Week 16: Chargers @ Texans

Chargers (-9.5) favorites, over/under - 45.5.

Basically, the betting line suggests a Chargers 27.5 Houston 18 score. That seems high on both ends to me. Taking the Texans plus the 9.5 and the under.
I don't know. The Chargers defense can definitely be had. Whether the Texans can have it or not is another thing, but the Bolts can put some points on the board too. Averaging 32 their last 5 games. If Ekeler is healthy, he should have a monster day. Hope the guy I play this week in fantasy playoffs doesn't have him, or Herbert, or Allen. Not worried about Mike Williams. I have him, he will do nothing if I start him, blow up if I bench him. What to do?

38-13 is a very real possibility. Maybe even 38-20 if the Texans can do something in garbage time.

I'm fine with the #3 slot in the April Draft, actually it might end up being the optimal 2022 Draft position.
Anyway just don't want the Texans doing anything cute like winning another game, not this year.
I'm not worried about this Sunday or a week latter in San Fran, but the last game here in Houston vs the Titans I just don't
want a scenario where Vrabel may have locked up his P/O spot and decides to rest his starters.

If the Colts can tie them up, they won’t get the opportunity to rest.

Got them right where we want them!

We are battling for first place...
NFL draft. Jags beat Jets and we lose out.

I'm hoping the Texans win out. I know there is nothing to base this hope on. But I'd rather the Texans win every game.
6-11 or 3-14 makes no real difference if the Texans draft well...or don't draft well. Oh wait, I forgot that there are actual Texans fans that are still watching them THIS year. I'm holding out hope for the future Texans players, because I know most of the players on this team now won't be here in twenty-three. And that will be a good thing...I hope.

Probably still won't be enough. I think the Jags will have the tiebreaker, which is strength of schedule. They would need to win 2 with the Texans losing out for the Texans to pick ahead of them. And Detroit still has to win another.

I am starting to lean towards Derek Stingley at 1.3 as I like defensive Edge rushers available in round 2 over Corners in that round. I still think Jacksonville if they were smart would go offensive tackle with their pick.

What's your opinion of ol prospects? Our ol is miserable.

Well, you don't have to watch them unless you're in the Houston viewing area. Texas affiliates have stopped showing them in any market except the local viewing area. Most of Tx is getting Buffalo/Patriots. I'll watch the train wreck on Sunday Ticket, I like the Chargers, Herbert specifically. If this game goes to plan, he should be sitting the bench in the 4th Q with a huge lead.

Is there a difference between watching them or living on their forum for whatever reason?

This is going to get bad. Half the defense is out, and the names we will hear on the defensive line this week are, WHO?? Herbert will light it up, even with Eckler out. Then Cooks is out on offense, so the one player Mills seemed to trust is down. I guess we will lean on that vaunted running game for points and ball control.

Who's the Chargers backup center?

More breaking news. It's now 22 Texans out with covid. The defensive front 7 especially hit hard. 11 of the two deep 14 are out. 8 of the starting 11 defense is out.

Britt and Howard add to list. Now up to 23 (someone came off list). Heck is only starter not on list.

If I heard right, the Texans only have four OL'men active; and I think they said three of these have been activated for only a week. So they'll have to sign/activate some more players.

Interesting . My nephew was bright enough to marry a doctor who has advised our core family. Most of us either work in high exposure fields or are high risk candidates. (I am actually both). She advised us on social distancing, masking and vaccines and none of us to date has gotten Covid-19 doing that trio.

Then again from a good ol boy a few months back. Ya know they aren't telling you do nothin' that your grandma didn't...don't stand on top of people, cover your face when ya cough or sneeze and wash your hands.
