Not sure how you're defining elite. But, Ferrell is not twitchy and profiles more as a base DE than edge. Not a bust, but not the type of player that goes #4 ahead of guys like Allen and Oliver.
 
I want someone to take Sweat ahead of the Texans. An outstanding talent, but the health concerns are horrifying. And yeah, I could see the Texans taking him.
 
I'm hoping Wash takes Haskins and I'm glad as I think Giants would take him at 17; I'm still hoping for a trade for Clowney at 17 as they got their QB at 6.
 
Smith: Jevon Kearse "dominated the league." He had 3 great years, then couple productive ones.
 
Ok Giants need a DL and Gary and Burns and Ferrell off board & I'm hoping Sweats issue pushes him past Giants come on trade!!! I guess Simmons and Lawrence are possibilities and maybe a reach for Zach Allen or Jaylon Ferguson.

He's not as twitchy and sudden as those two but he still gets home. He's got the most hardware on that vaunted Clemson DL. He played his best in big games. He gets to the QB, he's a three down player, can set the edge. He's an elite football player.

His speed scores and profile are basically identical to Clowney, who nobody called a reach.

I didn't know Ferrell ran at all. And the "vaunted Clemson DL" is another thing that bothers me. These guys never saw double teams because of the talent surrounding them. Sure, they are going to produce. But look at what Josh Allen did without top talent around him.
