So.......
How many people had this penciled as a W?
The miracle (and hope) from this game is that the Texans were out played (all three aspects), out-coach coached and were playing for a chance to tie/win.Win or lose, the Texans have not quit in this game.
I think BO'b will call better games and DW4 will get much better as the season goes on.
Yep. Anyone who praised the "not playing the starters in preseason" strategy better not complain about this game.Spent the whole game working out kinks that are supposed to be worked out in preseason...offense and defense

He'll be fine as will Clowney and Watt. A few games to knock the rust off and they will be pressuring a lot of Qb's.Mercilus is the invisible man
I feel the exact same way. Definitely looks like a sophomore slump is possible. Watson didn't look confident at all today. I hope he shakes off this loss and comes back better than ever next week.I can live with a loss in NE. But this game has got me worried. I really Hope DW4 doesn‘t have a real sophomore slump or worse, is hurt. Defense locked great, Running game looked good, ST looked good. But this team is only as good as DW4. I Hope we get Fuller back next game, we really missed him today.

I can't like this enough. I hope he is ok.Adam Wexler@KPRC2AdamW
#Texans Deshaun Watson was down on the field being looked at by medical personnel after the final play. May have been looking at right knee, but he got up on his own and walked to locker room. @KPRC2

So, just to be clear, you're saying that you have some 'concerns' regarding Bill O'Brien's ability to make Watson, and this team, any better...?No. No he won't. We've been waiting to see OB call better games for years now. That SOB has been learning on the job for four ******* years now. You know what four years is? It's more than an average NFL career. There are guys whose entire window came and went while Bill ******* O'Brien was trying to figure out how to manage a goddamn clock.
That he's still on the job half an hour after this game ended is an indictment of how worthless Bob McNair is. Frankly that he went into this season as our HC is a bigger problem but this guy never learns from anything. He's doing the same **** he did when he was rookie HC out of Penn State. This isn't a problem that's going away. It's a problem that just "is". Watson won't develop playing for this guy. He'll do what every single player that's come here since day one of the OB regime has done. He'll slowly quit being what made him special and decline into a bust due to inept or non-existent coaching.
Bill O'Brien is a coaching cancer and he needs to go.

Is Watson hurt? Why was he stretching after the hail mary?
A timeout there and overturned catch call would have possibly negated that Touchdown drive. In a game we lost 27-20 and had the ball in our hands in the final seconds looking for a miracle Hail Mary attempt. That's huge Bill O'Brien. The nerve of him. I doubt he's that dumb. We took all three timeouts with us into halftime also. It wouldn't have hurt to call a timeout and have that review.Bill O’Brien on not calling a TO to make it more likely the rags would review the Gronk catch: "It’s not my job to call a timeout there to make (the officials’) job easier." pic.twitter.com/ShfMzbYINy

"I wouldn’t go back and do anything different in the preseason." Bill O’Brien on the offensive issued today. #Texans

I'm worried too. He wasn't able to get nearly enough on that final throw. It came down 10 yards short of the end zone.
- I've only watch parts of the game. However it is obvious to me that he is still making compensations for his recent ACL. You know it doesn't surprise me but he has been showing awkward foot work. He has been throwing off the wrong foot or imbalanced. You don't normally do stretching exercises immediately after a game like the one that he demonstrated. This makes me highly suspicious that he has injured his calf trying to push off hard from his back foot in order to propel the ball as far as he could on the last play. A hamstring also could be stretched out with that type of maneuver, and could have occurred due to some instability of the knee while he was trying to run away from contact. we should find out sometime soon.
As much as I agree with you I still saw something special for a time with BOB calling the offense and DW4 as a our starting Qb. I'd like to believe we will see that again. I doubt it but I will hold out hope a little longer. It is not like we lost to a bad team. Yes Bill O'Brien sucks and it is not likely anything changes. Still I hold out hope. I have to. It is not in me to quit after losing to the Pats in NE when most top tier teams lose there more often than not.No. No he won't. We've been waiting to see OB call better games for years now. No coach that’s not your job but it is your job to put your team in position to win. You failed at that.

One #Texans stat that's astonishing. It took them six plays and 2:24 to drive 16 yards for a TD when there should've been a sense of urgency.

I fear he is going to be out for some time. I hope it is nothing serious. We got to see some brief glimpses of last seasons DW4. I know he has it in him still.
