Not sure how accurate it is, but Matt Rhule is supposedly in Houston right now. Take it with a grain of salt

I may be in the minority here but I have no ill will towards watson tbh but the sooner we trade him the sooner we can all move on
As fans of the Texans, we should feel a shared disgust about his dishonorable behavior.
If the Texans are nothing but doormats that can justify any prima donna player demanding what they want, then we should just accept that this is Detroit Lions south territory and be happy with just having a football team in Houston. Never expect or hope for anything greater because every player can just cite that they are unhappy with the owners and the dumb fans of Houston will blindly accept it.
I don't but it. It was the same owner and front office, sans O'Brien, when he signed that mega-deal in September 2020. He could have been a man like Cousins and forced the issue, but instead he signs a deal knowing that he's never going to honor it.
We will probably never get the truth, simply because it's not in the Texans DNA to reveal such things and Watson is clearly a selfish jackass that appears incapable of revealing who and what he really is to the public. He's got to spin his brand, so being duplicitous is just part of the marketing plan.
The sooner he's gone the better. On the bright side, many of us now have an NFL villain to actively root against. lol![]()
If he goes to the Saints, Sean Peyton will make the most of him.I think it’s going to be the Saints.
Sean Payton is gone, bubbaIf he goes to the Saints, Sean Peyton will make the most of him.
They will be instant contenders again and likely for a long time.
Huh...well there ya go.Sean Payton is gone, bubba
The Texans told the Colts no, so it’s a strong chance they rejected them too.By the Texans or Watson?
If you watched his interview, dude had a freaking smirk on his face when he went to talk about how emotional things are.The Texans have the ultimate no trade clause.
The arrogance of Watson is just bizarre. He demands a trade just months after signing a huge deal and now gets to act like a free agent in picking his next team. I don't believe in karma, but if I did, I'd hope he endures many losing seasons in the years ahead. He is the worst kind of selfish, entitled entertainer.
Dude stop it you didn’t have a freaking clue. Stop trying to take credit. Good griefI've been trying to tell posters this for years.
He’s not the head coach anymore. Supposedly going broadcastingIf he goes to the Saints, Sean Peyton will make the most of him.

The Saints are my secondary team. If he goes there, I’m dropping them like a bad habit.

I know you will all hate me and I’m ok with it.
But depending on which team Watson goes to, I’ll be rooting for him to win. On the field he is still one of my favorite athletes.
And Tepper is a nutcase to have offered Watson his choice of the next Panthers HC.The Texans have the ultimate no trade clause.

I don't know. I'm just not easily disgusted, I guess. And I'm sure there are much more villainous things going on behind the scenes with these owners than a guy refusing to honor his contract. We all know how the McNair's made their fortune. As fans of the Texans, we should feel a shared disgust about his dishonorable behavior.

I liked them before Payton/Brees. Aaron Brooks, Joe Horn, Ricky, then Deuce.Loved watching the Saints with Payton/Brees.
I did too. Drew had a brother pumped after his speech before the game. True leadershipLoved watching the Saints with Payton/Brees.
You’re going to have a bunch of people rooting for whatever team he goes to to win a Super Bowl just to prove you wrong.Go back and look at the times I called his play selfish. I didn't know his personal life was so screwed up and selfish. Although I should've known.
Some posters are just having problems coming to grips with what the guy they thought was 1 thing turned out to be another. (Not referring to you)

If it's the Saints I want them to throw in the rights to Sean Payton as an extra bonus. He hasn't ruled out returning to coaching. The Saints own his contract through the 2024 season. He would be a back-up plan to Lovie Smith. If Lovie does work out Payton would be a tremendous bargaining chip in any future trades.I think it’s going to be the Saints.
Just because an owner says a thing, doesn’t make it true. Even if you get it in writing. And Tepper is a nutcase to have offered Watson his choice of the next Panthers HC.

when the Texans fired Capers I figured it was time to go all in on the Texans.
Then the Saints win the Super Bowl
Wonder if we can get their colors too. I like black & gold.If it's the Saints I want them to throw in the rights to Sean Payton as an extra bonus. He hasn't ruled out returning to coaching. Preach it, brother. I’ve been saying it for months here.If it's the Saints I want them to throw in the rights to Sean Payton as an extra bonus. He hasn't ruled out returning to coaching. You think Payton would unretire to coach here? LOLIf it's the Saints I want them to throw in the rights to Sean Payton as an extra bonus. He hasn't ruled out returning to coaching. No, probably not.You think Payton would unretire to coach here? LOL
Oh yeah.True, I never thought about this.
Even if Payton was to never become the Texans HC, I bet Jerrah would bend over backwards giving up atleast a 1st and a 2nd for Payton. You want to bring C.D. Lamb home? I bet you could bring him home in a trade to the Cowboys for Payton.
Of course for the 2023 season I would rather Payton be the HC but having to pay off both Culley and Lovie isn't something Janice (If still alive) or Calhoun would do.
More teams to follow? 610 earlier this afternoon reported Watson intends to speak to these other teams tomorrow.
Jets is what I've been waiting to hear despite some saying all in on Wilson. I just don't see that . Whether they will, they can offer 4 and 10 and 35 and 38 this draft! I can come up with 2 to 3 young starters also. Negotiations you got to love them.McFadden with CBS says Browns and Jets made offers..Both told No
Just by saying it in public tells you he is a nut case. He didn't say "input," he said he would allow him to choose the next coach if he chose the Panthers.Just because an owner says a thing, doesn’t make it true. Even if you get it in writing.
Excellent point and I did not catch that as I just read that it was the Texans saying no. Good question.By the Texans or Watson?
There is exactly zero evidence supporting that DeShaun Watson has indicated he will ask any team to input on HC or GM.It is not only picking the team but having say in the head coach and GM.
That’s like a kid getting a part time job and telling their parents what type of house to live in and what type of car to drive.
I don’t see why teams would want that person to lead their team.
He is football’s James Harden.
