Before the season started I was clear what had to happen for BO'b to keep his job. As many different ways as I said it, getting past the divisional round was a minimum.

We didn't get past the divisional round. In fact, we invented new historical categories with the way we lost.

I'd fly BO'b to NE on my personal jet & put his family on a bus to meet him.

What do you think?

I was going to start a similar thread despite usually waiting a while after a loss. TK the only thing about your title is cleaning house does not mean just getting rid of O'Brien. So... I am not sure if you and I are on the same page. I do expect turn over and the roster with us losing some free agents and possibly bringing in one or two starting Veterans. Watt will be healthier but also older in 2020. Tytus Howard will be back but is he as good as he showed in the few games he played this year? What do we do for a Right Guard? If we could pay Fuller game by game as he played I would be okay with having him back but that's not going to happen.

BOB should have been fired 4 years ago.

I can’t believe anyone anyone continues to support him.

It’s why I’m not that upset right now because my emotions haven’t been in it for a while. It’s just funny to me at this point. OB will be back next year, the same arguments will be had on the MB during the ebbs and flows of the season, they’ll maybe make the playoffs.

And then they’ll get beat in some form or fashion again without being any real threat to win it all.

Hooray off season.

I Want to vote yes, but TBH the time to fire him didnt just arrive.

We should already know what we have with another HC/GM/OC/DC by now.... but no time like the present.

BO'b is GM & HC right now. Cleaning house to me means getting rid of both.

The main thing this game taught us was the Texans need a 2nd shut down corner next to Roby. Gipson was injured, if he plays? Who knows, maybe we advance but the hc should be fired immediately. This is starting to become a Marvin lewis situation. The Texans need to draft cornerback, line and rb. As long as O’Brien remains the coach, I doubt we’ll get any solid free agents after this performance

Cal McNair better be pissed off, and hopefully there’s a crowd outside of NRG Stadium holding up “Fire Butt Chin” signs!

Someone convince me that we're not in for the same thing next year. Several are insisting that we pay Watson this offseason explain how that makes us any better as a team. I definitely want O'Brien gone but that doesn't necessarily make us a Super Bowl contender. We saw what #4 could do in the first quarter but what happened to him after that? I was shocked overall at how the o-line blocked even Clark did better than I expected. I remember saying I hate to see him hurt but glad he's out of there Only to see him come back a few a few plays later. I hope he and Fulton are gone next year but who do we replace Fulton with? I love watching Watson's magic but to be honest he wouldn't have to be magical As much if he didn't get himself into those plays. Is he worth 35 to 38 million dollars In 2020? If he were to add that on in 2022 with a significant signing bonus that can be averaged out I probably wouldn't scream no. I am not disgusted rather apathetic.

If it was a regular job, Obrine would have been fired years ago. A trained chimpanzee would not have given up a 24 point lead in 3 seconds. That guy has to go now. If he worked at McDonalds like he has been coaching, he would have been gone long ago.

Would love it to happen but I just don't expect it. O'Brien will be back unless Cal shocks the world and proves to be different than his father was in this regard. But I'm pretty tired of seeing O'Brien make such poor decisions in the crunch and continually go away from moving the pocket with Watson and keeping him on the edge and a threat to any defense. Even the Chiefs seem to move the pocket more than we do.

I do expect RAC to be gone. I just can't fathom any reason for them to bring him back at all. The defense has been putrid this season and they couldn't even must a single stop against the Chiefs after the first score. I was sitting there thinking "Can you at least pinch the b****!"

Well the guys I want Brandon Scherff from Washington and Brian Poole from Dallas could go for the money and we do have a better record history than either one of those teams.

No one complained when it was was time to pay JJ. Watson’s the Mvp of this team. We cant afford to lose him.

I want Josh McDaniels. I know that won't be popular, but he'll win with Watson. He's the one designing plays to get Rex Burkhead open
I read that bilichek kept McGowan from interviewing for I believe the Giants but pushed Judge for the job That he recently got. I could see McGowen getting a promotion to keep him with Patriots.

The way I feel about O'Brien can best be expressed by quoting the man himself. This is from his famous halftime meltdown during the Broncos game.

"Go the f– home, motherf—er!"

Have you been to a McDonald's? We're basically the McDonald's of the NFL. OB is safe here.

Seriously you're not comparing Watson to JJ Watt when JJ got his new deal?
We have a Mvp candiate like prime JJ.. Are you drunk? lol as great of a winner watson is, if he takes a pay cut that will be amazing but he’s young & like everyone in the world, wants to make the most money he can. Its not Deshauns fault this ownership ruined a easy Super Bowl window with a unproven coach. Of all matters, we need to focus on fixing the coaching staff 1st

Depending on the type jet @DBCooper and I would probably be happy fly the jet to drop him off in NE.

The Texans should change their name to the Houston Tootsie Pops.

Fans: "Mr Cal, how many embarrassing playoff losses does it take to get rid of the chin?"

Mr Cal: "Lets find out... "

He should be gone and already should have been, based on whatever objective metrics are on hand. At this particular time, I think fan opposition will be too much to ignore and a lack of termination will be met with some outrage.

Over six(!) years, there's always been an excuse--no RB replacement for Foster (no longer an issue), no franchise QB (no longer an issue), no WRs to complement Hopkins (no longer an issue), injuries to the offensive line (no longer an issue), and on. Like with every team, there will be issues each year, but O'Brien can't deal with them adequately. Add that to how he recklessly plays with fire in his play calling, especially on 4th down and trick plays. He's still in over his head as a pro head coach and should not have been allowed the GM reins, however much he dreams that he's Belichick. The players love O'Brien, but top talent is always set aside in the "doghouse," suggesting the same angry rigidity seen in his play calls and in the recent TMZ video, where he screamed at someone who paid the team to enter the stadium, when O'Brien is paid millions by the team to enter it.

Everyone nicknames the Texans "Patriots South," but as O'Brien's mediocrity inches closer to 10 years, the Texans are becoming more like "Dallas South" with their mediocrity matching Jason Garrett's. Unlike Jerry Jackass*, the McNairs haven't yet meddled much, but corporate malaise and inactivity doesn't win in football either. I think that dull franchise identity is reflected in the choice to make their team colors a safe red, white and blue to match any of thousands of banks across the nation.

But maybe Cal will finally remove the dullness that is Bill O'Brien.

*I've always thought of them as Jerry's "Arkansas Cowboys."

If there is a minimum of 1/2 an active testicle in the upper management of this team O'Brien and Crennel will be gone tomorrow, if not tonight. It's hard to imagine how any self-respecting human being could be a "proud owner" of the Houston Texans tonight. The Oilers were a better organization, even with Bud the Mug. There is no reason in the world that this team, coached as it is, should be on the same field as KC. It is without a doubt the worse-coached team in the NFL. Just imagine what a half-good OC and DC could do with the talent we have and the talent we could have. I am ashamed to be a fan of this team tonight.

We already have the preacher. We are going to get Caserio. We might as well have a true NE disciple that spent more than an office lunch with the organization.

That would be a shrewd move by Cal to fire OB and then bring in McDaniels.

One can dream.
