they’ve done draws, quick slants, bubble screens & Buffalo has been ready for it all. This is b/c D-coordinators know just like an O-coordinator knows that the smart thing to do in protecting a rookie qb is to run the ball and in the event you pass, get the ball out of his hands as quickly as possible.

There’s always been a “yeah, but” with Taylor since coming over. Yeah, he’s solid but unimpressive. Yeah, he’s a good role model for a young quarterback but not as a consistent presence on the field because he’s had injury issues. He’s not a guy who gives a young guy time to sit on the sidelines and learn. He’s basically useless in that capacity.

Best thing to do to protect the rookie QB is run the ball but the Texans haven't been able to run the ball for years so he has no chance.
