I wouldn’t at all be opposed to giving Marvin Lewis another shot...matter fact he’s my guy if they go retread. He’s a players coach, he knows how to handle these guys having dealt with and got the most out of the Chad Johnson’s of the world. He’s got a helluva pedigree when it comes to coaching defenses with that 2000 Ravens defense. His defenses also weren’t horrible in Cincy either. He knows defensive talent and he knows how to coach. He unfortunately just had some bad luck in Cincy. 1st in 2005..a season in which they were expected to make it to the AFCCG before Palmer’s knee got shredded...& then with Dalton just not being good enough to get them over the hump. But he still did some really good things there considering where the Bengals franchise was when he was brought on and the owner he had to deal with...
I would absolutely LOVE to bring Lewis here to revamp this defense.
The Texans "Search Committee" is one big facade. Korn Ferry is getting paid a load to give legitimacy to the search. And as for the recently added star-studded search cast, Dungy has already come out and stated he is in no way part of the Texans search committee. Every thing that I have found points to Watson and McClain being the sole driving force behind the push for Bieniemy, and Cal creating a an extensive protective cocoon should the GM and/or HC choices go south.
Is Leftwich a legit candidate?Just a lil toy to play with from ESPN. I'm not agreeing nor disagreeing with it.

Which candidate is the perfect match for each of the seven vacancies? Pair Marvin Lewis, Eric Bieniemy, Robert Saleh and more with a team.www.espn.com
I think it is a case of LaDainian Tomlinson and Dennis Franchione.Couldn't be more vanilla. Works when you have a 250 lb monster at RB, and a power o-line. Not a fit with what the Texans have on offense.
Who have they blamed for O'Brien & Gaine? If the GM and HC end up being trash, he can blame the search committee. It's totally stupid to be so dumb.
So what are they going to do when he goes to the Chargers?
I looked thru Smith's history, and he's been exposed to a lot of run first football. Offensive lineman in college, learned under the wing of Joe Gibbs when he entered the league, and worked under Mike Munchak when he cut his teeth as a position coach.I think it is a case of LaDainian Tomlinson and Dennis Franchione.
According to the updated article the Texans haven't even requested an interview with Bienemy. That's probably because they haven't interviewed Bieniemy, yet.
Fortunately, I don't believe in the tooth fairy? That's probably because they haven't interviewed Bieniemy, yet.
When you begin a process and the first thing you do is narrow your talent pool you just know a major Fuster Cluck is about to happen.well they are not going for the college coaches...
What actually makes a good HEAD coach? Being more of leader than a coach or a teacher. You want a guy who is able to make everyone around him better than they are in all phases of their life and in everything they do. You want a HC whose players will run through a brick wall for him.what actually makes a good coach?
Or they are interested in other candidates. There is no proof Watson wanted him. He gave him praise. Everyone started drawing conclusions. But but but watson wants him.......
In all seriousness though they'll probably save him for last
It's crazy how that works. We even have posters claiming Watson not only wants Bienemy, but he also wants a black GM. SMDH.Or they are interested in other candidates. There is no proof Watson wanted him. He gave him praise. Everyone started drawing conclusions.

When Smith became OC, he committed to Derrick Henry as the centerpoint of the offense. And it worked. In the days of spread offense with 5 WRs, the Titans are playing Hog type smashmouth football. It doesn't matter what the latest offensive fad is. Nobody wants to tackle a 250 lb freight train for 4 quarters.
I just don't think that this type of offense is what benefits the Texans skill set on hand. And smashmouth football falls apart when down a couple of TDs. That's how the Titans will lose (at some point) in the playoffs.
Yeah, amazing how Vrabel isn't that good with defenses. Lucky for usIf (when) the Titans lose in the playoffs , it won't be because their offense isn't good enough or smashmouth football falls apart when you are behind , it'll be because their defense is terrible.
The fact that they were able to win 11 games and the division with that defense says a lot about how good that offense really is.
And its not just Henry .... Tannehill led the league in game winning drives this season with 6.
They also put up more PPG than the Chiefs.
its apparently true the arent interested in the chiefs oc
They heavily referenced McClain. On 610 today McClain said he has nothing to base this opinion on. It's just what he feels.Scratch McDaniels

Report: Don't expect McDaniels to follow Caserio to Houston
Josh McDaniels might seem like an obvious head coaching candidate in Houston now that Nick Caserio is the Texans’ GM, but the Patriots OC reportedly isn’t in the mix to replace Bill O’Brien.www.nbcsports.com
You can remove Matt Eberflus from discussion, he’s declining to interview with us now..
dont the colts know his every move?Ouch.
I didn't want him.dont the colts know his every move?
i didnt mean to reply to you, sorry, know how you feel. I also wouldnt want a coach that our rivals know all aboutI didn't want him.
Just hate seeing folks decline to interview with Houston coupled with Houston declining to interview Bienemy and Saleh. Narrows our choices..
I didn't want him.

Yea I didn’t want him either, honestly don’t want a DC as a HC but that’s just my personal preference. We had a chance to start righting our wrongs this hiring process and as expected we’re botching it.

The plan as laid out by the Texans from the beginning was that they would 1st hire a GM and then the GM would hire the HC.
my speculation is that the 2 candidates folks are touting as the best, Bienemy and Saleh hadn’t been requested for interviews b/c they hadn’t gotten their GM in Caserio yet. They interviewed a few guys with outside chances to be the HC but the big candidates, they wanted to wait until they got their GM.
Now that Caserio has been hired and this HC list is about to “reset”, I fully expect Bienemy and/or Saleh or both to pop up on the HC interview list.
Who is a super religious coach that has touched the lives of those around them? That is our next coach.....they need to fit our "culture"What yall think about Todd Bowles or Dennis Allen for 2nd chance hires?
We can get Coach Tebow and change the Texans logo to a red lowercase "t".Who is a super religious coach that has touched the lives of those around them? That is our next coach.....they need to fit our "culture"
What yall think about Todd Bowles or Dennis Allen for 2nd chance hires?
My guess....Caserio will interview Brady again then Daboll will be the next. Daboll's more indepth interview will happen once the Bills are done playing. I'm still hoping for Brady since his offensive approach could be most appealing to Watson.
Jets played hard for BowlesWould be ok with Dennis Allen...Bowles, not so much.
