How could you have forgotten probably the most "notorious" Texans 3rd round cut.............Brennan "The Blunt" Williams!![]()

Strong
Of course Fido could never stay healthy despite flashes. I was just thinking of offensive drafted weapons that didn’t exactly..... pan out as planed, lol

How much time do we have once someone is cut off another team to claim? I realize we go in order and are fourth in line.
Have we picked anyone up?
Also interesting that Mack of Raiders traded. Curious to see what they get. They at least are getting something back while we only got a compensatory pick when we did not resign 1.1 Mario. Not saying we should have resigned Mario but he was not coveted so had no value to the Texans.
At this point I see Clowney turning out much like Williams for the Texans. Too high to resign with too many questions but no value above what we would have to pay him. Just hope he stays healthy.
Why can't we find morons to trade with. Oh.... with Rick we were the morons....They've already got 2 first round picks for Mack.. possibly more. Details still coming out.
The Chicago Bears are ran by complete morons.

Sept. 2 Claiming period for players placed on waivers at the final roster reduction will expire at 12:00 noon, New York time.
Upon receipt of the Personnel Notice at approximately 1:00 p.m., New York time, clubs may establish a Practice Squad of 10 players (clubs participating in the International Player Development Program may sign one additional international player to a Practice Player Contract.) No club, including the player’s prior club, will be permitted to sign a player to a Practice Player Contract until all clubs have received simultaneous notification via the above Personnel Notice that such player’s prior NFL player contract has been terminated via the waiver system.
The sad part is that Clowney's questions are health related and William's questions were all about effort and desire. As loaded as the Texans are at LB, I'd definitely entertain trade prospects for Clowney. If I could get a 2nd rounder, I'd take it. No point in moving him for an at best 3rd rd comp. pick. How much time do we have once someone is cut off another team to claim? I realize we go in order and are fourth in line.

Especially when you consider what they gave up to get Trubisky. Having a franchise QB on a rookie contract seems to open up butt loads of money and future draft picks. They've already got 2 first round picks for Mack.. possibly more. Details still coming out.

Williams had dealt with significant knee issues in college........was cleared by the medical staff and drafted in 2013 anyway..........during rookie minicamp was determined to require microfracture surgery...........never made it back on the field, missing all OTAs in 2013..........and was cut just prior t.o 2014 TCHow could you have forgotten probably the most "notorious" Texans 3rd round cut.............Brennan "The Blunt" Williams!![]()
Ok, we will not know who we picked up until noon on Sunday as I understand it. September 2 at noon we will know what the other teams gave us.
So sad to be needing to go through other discards but it is what it is. I still hope some minor trades made before 4pm today. I do feel we have depth at DL that other teams may trade a OL,RB, or TE for that they were going to waive anyway.
We finally have our full team healthy and you guys want to trade Clowney lol. No thanks. Tag him twice and control him for the next three years while our window of winning is open.
You must mean Bennie Joppru...
A guy I think they like and hid ( unless he got cut ) is OLB Davin Bellamy . He's quick off the corner and has size .
I was responding to offensive "weapons" busts. The Hill dude set the market in the 1st draft for Texans 3rd rd busts. Didn't even make it out of training camp.
Dishonorable mention = Montgomery.
Didnt know the question was about Gaine, but he was director of player personnel for the Texans from 2014-16.
Texans going with Davenport, Seantrel, Rankin and Lamm as their only OTs...
The Texans may just go in with 2 QBs, thinking/hoping that Webb can always be plucked from hunting stand if they need him.Notable moves today:
Joe Webb, Kyle Fuller and Ufomba Kamalu cut.
Expected D’onta Foreman to PUP.
Surprised Jermaine Kelly made team ahead of Chachere and wasn’t placed on IR. He’s missed all preseason I believe.
Christian Hackenberg was released by the Eagles. Just saying. If Webb is gone, who's our 3rd QB?
I doubt the roster is set. Hardly ever is at this point.
They’ll probably pick some guys up off the waiver wire.
Looks like O'Brien is rolling with two QBs. I'm thinking if the worse happens, Webb will be back.If Webb is gone, who's our 3rd QB? I liked Webb over Weedon. I'm not sure it matters, after Watson we'll only have sh!t for a QB anyway.
stop....Christian Hackenberg was released by the Eagles. Just saying.

Edit:
looks like CnnnD had this thought before me.
...that's what I get for not finishing the whole thread![]()
yeah, for a price.RG3 will probably be available too
yeah, for a price.
I see he survived the cuts
Listening to a couple of his recent interviews, it is evident that he has matured a great deal since his Washington days.I saw that earlier when looking up someone else. If he's humbled himself, dude did actually have a considerable amount of talent. I've got no expectations, but am a little curious.
RG3 would be an excellent pickup for a QB3 or possibly even as a 2. Not sure if he would best Weeden, but in my mind I think he would.
Not liking this pick. A bit light in the body frame and yet another WR, CB, S convert. The Texans have picked up CB Natrell Jamerson.
