**Official Game-Day Thread** Pats at Texans, Saturday August 19, 2017!!

Wow. Good thing Jimmy G isn't a Texan. This board would be exploding with Rick Smith hate for bringing in a QB who makes such a terrible pass.

You're barking up the wrong tree.

I still think Watson should start.

But his accuracy issues aren't new so I have no idea what the patriots or nerves have to do with anything or why you're so sure he'll get it fixed.
I am not sure of anything other than we are all going to die and a dead clock is right at least twice a day. I do know that it is not unusual for rookies to struggle early due to nerves and the increased level of competition and regardless of 1st, 2nd team or 3rd being on the field. Plus the Pats are not just any team. Their track record is not a fluke. So the kid is aware of who he is playing and their reputation.

Just watch how other rookie Qb's in this years rookie class struggle when the competition improves against them.

Plus I can tell you that players can overcome weaknesses and he may or may not but I won't say he absolutely will not or can not do so himself. What makes you so sure you know everything?

I didn't care for the Cunningham pick and so far his play isn't winning me over. He looks completely overmatched.

If the shoe fits

Well fit the shoe..pull up my posts before you throw a temper tantrum over the way I feel that he should be brought along..show me where the hell I was ever against Watson vs how We should bring him along..or just stop making crap up, because I don't agree with how you'd like to bring him along..

Again show me or shut up, I've never been anti Watson, I've just been anti Watson dick suckers who can't accept the fact that he isn't ready.

I like that the offense seems improved, although we won't really know until the real season starts. Defense had it's ups and down. For the 2nd preseason game I'm good with what I saw. I predicted Foreman would be a bust, I could be wrong there. LOL

To establish whether or not you think he's already prefect. It's honestly hard to tell from your insatiable defense of any of his critiques.

And name one poster, much less the mass majority, who's said he's doomed for failure.
Excuse me for horning in on this, but I'm on record as saying he will prove to be a failure.

Ok. The quarterback who won the day today was Savage. The runningback, of courses, Foreman. Watson showed some good, but he also showed he's not quite ready.
And the receiver who the day was Ellington.
Tend to agree, but then again, Watson was the better of the two last week and Patriots would have made it tricky for the rookie.
If Watson looks good the next two games and Savage looks meh, do we start Watson?
Tough call - perhaps we start Savage until he looks like he needs to be replaced.

Watson needs to sit this season out, he just ain't ready. Foreman, on the other hand, is a beast and I can see him taking the #1 RB spot next year or possibly mid season this year.

I think Foreman will send Miller back to his proper role sooner rather than later
