Thanks for your support!

Welcome to Houston Jack Easterby

That's just 2 random videos. The text is from an article about the situation as well as NFL.com and Sports Illustrated. Also, the Texans will not (did not) return the questionnaire to SI. This is a fact that I personally think is very odd

they aren’t obligated to explain anything to yahoo’s on the outside whose main purpose was to dig up dirt. A, b/c they likely weren’t going to use any of the stuff if it wasn’t going to contribute to the slant they’d already decided on and B, if they did use any of it, it would’ve been downplayed. It was truly a no win situation.

And this is me speaking on this from experience with this type of nonsense. The 70 something questions sent were just a poorly veiled attempt by them to try to get inside the organization and dig up dirt. They were never going to use any of the responses in good faith.

lol You try way too hard to be right. However, in your own mind, you are right.

"They count on guys like you." LMAO!!! I'm a nobody that spends nothing on this product. I'm a Texans heretic, if I'm anything at all. I want them to move out of town. It's a lost cause, IMO. You think they really "count on guys like me"? lol You are delusional.

The dissertations some of y'all write makes me wonder sometimes. . .thoughts I shall refrain from expanding.

He's the only team counselor with an agent that represents front office execs, mainly GMs and HCs.

Yeah, he's power hungry. It's the duck theory. Don't overthink it.

Provide ANYTHING beyond subjective opinions to support such a claim. Otherwise, it is utter horse poop to make such assertions.

And this conversation confirms - yet again - why politics was permanently removed from this forum.

I'm all for the Texans moving their azzes out of Houston and finding another city to fleece.

Agreed on Easteregg, he's a snake oil salesman

With that said I dont trust the media anymore than I do Easteregg and yes, the media are very much agenda based. See: Houston Astros/Jeff Luhnow.

you 1st.

Lol, talk about delusional. u and your infallible theories and principles. If the world worked off those things alone, you’d be considered the Plato of our generation lol.

& Your continued denigration of the guy by calling him things below what he actually is says it all really. the guy isn’t a “counselor” he’s carried a title of at least Director since before he even came to the Texans and ascended to a VP role..and if local sports media nobodies like Josh Innes can have agents, why can’t a guy working in a billion dollar organization not have one? Pretty sure most guys with titles of at least Director in his field have agents buddy.

Aside from that, yes they depend on guys like you to run with everything they put out there..to believe that their credibility is beyond questionable. And like a good little lap dog, you lap it up.

All I’m saying..all I’ve ever said is, until we see some definite evidence or at the very least those throwing bricks and hiding their hands reveal themselves and stand by what they’ve said and go on record, there’s no reason to take any of what they assert with any kind of credibility.

What SI did was akin to a lawyer basing his entire case on the word(s) of a lot jailhouse snitches. Sure, those words sometimes turn out to be true, but a good lawyer vets them and finds credible evidence to go with them.

Well they don't have much to dig... Easterby has people in the FO and players speaking out. They are just not saying who so they don't have backlash.

Easterby told a few players during practice that OB maybe fired. And asked if they were going to be ok with that and on his side... That has been backed up by many sources employed by the Texans. Pretty bad the guy who brings you in is the one who inserts the knife and turns it...

You've just described the RS/Kubiak relationship.

If you agree that he's not qualified to be GM, then why bother replying? Why is he worthy of you taking the time and energy to defend him?
I have no issue with you saying he is not worthy to be a GM. But that's not what you said. You attacked Easterby and his character. I asked you to give evidence to support what you said.

Oh and I think you and anyone else on this board is Worthy of my time and energy to defend.

Is this being publicly reported? If so, where?

BoB had been on the hot seat for at least a year and it only intensified after the Nuk trade and the subsequent 0-4 start. Every player in the locker room knew that dude was on his way out bro.

there wasn’t even a need to “insert a knife”. Further, the thing that reportedly leaked and really got BoB ousted immediately was the confrontation with captain America JJ Watt.

Aside from that, Easterby has a 6 year deal. Unless Cal wants to eat another contract, Easterby’s not going anywhere.

All over. I know some people discount the SI article and other things like it. But...if there is smoke there is fire. I googled around about Harbaugh and ran into some very interesting things. Ask yourself if you were saying anything bad about the owner, GM (for now) or other players. Would you want to be named?

it was mentioned as a one off in the article...not “numerous” players like he asserts.

Actually, if you browse around. You can find many things that people who work for the Texans have said. But not one wants to be named and who can blame them.

I'll say this. A friend of mine is friends with Cal. Cal is not Happy.

No one is happy on Kirby....b/c of the article. And it’s not just Cal and Easterby who are upset. Aaron Wilson mentioned this. He said the talk now is who talked? The strength and conditioning coach was thrown under the bus....so he’s pissed..etc...

Oh I know that Easterby is not going anywhere. He got Cal to get him locked up good. I have not seen the numbers of his deal. Yet can safely say it is probably why so many people are talking about Cal being gullable and also in love with Easterby.

Easterby is in charge of the strength and conditioning program. And a source said he knew about the "against the rules" practices we had during the lockdown. Heck, I don't know what Easterby is not in charge or part of. Seeing he is doing contacts, scouting, medical (I have read), player schedule, strength and conditioning, nutrition... It just keeps going on.

then u shouldn’t talk. If you’re not man (or woman) enough to stand behind your statements then keep your mouth shut. If **** is that bad, then resign...it’s just that simple. It comes off as disingenuous that you as a source for all this are talking **** publically in such a way that you’re trying to “improve” the situation by trying to get Cal to fire this guy...but at the same time acting in your own self interest and hiding your identity. You have to figure that if Cal truly wants to improve his organization then a number of these folks who talked could’ve gotten together and reached out to Cal themselves TOGETHER thru other means. Now we don’t know if this was done to no avail or not, but Airing out the dirty Landry? How does that improve it? It actually puts the organization in a worse situation.

Exactly and we don't see even 1 person leaving. We do know of 2 who knows a few things. Hopkins and Amy P. , can't remember her last name. I wonder if in the SI article if the "former player" was Hopkins.

likely not Hopkins b/c “the fear of retribution” thing doesnt apply to him and I can’t see why he wouldn’t put his name on any of the statements made in the article.

Wilson seems to think that a lot of agents contributed to the article.

Can he hike the ball cleanly on the goal line?

Hey how did I get into this? I resent that comment. signed Tom Landry

the fact that the 1st thing she does is run to Florio and the media is telling to me. For 1, who here really gives a rip about a VP of communications getting the axe? Care enough anyway to interview her on a nationally syndicated football show?

2nd, I haven’t heard her interview, but I’m pretty sure that she doesn’t mention Easterby by name in it. Yet, Florio a guy on the outside of the organization, IMMEDIATELY zeroes in on Easterby. Not, Cal the owner, not Jamey Rootes the guy who PUBLICALLY claimed responsibility for the firing....Cal BACKS him, he goes straight to Easterby.

it’s all just too convenient.

I think Easterby is a guy who floated around there, & infiltrated the “business as usual” culture that has been in place for years around there and unearthed some things that weren’t conducive to fostering the best culture for the organization. And he Narc’ed on a few people to Cal.
A lot of those folks had been in the org for a while and were pretty good at what they did and considered him bringing these things to Cal a betrayal. Not only in the “snitching ass b@&$” sense, but also “this is the way we’ve always done things” sense too. And now they’re pissed b/c their cushy job got yanked from under them.

Jaguars' “assistant director of football operations”

dude hired an agent...tells you his direction

The Pats came out and denied the “lifetime contract” thing. Did the jags come out and deny this? Until they do, At most, it’s an embellishment on his part.

Dysfunction is dysfunction. If I were one of the handful of players who could get a job elsewhere, yeah... I’d put my name on it.

if I were Mercilus, or someone like him I wouldn’t even leak anything & the dysfunction wouldn’t bother me, as long as it kept eyes off of me.

To a point maybe. But the guy has been shown to be a lier. Which is clear from the Texans redoing his bio. He didn't accidentally put the information on his resume. The Texans, Cal, had it redone to cover his (Easterby's) butt from the lie.
