Sexual Assault Suits Against Watson

I keep trying to post some thoughts on this over the past several days and keep deleting. I have no sympathy for Watson. He is a person of low character, possibly sick. But I keep looking at the charges against him and I can't help thinking these women are weak. A popular description is "snowflake".

Just look at the most serious set of charges, by one Jane Doe 15 : 1) She saw Watson naked; 2) Watson moved his penis so as it touched her hand; 3) Although Watson had pre-ejaculated, he still had some discharge which got on 15's hand; 4) She felt sick, confused and upset.

Considering the profession these women are engaged in, none of this should constitute behavior which should be totally unexpected and which these women should be capable of handling. These women supposedly are licensed, which means they have had 500 hours of supervised training and passed a national certification exam. Perhaps I'm overthinking, but I would think at least a few hours of this training would have touched on unruly clients, what is to be anticipated and expected, and how to handle themselves in such a situation.

None of this excuses Watson's behavior, but professionals in any profession should be expected to be capable of handling themselves, and situations which may arise, when performing the duties of that profession.

Perhaps this affair is a reflection of our culture and our society; not only Watson's behavior, but also the behavior of these women. And for someone of my generation is representative of our nation's decline.

You know I’ve had massages before, sports, Swedish, deep tissue, even a Japanese one with a woman weighting 90 lbs soaking wet walking on my back, etc. I have chronic back pain from an old injury and other issues that come from being a fat SoB. Some of these were by very hot women and I can honestly say never once did any of them see me naked , never once did they have to worry about getting my bodily fluids of any nature on them, hell only once did I get any kind of an erection and that had more to do with the very soft and fluffy towel I had wrapped around me (a towel I asked if I could buy and it was worth every penny of the 30 dollars. Manager even grinned said they have that question asked a lot)

Point is you are making it sound as though dealing with naked, erect men leaking fluids is a part of their normal job. If it’s a real massage they are not strippers and they don’t handle male junk on a daily bases. And while everyone is different most men this happens to get embarrassed, say sorry, pay out (leaving a massive tip no pun intended) and never get another massage. They don’t try and rub themselves on her or contact her to set up another round.

That's not the most serious set of charges , there are multiple complainants stating he forced them to perform oral sex.

As for diminishing JaneDoe#15's accusation to a snowflake like she should expect that because of her profession .... that's just wrong. No , she shouldn't expect people to treat her like a whore , she should expect people to act with some dignity and respect.

Bet you'd feel just as violated of someone forced you to touch their junk.
I feel violated when I touch my own junk.

The front office's next hire for sure

Why Trump?

I do not know how instagram works. If users are required to use their real name etc... then it should be fairly simple for DWs team to figure out who they are. If however you can use a "handle" like on this board it could be next to impossible at least on many of them. One of the things I would be looking for is if an accuser had sued a dozen other people in last couple years. Civil litigation has become a very lucrative industry in our country. I readily conceed that the results of many of these cases lead to great and needed changes in our society. But I would also think somone would be foolish to believe the system was never taken advantage of. I also think it would be naive to think as many cases have been filed that these are the only instances that DW had massages etc... We've already seen one lady come forward and state she had seen Watson on multiple times with no issues. The point being, as often as it may have occured, how in the world could Watson even remember all the details and which occasion they applied to?
So wait, DWquitter4 assaulted or raped so many women, he can not remember nor differentiate them now?
Just wow.
And you defend him.
Shame on you, sir.
Dancing is forbidden.

Well yeah, everyone knows you’ve never wanted him here, but we just thought it was all football related. You should have spoken up long before now if your beef with him was all just about his sex life.

And if this has been going on for years, the timing is absolutely suspicious If this all of a sudden comes out at the same time he wants to be traded.

Here is my opinion for what it‘s worth, and granted, most of you aren’t going to like it. I think some of you, if not most of you, just have a chapped ass that he doesn’t want to play here anymore, and are conveniently using this sex scandal as a means of getting your little pound of flesh.

I'm certainly not in this group and I don't need to get a pound of flesh. God'ell will take care of that.

Well he made it seem as if something’s never changed.

1. He found out about the Hopkins trade through social media. He again supposedly heard about the GM Caserio hiring through social media.

This is after Cal told him at a lunch meeting that he would keep him in the loop.

How did the rest of the team find out about the Nuk trade? Did Deshaun consider himself more equal than everyone else and was entitled to be personally notified about front office decisions? Even his guy O'Brien - HC & GM - did not call him. And it certainly did not matter on September 5, 2020, when he was signing that massive extension.

Same with Caserio and the overall GM hire. Even Tom Brady and Peyton Manning never had a say in front office decisions.

And at this point, I'm honestly questioning Watson's credibility with these "promise" claims. From what we've been told since: Deshaun Watson Wasn’t Promised GM Search Input

And I get it, consider the source. But really, that road should go both ways.

It never really made sense why they would give him that much executive power when he has zero experience with analyzing GMs. I guess it could have just be lip service by a dumb owner, but is that really so offensive as to demand a trade?

2. Loyalty: they didn’t take his particular GM and HC list seriously. So he probably felt they lied to him. And when they did look at those that were on his list, it was after the fact.

But like you stated, it’s time cut all ties with Watson. If guilty his NFL career should be done.

Loyalty. . .hmmmm, now there's a loaded word. $111 million guaranteed seems pretty loyal to me. I'm honestly not sure how a football franchise can show more loyalty than giving a player one of the biggest contracts in NFL history.

If they lied to him. . .again, the road goes both ways. Here's the so-called "face of the franchise", the one that advertises his integrity and religion like a badge of honor to promote his brand, but he's secretly out there whoring around (at best) and maybe even sexually assaulting women (at worst).

Talk about dishonestly. His entire facade appears dishonest at this point.

I'm not coming at you, Tb74. We are in agreement. I'm still just trying to wrap my head around the past week. It's surreal.

At the very least DW4's a phony and a sex addict.

At worst he's a serial sexual assaulter. Those that are defending him should think about that for a minute.

Just FYI, I realize sexual assault is no laughing matter. When I joke in this thread, it's just to add some relief from the weighty subject. And I'm not even sure there was an assault made on these Jane Doe's by Watson, but I have first hand knowledge the kind of carnage sexual assault can have on someone's life; it lasts forever.

Now back to your regular scheduled programming.

I guess you think that half naked women on IG, or anyone who gives massages, are just all supposed to be horn dogs?

"half naked women on IG" are advertising a service. The service is demonstrated by their half-nakedness. IF (and it's a big "if") some or all of these masseuses are flying under such a banner, their cases will fail. The others (I assume there are others) will not.

I should add that I don't believe for a minute the women are lying about what happened. Some might be elaborating it somewhat, or Buzzcut might be, but I don't imagine many of them are lying (as in making up the whole shebang). I suspect Watson has been long at this and has been fortunate to find willing participants heretofore, but now that the deal has blown up in his face, all (or many) of the players are coming forward for their payday.

SOME are surely victims, some are just revisionists, but with this kind of pony show it is going to be impossible to tell which are which.

PS While I'm at it, I figure this problem is the root of his request for trade. He might have expected the team to cover for him, to help him out, to "fix" the problem, and they said "No thanks," and thus he was ticked and ask for a trade, and subsequently accused to team of "lack of loyalty".

Somebody said somewhere that if this kind of thing had happened in Dallas, Jerry J. would have "taken care of it." That seems likely to me.

Exactly right on all points IMO.

Also, I have no idea why a qb needs input on a gm search. If he didn't like that then see John Elway, John Lynch and go that route.

It's considered the most serious charge because of the supporting evidence.

You are using the word "expect" slightly different from my use. Minor detail.

I know you’re not coming at me like that DB. You were asking why, and I lamented Watson’s reasons for wanting out. Pretty darn lame IMO.

15 is also a personal trainer, not a massage therapist, and is said to have told Watson so. He then told her that didn’t matter, and the appointment was made. 15 is also reported to have immediately called her mom and a friend afterward, and told them about it, and Watson is also said to have sent messages asking if she was OK. So I don’t know what’s snowflake about that.
Overly emotional, easily offended, unable to deal.
... I guess you think that half naked women on IG, or anyone who gives massages, are just all supposed to be horn dogs?
No

I haven't posted in this thread for a week, mainly reading now but at this point wouldn't DW be better to just tell Hardin to get with Buzbee and let's settle? The sheer volume of cases and the plantiffs leverage seems to say you're not getting off anyway so let's settle and move on.

"Both parties had misunderstandings of what was expected in these visits and to that point today we've reached a settlement to avoid court proceedings"
Watson seems hell bent on clearing his name.

No, but there should be the awareness that such behavior is possible. As TW1998 correctly pointed out, under controlled conditions, it may be diminished, but the possibility is always there. Practitioners should always be aware of this possibility and should be prepared to handle it.

In my younger days I road a motorcycle. Recognizing the dangers, I mentally prepared myself how I would react if ever in certain situations. This saved my life.[/QUOTE]

I don't care if she was a porn star-if she didn't ask to touch his penis or put it in her mouth and he did it anyway then he assaulted her and the court should file as such.

Wow.
If DW was just some guy off the street would you think 20 women all got together to lie? Do you really believe a high profile lawyer, who could be disbarred and sued for hundreds of millions of dollars if that was true, cares that much about your QB to do that?
Dw4 anything but a nobody civy, but rather a multi m many times over - perfect for snake in the grass like buzzbutt

Do we owe jack easterbee an apology???

Maybe this is what he was trying to avoid?

He sure seems respected by patriot players.
First, Easterby's role with the Patriots is different from his role with the Texans. The Patriots would never have Easterby as a GM or VP of Football Ops. Like Belichick said, "Jack is not a personnel guy".

Second. I would wait on the apology. IMHO. This is a messy affair and we are still making assumptions and Deshaun-washing all the idiocies of the past year. Whether it was about Olsen, Palcic, Rootes and even O'Brien there were non-player issues in that organization. It's becoming too easy and convenient to ignore them and just blame Watson as the source of all the organizational dysfunction. I need more facts/less assumptions and speculation before crowning or apologizing to Easterby.

So when Watson makes a big play and he does the stinky finger sniff, you think he is actually thinking about the massage he had earlier that day???!
You know, I don’t know what goes on between Watson & his masseuse. But after reading the complaints (the first nine anyway) I’m pretty sure it’s his masseuse’s finger with the smell.

Disclaimer: I’m still a Watson fan until he’s found guilty.

The thing is, though, Watson did want out at all cost before this sexual allegations surfaced. Everything leaked from his camp is that he was willing to sit out as long as he had to and even forfeit income. If that's not "at all cost", then I'm not sure what would be.

The thing none of us could figure out is WHY? He just signed a massive contract a few months prior that guaranteed him $111 million. The only thing that made any sense at the time was to point fingers at the Texans front office/ownership for some alleged promise they made and some SI stories about Easterby. But that's all we had, and even then many of us did not see it as justification for his demands.

NOW, however, there appears to be a LOT more to the story, and it's not hard to ascertain (and assume) that it's all related and connected.

Watson has had some dirty little secrets. That much is clear. And maybe his loyalty tweet was more about who was willing to look the other way vs. those that might hold him accountable. I doubt Cal, Jack, Caserio, and Culley, were ever going to look the other way to an obvious two-faced superstar and a potential sexual predator. If that's the kind of loyalty he requires, it all starts to make sense why he wanted out "at all cost".

As a Texans fan, I'll just be glad when he's gone. The sooner the better, but I know this process is going to take some time.
I have wanted DW4 gone since before these allegations took place. I never sympathized with his supposed complaints and I lost respect for him. I just wish he would have been traded before the lawsuits came to light. I hope this is settled to where he can still be traded for a few early first round picks.

That said,I have never been good at judging Qb talent but I would love it if we could somehow get Zach Wislon and I would be right about a Qb for once!

I think New York, Miami and the Panthers are still in the race. On the radio this morning I heard a local attorney name Sam who stated the issue with a settlement is for example if the 16 lawsuits are resolved what about the other eight claims? Also would that encourage other claimants to come forward despite having a non-disclosure.

IIRC, he said if a settlement is reached he did not expect the NFL to place Deshaun on the commissioner's list. He also stated that he thought Goodell does not want to address this particular issue if it could be resolved.

Woman #15 is the biggest obstacle for Harden to overcome as the attorney said she had called her mother and her best friend immediately after returning home and telling them what happened. Attorney Sam stated since it happened in May of 2020 the other claimants did not know about her nor she them lending credibility to both. Every attorney that I have listen to stated if they were Watson's legal advisor they would get him before a mediator immediately.

If no criminal charges are brought forth, lot can be resolved in the next month.

I guess considering that NYJ are flush with 2 1’s, 2 2’s this year and next, they might consider a package of all future picks but man, that’s gonna be damn expensive.

So a woman who posts pics of herself in a bikini means touch me with your penis. Gotcha. Oh, and if you want I can give you a massage too.

Overly emotional, easily offended, unable to deal. No
:hankpalm:

I doubt a damn one of us knows what's really going on here. All we have is what few facts are known publicly and our opinions.

Someone needs to get on with this show, it's going to slow for me.
Slow? This off-season is barely 3 months old (seems like 14 months), and we've still got 5 months of it left. You ain't seen slow yet.

I guess considering that NYJ are flush with 2 1’s, 2 2’s this year and next, they might consider a package of all future picks but man, that’s gonna be damn expensive.
Jets reportedly moved from 29th power ranking to 24th after free agency. Watson should move them up to around mid pack this season. Better FAs would come next off season.

I wonder if they would be interested in Randall Cobb?

I doubt the trade would include Watson since he probably isn’t playing football for the entire next season from my guess. This would all be based on NYJ keeping Darnold and putting 2 up for sale. And man, that is going to be expensive.
I also doubt Cobb would be worth much. They just signed Corey Davis and have Denzel Mims.
I dunno, maybe they would include him.

Lots of what if’s, and a guy called Sam. Lol. I dunno, man.
I don’t see him playing football regardless. Elliott was suspended for 6 games for nothing near this even if Watson does settle.

I think your point is relevant when it comes to damages. I agree that a massage therapist should not be distraught if something happens during a massage that is somewhat likely... "HOWEVER", as you stated it does not exonerate Watson in any way. If this happened once or twice it could be written off as an accident. But if it happened as this many womoen are saying it was intentional. It would also, in my opinion, be much more disturbing for the massage therapist if she knew it was intentional.

So wait, DWquitter4 assaulted or raped so many women, he can not remember nor differentiate them now?
Just wow.
And you defend him.
Shame on you, sir.
Dancing is forbidden.
Just to be clear, I think he's guilty and I hope he gets what he deserves. While I can see where my comments could easily be taken as defending him, I was commenting on the process which I don't think is fair. I think the 6th amendment should apply to civil cases as well. Not knowing the history, I think when our country was founded there were very few civil cases, if any. I think if civil cases had been as prevelant then as they are now, our founding fathers would have included them when it comes the 6th amendment. I think everyone should have the right to know who is accusing them.

I understand your point of view but I still think as did that attorney that Watson will play somewhere just not in Houston in 2021. I also realized Cobb has little Draft worth but I would like to dump his contract.

I'm enjoying watching the DW4 guys go to pathological means to defend him. It's like they have share a pathological disorder with DW4.

I think you are confusing the yelling of "guilty" from the top of the mountain versus the idea that until there's a court case where both sides present or defend their case, I'm holding off on saying "guilty".

I've stated multiple times that Watson is an idiot for putting himself in a situation like this....but by no means does that make him guilty b/c that's what I want to see. I want a trial and a verdict, nothing more, nothing less.

What level of punishment would you like to dole out based on allegations?

I'm enjoying watching the DW4 guys go to pathological means to defend him. It's like they have share a pathological disorder with DW4.

You're going deep-end of pathological hatred. Your absolute hatred of Watson (far before you knew anything about this guys personal life) makes me see you as a rabid foaming at the mouth human when his name is mentioned. You are using this current situation to go hatred overload and you're basing this on "accusations" at the moment.

I prefer to wait sand see what happens when everyone involved is hauled into a court room and both sides are presented. Until then, I want to explore both sides of the story to determine what's fact or fiction. Now how in the duck does that make me a sufferer of some (Watson) pathological disorder that you want to use to slander member(s) on this board that don't jump on your bandwagon?

Your hatred is way off base cowboy.

I think people don't want to admit that they were wrong about the Texans being so stupid .... Everything is their fault ,Cal's a moron and Easterby's a snake oil salesman .... They harmed Deshaun somehow.

When the reality is Deshaun cut himself and the team did what they could to try to protect him from himself.
I'm also starting to sense that your second sentence and not the first is most representative of the real narrative of this chain of events that's been happening in recent weeks and months.

So was he racketeering by shipping prostitutes across state lines?

Or worse was he sexually assaulting women for sport?
