Flores is a man of principle. IMO, He is courageous for standing up for his convictions. Makes me like him more than all other candidates the Texans considered for the job.
 
All of this ******* waiting and secrecy, especially with the "finalists" they're supposedly known to be down to, is ridiculous. Stop prolonging the horrible decision about to be made and just get it done. You don't have to spend weeks crafting up some bullshit reasons for the presser of why you've made your horrible decision. Nobody's going to buy it anyway. Just rip the bandaid off and get it over with already.

Not so sure. His defenses seemed fine and apparently he is a great interview but I don’t think thats the best option out there…by far.

He is the best candidate linked to the Texans. Josh Mc doesn't have any reasonable coaching experience. Flores could argued that he has decent head coach experience, but law suit and questionable firing muddies that picture.

I have personally stopped dreaming about coaches not interviewed at this point.
 
They just need to hire Gannon and get it the f uck over with. Forget about trying to get cute hiring McCown cause the Texans don’t have a good track record with any “outside the box” bs. They need to make up their damn minds so the players can start getting familiar with his scheme/system.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I actually hope they hire McCown now. Flores can go be Cancernick 2.0 somewhere else! I’m sure Cal is more than likely going to be strong armed into hiring Flores just so he can drop that bs lawsuit though, smh.

That's a gut punch if true.
So it's either going to be wonder-boy with no experience, or we're going to give into the pressure and hire the guy that's going to be tasked with putting this team back together all the while having the Mother-Load of all distractions right in his face while he's suing the the team that's signing his paycheck, along with the rest of the NFL. And dumb-ass us...we're going to knowingly hire the guy thats suing us!
We waited for 3 years to get Nick down here, for this?!? Nice...

If you gave me a list of every hiring candidate for a HC 3 weeks ago, including these two, knowing what we know now, if that list had 100 names on it these two would be #99 and #100.

There's no way there are going nuclear and hiring Flores and if Gannon is out then y'all know were getting ready for the big McClown celebration! There's no other viable candidate that has been even remotely linked to this team.

They will probably commence contract negotiation tomorrow morning and we will have an announcement between tomorrow and Wed.

When is the parade? Before or after the circus?

An earlier post leaked that one of the three finalists had been informed he was no longer under consideration for the position, without naming who. Now we know who. Surprised me. I guess the differences in staffing was not reconciled.

Many think it's Flores. I find it difficult to presume he would be in tune with Caserio on the staffing conditions which seem to have eliminated Gannon. Particularly since Flores, with his defensive background, has coached a 34 defense and would seem to be at odds with Lovies's 43.

The Texans have to be going with McCown? And will announce it ... Monday?

Can't say it any better than that. So Nick is brought in and hires Clusterf...I mean Culley and then turns right around and either hires McClown or the drama king Flores who happens to be suing the company he plans to work for?

Maybe nobody worth a damn wants anything to do with the circus on Kirby.
 
I wonder if I can still cancel my season tickets? I normally pay for them in full, but something told me to do the payment option this year. I bought them Friday because I heard from multiple sources that Gannon was going to be the new HC. I want out!

Nothing that McCown has done in the past has prepared him for the pressure pot he's jumping into.
At least assistance coaches and re-treads have been there or been in it.
