that. No one here knows the facts. I'm going to assume that's why the NFLPA specified an impartial third party. The ramifications to the NFL should be of nonevermind to Judge Robinson.Well just think of it like this. That loud noise you hear is Roger Goodell banging his head against his desk.
It’s mostly browns fans.I feel like looking at social media, the longer this drags out the more sympathetic people are becoming for Watson. Maybe that’s just my imagination but that’s what it seems like.

Every time they read a rumor that Watson will get a light suspension they're out there with "LETS GOOOOOO!!!" Annoying weasels. It’s mostly browns fans.
The nfl had a drunk player run over and kill someone and returned to the league. In fact, they had 2 guys do that and came away clean as a whistle. Where are all the people who wasn't going to watch the nfl anymore after the social justice agendas? Check the ratings. The nfl is teflon and it doesn't seems to get even more leeway. Whatever this decision will go, the superbowl and playoffs will be the highest rated programs on televison. Sponsors will continue to drool and bid stupid amounts of money to broadcast their games.Well just think of it like this. Stakes are pretty high for the NFL here. Did they intentionally run over them? The nfl had a drunk player run over and kill someone and returned to the league. In fact, they had 2 guys do that and came away clean as a whistle.
I don't know, ask Leonard Little and Donte StallworthDid they intentionally run over them?
I don't think they accidentally had alcohol poured down their throats.Did they intentionally run over them?
I don't think they accidentally had alcohol poured down their throats.
Please help The Pencil Neck. I think someone is accidentally pouring alcohol down his throat. But you don't know for sure... I mean, it's not like having alcohol accidentally poured down your throat is an unusual thing.
Right?
Right?

It doesn't matter what we think. My point was the NFL has been teflon don through every situation and this case will be no different. So you do think Watson should be suspended for the entire year.. seeing how that's what happened to Stallworth. Hardly came away "clean as a whistle".
Also while tragic, you're comparing apples to oranges here. The cases aren't comparable.

I don't think the NFL is going anywhere anytime soon because of the Watson scandal or any other scandal and if you doubt me check out the interest from the corporate community about purchasing the rights to the "Sunday Night Ticket" among our trillion $ corporate titans:I don't buy that ....
I know quite a few people who have walked away from the league over one issue or another.
I know quite a few more who are real close to walking away, some right here on this forum.
I've been on the verge of tuning out for a couple years now. Last year I didn't go to a single game when most years before I was going to most.
I didn't watch a single game last year in real time until the Superbowl, instead I watched everything on DVR and didn't bother to break down much all22 either when in the past I'd deep dive into several relevant games every week.
This year was the first time I didn't go to the draft combine since 2006.
If someone like me is on the verge of tuning out, that's significant.
My stepdad walked away and he's been around the league for the better part of 50 years. He gets his football fix watching high school games instead ....
@Double Barrel was making similar statements recently ....
It's always something with this league and its players .... one thing after another.
Thing is, this league started with a massive number of fans that the leaks in the ship aren't really noticeable yet.
It's going to take a big event to make them lose enough that there's any real impact.
This one might be that big event .... we are talking about more than 60 victims.
The few hundred people or even thousands of people who stop watching the NFL will have zero impact lol. I laugh every time says something like that.I don't think the NFL is going anywhere anytime soon because of the Watson scandal or any other scandal and if you doubt me check out the interest from the corporate community about purchasing the rights to the "Sunday Night Ticket" among our trillion $ corporate titans:

Or asking a masseuse to put a digit in your bung hole…that’s not unusual, is it?it's not like having alcohol accidentally poured down your throat is an unusual thing.
The CBA is very unspecifically specific............... a decision will be issued “as soon as practicable following the conclusion of the hearing.”![]()
AP sources: No decision in Watson discipline case this week
The wait for a decision on potential discipline for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson following accusations of sexual misconduct will continue into another week.apnews.com

You may not buy it, but its the truth. There is a reason why the salary cap is going up soo much after the pandemic. Even if everyone you knew and everyone they knew stop watching or purchasing nfl whatever, it doesn't make a dent. Look at the playoff ratings. Look at the values of the franchises. Viewership is up. If 25% aren't going to walk away because of this, they're just going to keep pushing.I don't buy that ....

If you are watching the NFL or any sport looking for athletes to be your moral compass, you already lost. They are entertainers. Stop giving them so much power in your life. If Watson did what he is accused he will be punished. It has zero effect on any of us on this forum. Stop being so emotional about it.
Cabot should join forces with Florio.
She really wrote an article saying it could come early next week but it’s not a guarantee
Cabot should join forces with Florio.
I don't know why everyone act like they can't wait. They just keep speculating and speculating without a clue. When she's ready, she will give her opinion based on her interpretation. Florio,Cabot, all of them, but nobody knows. Hell, Goddel doesn't even know because this was placed in the cba last time the players got worked in that bad deal they signed.Cabot should join forces with Florio.
The players were more concerned as a group over how much their checking account was going to be increased not what the process was if they had 66 massages.I don't know why everyone act like they can't wait. interesting.
I don’t know why I care so much. He’s gone and I’m so relieved. Why do I check daily to see if there’s been a decision? He’s gone. Yeah, our draft picks will be affected in some way but that doesn’t seem to explain it. It doesn’t make sense for me to care so much. He’s gone. Move on. But I can’t and I hate it.Really? No clue? Can’t figure it out?
interesting.
Everyone is expecting a Friday news "dump" for the announcement of the Watson decision. I wouldn't be surprised for it to occur near the beginning of a week.
