Nope …. he'll shake it off and be back stronger than ever …. he's the ultimate competitor …. he's getting very close to Earl Campbell for me !
Hopefully

And, I’m consistent in my opinion that he’s delusional. Does my consistent opinion make it a fact? This loss is on Nick Martin.
What? No way. Might have being a deciding factor for JJ to move out after four more losses. This loss might have broken Watson
I thought I was over getting emotional about the Texans... but damn this one hurt
Hopefully but these Texans seem to say away from things that work & focus on things that don't. Akins looked like he was about to break out a few weeks ago. Now, we need to put his pictures on Milk cartons. Duke seemed like he was coming alive in the offense, someone seems to believe David can do the same thing. & Fells doesn't get targeted in the red zone anymore.Hopefully Hansen can be a WR that can start next yr. We will find out the rest of the season.
Why, they aren't making the playoffs anyways?
I'll never understand why they don't take things that were successful and run them on a consistent basis. Some teams seem to call the same plays, but disguise them with formations and motion. The Texans always seem to be reinventing the wheel.Hopefully but these Texans seem to say away from things that work & focus on things that don't. For most it does matter. For others, it's an opportunity to be a troll for seven days.W/L still matter
Hey no excuses, he said it himself. Hopefully he’s learned that Martin ain’t the guy.0 pts in the 2nd half and although Martin sucks and that snap was awful, DW4 has the towel over his face because he knew he could've caught that snap. Hopefully he learns from this.

Care to explain why they matter? I dont like to lose at anything, but the rest of the season should be about finding out if the young guys can play. Hansen for instance looked pretty good today. Adams, while not great looks like an upgrade over McKinney.
The way he landed on his head, had his hands together and was down, I was certain it was a concussion.Has anyone heard anything from Cooks on that "interception"? That was a HUGE play. Should have been 1st & 10, in FG range. But for some reason, Cooks lets the defender strip the ball away from him. I thought for sure he got concussed, but apparently not... he just got the ball took from him.
So the guy that recovered the fumble went into the backfield, untouched! WTF! Looked like this was going to be a run play for David to the left. If that snap was good, he was going to get blown up for a loss.
Looks like Martin totally whiffed on blocking the DT. So not only did he give a bad snap, he didn't block the guy that recovered the fumble.
He rushed the snap and over-ran the block
I’m NOT defending Martin in any way, but Wade Smith has said repeatedly on 610 that our blocking schemes ask the OC to do thing that would be difficult for a HOF level player. We all know Martin isn’t anywhere close to being that good, in fact I’m not sure he’s serviceable at this point.
True, but it doesn’t help when you don’t have the talent, which Martin has never been.Another problem is that he expected the DT to rush straight upfield, but the DT knew we were running left so he cut around Martin. More a problem with play design than with Martin
This is great! Might be my signature from now on.you have got to feel bad for the guy. I mean he is getting paid, but if it were raining boobs he would get hit in the head with a pecker.
Coutee had a dam good game. Another "what a dumass Bill O'Brien is" move.
How good could this kid be if he wasn't riding the bench for no good reason?
No one wants to say it here, but bottom line, the ball was in both of Watson's hands............he should have first just secured the ball before ever turning.........whatever the play was.
I thought that to but its really hard to see from this angle. I've watched it several times and it looks like the ball almost hit Watson in the hip and he never really had both hands on it. Then Johnson is cutting over very close so that could have also played a factor in that you are juggling the ball and suddenly you have another warm body inches from you. Finally the unblocked rusher is on top of the ball and Watson within 1-2 seconds. Bottom line is even if Watson had stopped to secure the snap before moving the fact it wasn't where his muscle memory expected it to be, therefore requiring him to actually think about it, the defender would have gotten a sack instead of a fumble recovery. That might have given the Texans another play or two to try and get it in the end zone but that play there was lost the moment the snap was bad.

The play was lost when the ball was snapped low and to the left, then Martin left his man unblocked and then the ball not being secured. There is much more going on than simply just dropping the snap. That play was lost only the moment the ball was not secured. The All-22 should settle the controversy.

It was 2nd down......the only smart play was to secure the ball and take the hit.The play was lost when the ball was snapped low and to the left, then Martin left his man unblocked and then the ball not being secured. There is much more going on than simply just dropping the snap.
I'll say it. Watson should have caught the ball.No one wants to say it here, but bottom line, the ball was in both of Watson's hands............he should have first just secured the ball before ever turning.........whatever the play was.

Still a bad snap.

Imagine if Keke was wide open in the end zone, closest defender is 10 yards away. Watson throws a fastball 5 feet above his head. Keke leaps, gets both hands on the ball, but can't secure it. On Monday, are we saying, "Keke should have caught the ball."?
That's exactly what I'm saying.
This game is made by the people who make plays. The ones who don't are quickly forgotten (Not For Long). Can't expect the perfect ball every time. Every now & then, you've got to make those though catches. Now someone mentioned there were several bad snaps that we're not talking about & this is the one Watson didn't catch. That may alleviate some of the blame I place on Watson, but if it hits you in both hands... you should have caught it whether your name is Kekee or DeShaun.
I'm placing some blame on DW, but I'm not going as far as saying he "should have caught the ball". A good snap, you expect DW to catch it 100% of the time. A bad snap, like the one yesterday, that percentage goes down... maybe 60ish?

Wide open, low enough he gets both hands on the ball then yes I say he should have caught it. Particularly if the game is in the line and that catch is the deciding score.
You dont have to say it. DW4 already said it. But I guess there's a few excuse makers on this MB that cant hear DW4's own words.

The ridiculousness of this board sometimes lol, am I right?Watson doesn’t have enough to overcome. Let’s add bad snaps to it as well. Damn him!!
