Rd. 3 Tyrell Crosby- OT Oregon 6'5 310, Crosby is a guy with great feet and plenty of functional strength. Great in pro pro and takes very good angles in run blocking. Only reason he falls is he tore an ACL his Jr. yr but has come back strong as ever. I would trade a 2019 pick to trade into the middle 2nd to get him. Day 1 starter and a massive upgrade.
Rd. 3 Joseph Noteboom- OT/OG, TCU 6'5 315, Noteboom plays with a nasty steak the Texans OL has been missing. He has played both OT spots as well as OG in his time at TCU. Take great angles and is a very smart, 1st or 2nd team all big 12 for 3 yrs. From Killeen, Tx.
Rd. 3 Holton Hill- CB, Texas 6'2 200, Hill is very fluid and seems to understand route concepts, he is fast but is better in zone coverage than in man, although he certainly has the ability to play man. Hill will come out early due to being suspended for pot. So there is some risk involved but Hill is a 1st rd talent. Sean Smith who used to play for the Chiefs is who I would compare him too.
Rd.4 Zach Crabtree- OT Oklahoma St. 6'7 301, Crabtree is a 4 yr starter, mountain of a man who is tough as they come, plays with a mean streak. Crabtree is a really good run blocker who is smart (2nd team academic Big 12) Team leader, Good enough feet, has Basketball Backgrund. Helped lead a potent run game in Ok. St.'s prolific offense. They run behind the right side/Crabtree on most short ydge situations.
Rd.6 Chase Hansen- SS Utah 6'3 216, Hansen is a big a big athletic SS, who can diagnose plays and arrives with an attitude. Has missed time with a leg injury and is currently out of the lineup with an undisclosed injury. Hansen has been injury prone throughout his career, but when healthy he's a stud.
Rd.6 DaeShawn Hamilton- WR Penn St 6'0 200, Hamilton is a fast WR with great quickness. He has really good hands. Hamilton is what Braxton Miller was supposed to be. I see a little Wes Welker in Hamilton.
Rd.7 Todd Kelly- S Tennessee 5-11 200, Kelly is a team leader, with the best character a guy can possibly have, although Kelly only has avg speed he always is around the ball. Solid tackler who I can guarantee you will make the ST's better. He wont pull a Hal and not touch down a guy who catches the ball and then lets the WR get up and score a TD. Dad played 4 seasons with the 49ers.
This mock adds tough smart talented OL and takes advantage of one of the strengths of this draft. Adding a talented but troubled guy like Hill is a risk but it's a small risk in the 3rd, since Ricky usually blows picks in this rd anyways. Might as well blow it on a guy that play. I actually would use one of the 6ths to trade up into the 3rd for Crabtree. He reminds me of Schraeder from the Falcons. The rest of the draft is adding an injured guy at S that's as good as almost any S in this draft. A WR that I believe BOB recruited and another S that has a family with NFL lineage. Alot of these guys are academic all americans.
