I think this is pretty fare and balanced but the national MSM guys have them at only 3-4 wins so I would not be betting on these predictions what do u guys think?

5-6 wins but if certain things fall just right it could be 7 or 8 and a slight playoff chance. All things considered I still like the 5-6 wins but a better team.

Week 3 is the only week I think we’ll be the favorites.
Don't forget we play the Jags twice.

I don't care what their offseason looks like, the Jags are the Jags....they might be favored in an early season game vs Texans but by our second meeting late season that could very likely change... depends who is better at being themselves IMO. Texans gotta Texans and Jags gonna Jag.

I didn’t want to give MeetBare too much to think about. I wanted to make sure he got the jab.

I like Mills and I think some of this is going to come down to how good he plays.

If he builds on what he did last season I think 7-8 wins is very doable.

There's really not any team on the schedule that is super scary to me.

Then again, I think the league is about as wide open as it's been in a while.

I'd consider it a big disappointment if this team doesn't get at least 6 wins.

You all know the Texans are my #2 and I will be watching and rooting for them through the season.
However, I think it's really hard to say what you get out of this team at this point.

I simply looked at the schedule, how the teams finished last year and how their offseason went.
That being said, I'm thinking 3-5 wins. Things always bounce oddly, so maybe up to 7.
Again, while rooting hard, expectations are low.

The Texans will need a lot of help from many of the rookies they just drafted in my opinion.
If they get that and Mills continues to impress, that may bump 1-2 more.
Hoping for the best !!!

If a whole lot of things go right for the Texans, and I do mean whole bunch of things have to go right, then it's possible for the Texans to scrape out 7 or 8 wins. It's just to many things have to happen for that to work, I just can't buy into it for now. Until I see the Texan's Ambulance Corps playing full time and looking like what we expected when they were drafted, just call me skeptical.

Gotta stay healthy, depth is lacking.

I don't think we will win more than 6 games this year, but I do believe we will be a better team on both sides of the ball and more competitive than the last 2 years. Here are the 2021 stats for offense and defense:
Points For: 280 (16.5/g) 30th of 32
Points Against: 452 (26.6/g) 27th of 32

The needle is finally pointing up on this team after several years of decline and disfunction.

I watched the Seattle game last weekend. The Texans were in that game midway through the third qtr.

Many games were like that. In my mind, the Texans were a competitive team last season. Just couldn't go the distance. Running the ball & the proposed DL rotation should help the Texans get through the 4th qtr

Agreed, only thing is facing the AFC West is going to make things much tougher next season.

My coworker is a passionate Cowboys fan. I don’t know how many games we’ll win but I really, really want to win that one.
No matter how good we are or bad we suck... a win over the Cowboys or Titans will always put a smile on my face.

A win over the Browns this season, though unlikely... would not only put a big grin on my face but it would be accompanied by quite a bit of laughter as well.

I dont believe the colts are better than us. They gonna have growing pains with Matty Ice in there.

I think we win against the colts. Twice.
I don't believe anyone in the AFCS is truly scary. Titans, Colts and Jags.

All have their potential but are still more likely to do what they always have (Biggest exception going to the Colts of course) than to rise above their history.

That said, if I were on the outside, I wouldn't be scared of the Texans either... so..... it could be an interesting season for the AFCS or an embarrassment that ends in default.

That said, I doubt we beat the Colts twice given our track record @Indy. Split, Id believe though.

Last years record was an aberration 4-13. The league has improved as a whole and in division plus strength of schedule will wind up being more difficult. Do think Texans will look better as a team and on the field as well, it just won’t translate to win column, yet.

2024 should be when we see the results payoff, maybe even .500+ and playoff contention? I’m no optimistic Texan more Reality Texan:koolaid:

8 wins (Colts, Bears, Giants, Redskins, Dolphins, Titans, Jags x2)
9 Losses
So you're predicting we're going to go 4-2 in our division? That's seems a bit optimistic to me. I doubt we win any more than two division games, and perhaps only one of them is the Jags. It would sure be nice if we did though.

To me it all depends on the stretch of potentially winnable games and our early bye. We have to win 1 of the 1st 3-4 and then come out swinging after the bye. If we can go .500 or better after the bye I'll happily take that. I think 6-7 wins is the least and 9-10 if everyone is healthy and the new system is working could be within reach.

The points for should go up. And the D, if everyone is playing well can be 20th to maybe 15. If that happens my 6-7 wins goes up to 8-9

Depends on how Mills looks.

I only expect them to win 4-5 games due to the SOS and theTexans lacking in talent.

Let me ask you,if you were the Jags and they only win 4-5 games would you look to move on from Lawrence and draft another QB high? Mills looked much better than Lawrence last season.
There are at least 10 winnable games on that schedule. The Division is still up in the air as well.

Texansballer74

The Marine
Point out which 10 games you think are winnable.
Let’s start with the Division:
Jaguars (2) We’re 8 -0 against them in the last 4 years.
Titans (1) split
Colts (1) we’re not losing both games like we did last season.
Bears - they are not a good team. They are trying to find their way too.
Chargers- We handed them a good old fashioned butt whipping last season. I don’t see why we couldn’t beat them again.
Eagles are solid. But that’s a winnable game
Commander will be another winnable game.
Giants are another team trying to find their way. Winnable game.
Dolphins is a winnable game.
And finally the Browns without the Chump will be winnable.

That’s 11 games right there. And because I can’t stand Dallas, I will put them on that list as well. You do know they don’t have any top notch receivers and Elliot is on the decline.

That totals to 12 winnable games.
