2020 Schedule

Call me crazy.

I think we win both games #1 and #2.

It's plausible.

Chiefs could get wrapped up in the whole opening ring ceremony. Also, this will be a different Texans team on both offense & defense, that teams don't have on tape. So we could catch them by surprise.

I think Ravens will regress a bit. Not by alot, but they won't be running over teams like they did last season. Not to mention, we'll have 3 more days to prep for the game.

Personally, I'll be extremely happy with a split.

Love the passion! But Yikes my guy! Andy Reid has been sitting around eating chicken fried steaks and drinking craft beers drawing up plays on napkins that have not made it on film yet. We are going into the season with an OC who has never called plays before and who had never been more than a positional coach until his buddy OBrien gave him a job with numerous different skill position players who have not played with Watson yet. Add to that the defense will also be going through some growing pains and finding an identity under Weaver. I dont know man, I havent smoked weed in a long time, but booze and beer might not be enough to ease the pain for the first half of the year!

Public Service Announcement.....
If you live in the RGV or San Antonio area, you should make plans to watch the Texans somewhere other than your home on October 4 and October 25. The Cowboys are also playing on FOX those days and you can put it in the bank the Cowboys will get the air time before your Texans.

Cowboys / Browns - Texans / Vikings on the 4th
Cowboys / Redskins - Texans / Packers on the 25th
Thanks for the heads up. I just emailed our local broadcasting stations here San Antone to see what they know. Hopefully they may get a change. All the years it' mostly been CBS or NBC that aired the Texans. Cowboys get Fox most of the time but not always too.

It was this time a year ago that many were saying 2019 was going to be a rough schedule. We went 5-3 losing game one Saints 28-30 so we can get points early. This offense needs to rock n roll and defense step up just a little over 2019 and I believe both are possible. We need five of six versus our division.

For a minute I thought Warren Sapp said he built these. I had to wipe the whiskey from my eyes & read the poster's name again.

I had to do the same thing! I expect we will be getting out clocks cleaned in the first half of the season. If we can go 50/50 I think that would be a big positive, but I doubt that happens.

For what its worth , I looked up the projected win totals and the Vegas betting lines.

None of those had the Texans over under above 7.5.

Every one of them also had both Indy and Tennessee above the Texans …. None under 8.5.

Vegas aint in the business of giving money away.

I think Vegas said the same last season about the Texans, Titans, & Colts.

I see 7-9, at best 8-8 as they can beat the Jags, but they usually come off the bye week not ready to play. I can also see a loss to Cinncy if their new QB is decent . . . .

Texican style. 12-4 baby.

Now some people are going to say I'm crazy. But I think we're closer to KC & Baltimore than most. I can easily see the Texans start strong & win the first three, then lose sight of reality dropping the next three, then be all business the rest of the way.

Man we better not going in there and beat both KC and Baltimore and then turn around and lose to Jacksonville. Lol
Who cares? Beating the two toughest teams on our schedule, winning 12 games. If they're strong in the playoffs I couldn't care less if they lose to the Jags in September.

11 / 5

My overly optimistic prediction without knowing how the new guys fit in.

We are gonna get massacred in our season opener in KC but on the other hand I'm somewhat hopeful about the following weeks game in our home opener vs Baltimore, and here's why: we will have two extra days to heal-up and prepare for the Baltimore game, and following the game Baltimore will be being entertaining the Chiefs at home which is a game they probably have been pointing towards the whole offseason.

5-11 …. sending Miami a top 8 pick.

What a disaster.

In typical Texans/BOB fashion...

at Kansas City Chiefs L
The Texans come out rusty to start the season and the Chiefs steamroll. Chiefs win 37-13 and fans are already calling for a total demolish of the team.

Baltimore Ravens W
In usual BOB fashion, he comes up with a big win when his back is against the wall. Optimism is high and people are talking this team has finally turned the corner to be a serious contender.

at Pittsburgh Steelers L
Texans 4pt favorites, but as usual, they come out flat after a big win. The Fire BOB crew will be as loud as ever for the week.

Minnesota Vikings L
Close game, but Vikings steal this one. Rumors of BOB being fired start to be reported nationally. BOB takes back playcalling from Kelly. David Johnson loses starting job, enraging the fan base even more!

Jacksonville Jaguars W
The Jags suck, Texans win. Blacklock starts first game of the season and has 2 sacks. Fans still want BOB fired.

at Tennessee Titans W
Titans start the season off poorly and have buyer's remorse with Tannehill. Watson with a huge game and we start to see the new receivers clicking. The fire BOB talk starting to simmer down.

Green Bay Packers W
Texans upset Packers and now have a winning record. Nationally, there are talks of Watson as an MVP candidate. Optimism for the team starting to pick up.

at Jacksonville Jaguars W
Texans are 10pt favorites, but this game will be close. Jags will have a chance to win on the last drive of the game, but Minshew throws a pick in the endzone. Texans dodge a bullet.

at Cleveland Browns L
Texans go to Cleveland as 7pt favorites, but somehow find a way to lose this game. Watson has a stinker, Garrett destroys Tunsil, secondary gets shredded, Texans Talk will be on fire.

New England Patriots W
Pats just aren't the Pats anymore. Texans win a low-scoring game in ugly fashion.

at Detroit Lions W
Lions suck and Watson & Watt shine on national TV.

Indianapolis Colts L
Texans are leading the division. People are saying Texans could basically clinch if they win this game. Rivers has his best game of the season and the Colts catch fire the rest of the season.

at Chicago Bears W
Bears have a terrible season, trying to find some type of identity on offense. Texans win barely 13-9.

at Indianapolis Colts L
Looked at as the game for the division. Defense disappears while offense comes out slow.

Cincinnati Bengals W
Burrow looks good, but Watson out-duels him. This game is dubbed as a must-win game for Texans to make playoffs.

Tennessee Titans W
Texans need to win this game to make playoffs, while Titans season is basically done. Both Tannehill & Henry don't play.

Texans finish 10-6, the same as the Colts, but Colts win the tiebreakers to take the division. Texans make the playoffs as a wild card team.

I will tell you what, this is the 2nd time in a row my Bengals have been scheduled to come to Houston close to Christmas.
I just want to choke the schedulers because with two kids and big families, that time is pretty busy.

I'm looking forward to watching Joe Burrow this season and was really pumped about seeing this game against my #2 team.
My oldest (now 13) is not pleased either. In typical teenage manner, when I told him it would be a problem because of family, he said, "SO ??"...

Maybe Santa will bring a Christmas miracle and get us to Houston !!!

So we’re not going to keep it all the way 100 and bring up what the trade Watson crew/ Watson is not good crew will be saying throughout these games?

Wow. This is quite optimistic. You have a lot more faith in Watson than the majority of us. Based on your 13-3 prediction, how far are you predicting we make it in the playoffs?

with all the talk of high scoring, and 50 point guarantees I found this piece of 'entertainment' interesting. Im not a big gamer or understand how they develop these simulations I just liked the outcome! Maybe you guys who are big gamers can chime in on just how realistic this played out, but its just for fun anyway.

It could be a fair assessment based on no camps or Pre-Season games. Both offenses could be out of sync. Teams could be out of sync for the first 2-3 weeks before they begin to get on the same page.

Like it, but there's probably a better chance of Uncle Rico and steelbtexan becoming besties.

pretty much with Watson we got a chance to win every game and lose some games ...so yeah

or if anything last year after week one it was the same pattern win 2 lose 1 win 2 lose 1

with watson every year he goes 2-2 aganist NFC hopefully we can gain one this year and go 3-1

watson has never lost 2 jacksonville 5-0 and and has so far split with indy and tenn every year 1-1

who knows, playoffs is different because OB sucks. DW4 won 11 games and 10 games. on top of it our schedule isn't as hard as those years. other than kc, bal, and gb. all those teams are not that hard to beat and this is also DW4's contract year. I am sure he wants to step above last 2 season mvps.

plus most of people here said texans won't make the playoffs last 2 years so I don't really care about most of people's opinions here.

For the record - I had them going 12-4 last year …. good chance they would have done that if they didn't rest everyone in the final game.

This year , I'm not nearly as optimistic. I think they took a step back on both sides of the ball while Tennessee and Indy both got better.
The biggest mistake was letting Reader walk. You need that guy in a division where everybody wants to run the rock down your throat.
The secondary is weaker than my little sister …. and she's a scrawny little thing
Nobody on the roster knows how to cover a TE.

I think teams will be in second and 4 or less / 3rd and short an awful lot against this defense this year …. going to be hard to manufacture much pass rush under those circumstances.

The offense should be reasonably comparable to last years despite the loss of DHop - Fuller has to stay healthy.
Watson's gonna make some big plays and win a few games on sheer talent alone …. But that's simply not enough , I see them no better than 3rd in the division behind both the Titans and Colts.

Vegas echo's my thoughts with every site I visited having the Texans behind both and none of them had the Texans over under higher than 7.5 …. the Colts and Titans were equal on every one of those at 8.5.

I think it's fairly safe to take the under on the Texans this year …. 6-10.

Huh? I've never once said to trade Watson or that Watson is not good enough so don't know why you brought me into this.
