meh, I think it’s clear that at sone point in all this DW4 became willing to settle these civil suits and move on with his life, but Buzzard was unwilling to. he got too personal with it from the very jump, for no other reason other than DW4 CORRECTLY pointing out that he is a publicity hound. So sure he cared about the criminal complaints..maybe a little too much so in that he went & tied up an overtaxed criminal justice system with a shitty criminal case; trying to showcase his skills as a lawyer.

I mean we’re talking about the fact the DA had all these supposed evidence packet(s) for nearly a year. 9 of the alleged victims were supoeonaed but the GJ likely didn’t need to hear anything from the others b/c there was probably nothing there evidence wise with their cases except their very coached testimony. All The quick decision shows is that there really wasn’t much there to begin with.

At the end of the day, DW4 as well as the alleged victims have to each take some personal responsibility for having themselves in that position as well as the decisions they made after the alleged incidents. It’s 1 thing to “freeze” in the middle of a physical, forced situation/confrontation and make the decisions they made. It’s quite another to do that in a situation where you’re not physically forced, yet fail to at a minimum to remove yourself ….or him from the situation THEN not report anything until we’ll after the fact when a lawyer puts out a call & in all likelihood has to convince you that you were assaulted.

Look: Fans Aren’t Happy With Adam Schefter’s Tweet About Deshaun Watson

On Friday, a grand jury in Houston declined to indict Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson after a police investigation into 22 civil and 10 criminal allegations of sexual assault and misconduct against him.

After this news was released to the public, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter shared this message on Twitter:
“This is why Deshaun Watson, from the beginning, welcomed a police investigation: He felt he knew that the truth would come out. And today, a grand jury did not charge him on any of the criminal complaints,” he wrote.

Just because there wasn’t enough evidence to indict Watson this afternoon, that doesn’t mean he’s innocent in the matter. By sharing this tweet, Schefter discredits the more than 20 women who filed civil cases cases against the quarterback over the past year.

Schefter is getting crushed by his peers and fans around the league.

“There’s still time to delete this,” one wrote.

“A pretty disgusting tweet and I’m just floored that he’d think it’s a good idea to send it out,” another said.

“This kind of language is at the core of the problem. A lack of indictment does not equate to being free of wrongdoing nor is it truth. Be better,” another added.

As we’ve previously explained, indictments often hinge on the zeal applied by the prosecutor. If the prosecutor wants to indict a suspect, it’s not hard to do — since the defendant has no representation in the process. If the prosecutor doesn’t want to indict a suspect, it’s also not hard to do. The prosecutor controls what is and isn’t presented, and a skilled prosecutor can nudge a grand jury in a desired direction.

Those 2 were probably the original 2 clients of Buzbee, before he went to IG looking for "victims" and it ballooned to 22.

This is bs feminist propaganda. Other than the crack of your ass, where did you get the idea that most ACTUAL sexual assaults aren't even reported to the police for that reason? Cuz the flipside of that, as to why they wouldn't go to the police, but would file a Jane Doe lawsuit, is to get some bread out that man. They must've found out his networth after the fact and didn't think he paid them enough.

There wasn't 1 that fit that description...but there was 22 accusers. Of which, 20 surfaced in "Jane Doe lawsuits" after Tony Buzzbee took the to IG looking for "victims". That's never gonna look right to me.

All 22 women didn't file police reports...so why should all 22 have been in the grand jury proceedings? Also, you're saying that with the assumption that of the 9 criminal complaints, all of the women were denied the opportunity as opposed to them being offered to come and declining it.

The 22 women discredit themselves by not going to the police at the time of the alleged incident and reporting it. Instead they filed 22 Jane Doe lawsuits and only filed police reports after the public scrutinized the optics.

What established facts am I ignoring? People like you ignoring the established fact that of 22 women, ZERO reported to the police. And only 1 reported by the month of May, AFTER 22 Jane Doe civil cases were filed months earlier. And the other 8 didn't file until July. These are FACTS that you choose to ignore.

I've already debunked that websites statistical claims on other platforms. That are misrepresenting date from the Department of Justice to claim out of 1000 perps of sexual assault, only 25 are convicted. But when you click on the DOJ site they link it actually is saying 25 conviction per 1000 persons in the general population. So they used sleight of hand and goofy ppl like u bought it.

Yeah that is a weird stat. How can you possibly know things aren't being reported, if they aren't being reported lol.

I have no doubt there are assaults that take place and go unreported, but it is impossible to try and put a stat on it.

The thing you are overlooking when you look at the numbers is that the 25 out of 1000 is for ALL violent victimization. So in addition to rape it also includes assaults and robbery. Because DOJ victimization report is based off of surveys with people and not based on police reports. Basically they are told by people surveyed that they were assaulted but did not report it. From there it further breaks down to why they didn't report it and the nature of the assailant, family member or stranger. Since it is done anonymously and criminal charges are not pursued based off of it people are more willing to talk. The DOJ has been running this same report every year since 1973 to keep an active track of crime rates. When you see on the news that crime was up X percent this is where they are getting the numbers.

I would add that the victory lap is premature. He may have beaten the criminal rap. However there's still the civil suits he will have to deal with.

All nine of the women had their complaints entered into the proceedings of the GJ. It would seem to me that their complaints, and the police reports, may have been so weak the GJ felt no need to call them for further testimony, except for the one. What was to be gained from their testimony, except emotion, which is not legally relevant?

This seems more likely to be the case, than any other explanation or charge.
