I can't believe what happened with Clowney. That is just so ******* stupid it's like an April's fool joke or something.
 
He is trying to get fired so he can get his money and leave. There is no way to defend this trade. Bill O'brien does not want to be here.

If we don't get off to a good start this year, I think there's a good chance that BOB gets fired in season. He'll get booed on the first 3 and out and I'll be surprised if he keeps the locker room for long if things aren't going well. McNair might not be thinking this way now, but I think the fan base is going to force his hand. BOB really cornered himself with the Clowney deal and is going to need a fast start.
 
A shame we are now wasting the careers of JJ, Watkins, Hopkins and that water girl Karen, among others, with more ill conceived trades and lack of drafts. Going to be long season..

At this point, the only possible way for BOB and Cal to save even a little face is to pull off a trade for Tunsil or another good LT. Very doubtful at this point, and if they do pull it off, it may take a King's ransom to do it.

This trade was a joke. A sick joke on the fans of this garbage franchise that Cal seems hellbent on running into the ground. HC sucks, but if we're really being honest with ourselves, this is an ownership issue. And Cal ain't going nowhere.

With what Seattle did, no one will be looking to trade "fair", the Texans have shown that its a fire sale and everything must go.

This move by OB tops it all!! He has proved over and over that he is WAY OVER HIS HEAD! He is NOT an OC, he is not a HC and he is surely NOT a GM! This brainless move takes the cake! He has dug a hole for himself as there is nobody left to blame for his ineptness...as he sucked up the the McNairs and got all others fired! Your next Bill....I doubt it will take very long!

I still believe OB is here for seasons to come.... unfortunately.

No first rounders the next two years and also down one second rounder. Also gave up a third for a RB who wasn't going to start until the starter blew out his knee in a meaningless preseason game. Wouldn't trade up for Dillard so instead blows all his draft capital on an older player. Cool.
 
Today was a trainwreck in getting value for trades. The only plus I see out of all of this is that I don't see any more excuses for BOB to have a top shelf offense this year. This year should settle any questions for those of us who hold out hope that BOB's offense can work with the right personnel. #nomoreexcuses
 
Source told me that O’Brien has two more trades in the works.

Colts/Texans: Watson, Watt, 2022 1st and 3rd for Andrew Lucks rights.

Giants/Texans: Hopkins and 2022 2nd, 4th, 2023 1st for Eli Manning (We need a back up with Webb down and AJ healing)
 
All these trades just solidify how bad OB in all phases of his titles.

He can’t scout players.
He can’t develop players.
Player relationships are poor to the point the point they don’t choose to resign here for better terms.
Game time management is bad.
Doesn’t know what his job is.
Willing to trade the future for players at positions he had a chance to draft and develop but failed.
Went through multiple QBs and got bailed out by a lucky draft and trade. Probably still be on a turnstile QB search.
Two QBs that were on the team and let go are starting elsewhere.
His trades for players during the draft are disastrous.
His trades for players as GM are at the nuclear level of disastrous.

This guy makes you think what it would be like with Hue Jackson.

You are right, Hoyer has experience with throwing interceptions and getting shut out in big games. Might as well give Osweiler a shot as well...

I get the feeling Cal may have said to BoB that this year was AFCCG or bust. So BoB just said, '**** it, I'm going long', and if it doesn't work then it's someone else's problem...for the next three years. :shrug:
