Dude was pretty good year 1. After that, not so much.Just another Rick Smith bust. Drafting Johnson over Marcus Peters, Byron Jones, and Landon Collins was asinine.

Injuries can hit anyone. That doesn't make a pick a bust IMO.Dude was pretty good year 1. After that, not so much.
As does Travis Johnson"David Carr says hi.
Biggest Rick Smith bust is Clowney. One of the most fruitful drafts ever and he blew the top pick in rd 1 and 2.Just another Rick Smith bust. Drafting Johnson over Marcus Peters, Byron Jones, and Landon Collins was asinine.
Not producing for any reason makes you a bust.Injuries can hit anyone. That doesn't make a pick a bust IMO.
Watch the words, doesn't make the pick a bust. No GM can be responsible for injuries with no history. Not producing for any reason makes you a bust.
It's oKoyeI think that's who he was referring to as the Nigerian Nightmare
Wel according to this MB the former GM was not responsible for much of anything to do with the current Texans plight.Watch the words, doesn't make the pick a bust. No GM can be responsible for injuries with no history.
I think we can throw that out, actually.Biggest Rick Smith bust is Clowney. One of the most fruitful drafts ever and he blew the top pick in rd 1 and 2.
Throw In he never drafted a qb. I'm gonna stop. I'm pissing myself off
6'0"You pick a skinny 6'1 190 lb CB and he stays injured all of the time? What are the odds of that happening?
But no injury history in college. The guy couldn't even run down the field without giving himself a concussion.
hyperbole much often? The guy couldn't even run down the field without giving himself a concussion.
I truly hope he's getting out before permanent damage has set in.Hmm, I don't like the way this is shaping up.
Yeah, but I don't know that damage to the brain ever goes away... I would knowI truly hope he's getting out before permanent damage has set in.
Why, that's exactly what happened. In all my years of watching sports, that has to be the weirdest damn concussion I have ever seen.hyperbole much often?
well the illegal hit by Cordarelle Patterson is the one that put him on IR actually, but I agree with your point. Why, that's exactly what happened. In all my years of watching sports, that has to be the weirdest damn concussion I have ever seen.
That one play was a microcosm of his entire Texans career here.. Gets beat deep, left reaching attempting to make a play, then BAM!..concussion/injured, out for the season.
I think Amobi was the Nigerian nightmare he referenced in his postAmobi Okoye as well
I agree injuries derailed his career, but he did only play in 6 games in his 2nd season. To small of a sample size to compare PFF grades to guys who have never played fewer than 12 games in a season.FWIW...
Kevin Johnson's highest PFF score was his 2nd season, where he got an 81.2.
For comparison, Marcus Peters highest PFF score in his career was 81.3. Byron Jones never broke 80. In Jonathan Joseph's long career, he only beat that score once.
To me, KJo was heading towards a very bright career. Injuries/concussions then really affected his confidence, and I don't think he'll ever be the player he could have been.
Yup. Fair argument. Simply stating some interesting data points that shows he had potential. Not at all trying to say he was just as good, or even better, than those other guys.I agree injuries derailed his career, but he did only play in 6 games in his 2nd season. To small of a sample size to compare PFF grades to guys who have never played fewer than 12 games in a season.
Most teams are willing to bet on a low cost talented guy with past injury issues. Do you think KJo is having issues passing physicals or are teams not liking what they're seeing in workouts?KJo continues to be busy with visits..........Jets........then Panthers.
This is what I was thinking, KJo was most likely a bust before injury. I was never really impressed with him. I thought he was a league avg CB at best in his best yr and I know the numbers nerds will show up proving me wrong.I wouldn't care how good his physicals turn out................I'd only care about his injury HISTORY............and his poor performance/production since his rookie year. I'm not sure that he will end up on a final 53, even if he is signed by someone.
I guess it's not too early to laugh at some signings.
Yeah good dude. Hopefully his health/concussion issues are behind him.Best of luck to the dude..
I hope he falls flat on his face.Glad he's still getting to play and make money, even more glad he's not playing here or making money off of us.
