really interesting steel as I know that you like several running backs on day 3.
I do like Stevie Scott/Amir Rose/Steven Carr/Chris Evans as late Rd guys. There are a couple more but I can't think of them off of the top of my head. Any idea if Kennedy Brooks is coming out?

Any of these guys paired with a vet like Mike Davis and I would feel pretty good about the rb position. I'm also higher on Scottie Phillips as a 3rd down rb. Of course Buddy Howell makes the team as a core ST's guy.

I think RB, Sermon could be there in RD4.....maybe RD3 if he can perform in his Pro Day.

Also, I would keep an option open for signing Bell.

RB1- McCaffrey
RB2- Bell
RB3- Sermon

Texans could have a solid running game with this trio. All 3 can run, catch and block.
Doubtful they bring in Bell

Cultural fit

That's been what I assumed since about mid season.

Owners have to recoup about $21.5m each per year over the next 4 to make up for the 2020 losses of about $2.25b.

Right, not the kind of cuts we expected to see. Seems the Texans are taking a very different approach than "we" assumed.

I think Kelemete was on a couple of the "cut lists" around here .... along with Fulton , McKinney & Martin.

I don't think Fulton gets the axe , he's making peanuts for the position.

If HOU trades Watson
Then at least one bad contract needs to be sent out with Watson.
W.Mercilus
R.Cobb
D.Johnson

B.Cooks and Fells should be released.

The bridge between stupid and useless is short.
I don't see them getting anything at all for McKinney. He's a liability in todays NFL .... he can't cover a baby with a blanket.
Strongside inside backer in a 3-4 doesn’t have to cover much. He has value. Might as well get what they can. 4-6th rd pick.

I meant if we are going to cut him I would trade him. I would like to see him come back at a lower rate. You can’t throw all the talent away. He’s the best WR we have.

The cap is going to skyrocket next year into the mid 200s with the new TV deals. Wonder if teams are gonna just ignore the cap this year. Keep it close but not worry
I understand that. My point is, Taylor is going to be what, about $12M? When he hits the books the Texans will then be $12.6M over for this year.

They’re going to have to do some serious reworking of contracts or make some big cuts or trades to get back under. I see the discussions of trading Tunsil here and those opposed to it, but that would free up $9m.

But if Watson doesn't play, I think $16M comes off the book?

Let's say Watson is suspended for 2021 season, do the Texans receive any compensation for that? Or do the Texans just get screwed?
