BADBOY'S 2021 college players to watch

Would you trade laremy tunsil for the Jets 1 if it was a top-five pick?

If would depend on the rest of the package. Tunsil’s peak value is now and the Texans are in rebuild mode. Shedding his contract wouldn’t hurt the rebuild….but failing to draft a replacement that succeeds would hurt the rebuild. The good, there should be a couple of solid LT’s available where the Texans and Jets could be drafting.

Arkansas edge Tre Williams 6'5" 255 is only positive vs Georgia. I am comparing him to Thibodeaux.

Occasionally flipping to Texas vs TCU to watch CB Noah Daniels whose injury history is a concern.

Haven't seen Michigan DE Aiden Hutchinson has not show me much so far.

Yes, I’d capitalize on Tunsil and draft a LT to grow together with whomever our young QB is.
But I don’t think the Jets would make the trade. They have Becton.
No they don't..
New York Jets offensive tackle Mekhi Becton will miss a significant amount of time this season due to MCL and cartilage damage in his knee that he suffered against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. On Tuesday, the Louisville product provided an update on his status. If all goes well, Becton could return to the field as early as November. He’d provide a huge boost to an offensive line that is currently being anchored by George Fant and Morgan Moses.

Fant is average and should be moved to back up if Jets were to get Tunsil.

I knew Becton was injured. Why would you give up a top 5 pick if your future LT will come back next year? They have a ton of needs, they could shore up the iOL with Kenyon Green or even go DB with Hamilton or Stingley.

wow top projected draft pick Kyle Hamilton just got turned around by WR who caught TD pass. My second game to focus on safety Hamilton and I'm not seeing a future pro-bowler that others have seen.

Since our CB room needs some additions, do you have guys that you like so far?

I like Andrew Booth, Kaiir Elam, and Riley Moss. I like Gardner, but was wanting to see him more.
Booth and Singletary by far with eye on Ahmad Gardner. If we get Howard in trade and 1.27 I probably take one of first two to pair with him and then another defensive player at 1.27 and another at our round two. No other trades ..it has to be a defensive draft for first two rounds. I would also trade up both our threes for 2.52ish and then go offensive with Luke Matthews A& M of the historical Matthews family.

I stated last week that I had finally put Pitt QB Kenny Pickett on my watch list. Soon after, the media put him up there as well….with USA Today Sports even touting him as possibly the next Dan Marino or next best QB in Pitt history behind Marino. He had an impressive game at Georgia Tech today. Has that same short, compact, quick release that made Marino special. He probably spent his entire younger day emulating Marino since Pitt was the CFB program he’d always dreamed of playing for.

Just updating myself on Ahmad Gardner 6'2" 188 corner for Cincinnati and he intercepts a touch down drive of ND.
<---- <----- <----- I don't know about Ahmad but I suspect a few people will now understand why I wanted the Texans to hire Luke Fickell as their new head coach. He's a WINNER!!!

Kayvon Thibodeaux kicked out of game versus Stanford for targeting the quarterback. Stanford goes on to win in overtime. Monday will be another number three team

If he can maintain his stats he quickly moves up on my board. I would like to see him against a better defense then he has seen so far.

He is in the second season of his new extension at 3.4 million dollars a year. He may not want to take over the Texans and those headaches unless it's for at least twice the money.

Sadly, I know that no high caliber coach with Fickell's credentials would ever consider a team like the Texans.

What’re y’all’s thoughts on Bijan Robinson?

He’s having a great season so far, and we could use someone in the backfield.
He's special the way for such a big man he can make quick jump cuts. He's got homerun speed too. He wont be draft eligible until 2023.

Reminds me of Peterson except he also catches the ball really well. Hutchinson and Leal are 2 guys that have really impressed me. Can turn the corner on their pass rush and really holds up well against the run. They also are high effort players.

Anyone get a chance to see Pitt’s Senior TE- Lucas Krull? This guy is 6-6 @ 260 lbs and has 5 TD catches this season. He didn’t get many targets before this season during his Pitt career. This guy could be fun to watch when his Pro Day rolls around. By the way……what an awesome last name for a TE.

I haven’t seen him, but his WB has been putting up some numbers so it doesn’t surprise me that he’s been racking up the TDs.

A different TE I’ve been looking at for stats is the TE for Coastal Carolina. Isaiah Likely

He has 4 TDs this season and 281 yds.

Well first of all you want to protect your quarterback for the rest of 2021. Second you do not know if Kenyon Green is going to make it in the NFL although he is really good. Third I would in 2022 put Tunsil left tackle and Becton if healthy at right tackle. He is slower than Tunsil and would be even better right side while he continues healing while playing.

Tunsil is what Becton might become.

I would use this same approach with the Eagles and Mailata with his injury if the right trade was there.

I thought UT might upset Sooners today but wow what a start. 75-yard touchdown pass and then a blocked punt leading to a 2-yard touchdown run has Texas up 14 to nothing. With just over 9 minutes left in the first quarter right or tube set and runs for a touchdown

First quarter almost over between Arkansas and Ole Miss 7-0 Hogs. My guy Trey Williams getting into it with an offensive lineman. Ref had to shove him away

Another bad call by Spencer Rattler as he chose not to pass it to wide receiver Mims and almost threw an interception trying to force it closer to the goal.

Edit continue: Rattler playing himself out of NFL draft as he fumbles and UT back amazing run breaking several tackles to one yard line. Texas scores next play 35-17. Much better game for UT than I expected. Rattler pulled.

Arkansas ties up the "make up game" with Ole Miss 31-31. Trelon Burks has two consecutive catches over 30 yards to get ball to red zone.

Edit: Tre Williams injures right hand or arm next play but trots off field.

Dang that pass to worth by Thompson was good. Texas.. flipping channels..
One second left, Ole Miss 52 Ark 45 Ark has ball on 9 yard line...
TD!! go for 2 to win but incomplete pass. 52-51

Texas trying to keep OU out of field goal range allow RB to score with three seconds left. Sooner comeback

17-7 A&M and Aggies lost chance for TD within 5 yards after two runs by Isaiah Spiller when OC called for a pass that Bama intercepted. I thought it would be a fake to Spiller with QB taking it in.

I wouldn’t mind adding Burks to our WR group.

ESPN: Oregon's Kayvon Thibodeaux is more than the next potential No. 1 NFL draft pick.

Thibodeaux worries me much like Clowney did. Don’t want to say he’s going to be a Clowney but something makes me feel like I did when every analyst was saying the Texans have to pick Clowney…..and when the Texans weren’t exactly sure Clowney would be the #1 pick, no team was willing to trade into that spot for Clowney.

I have the same concerns but cannot really identify. Oregon is playing tonight if I remember correctly at about 9:30 on ESPN. Hopefully that will give us some information. He is coming back from an ankle sprain.
