There's nothing any of our QB's could do to give me confidence going into Foxboro. They are a juggernaut and we have proven in the past with many different QB's that we are just not capable of winning those types of games.
But what did we do to deserve Osweiler?
I agree with the call to start Osweiler. He gives us the best chance to win wheather Obrien agrees or not, I don't care. I've had enough of the Obrien show. Savage I like but he has had his opportunities, been hurt most of the time here, hurt again and didn't light it up when he was in there, no touchdown passes, all fieldgoals.??? Time to bring in a new fresh quarterback draft prospect for Savage. We can only carry so many quarterbacks on the roster and I would rather move on from him. So that's it, I've made the decision. Good luck to you Tom but really it's time for you to move on to another profession. Enjoy this one.
This game will come down to one simple equation: can the Texans defense do enough to overcome Brock's averaged two interceptions and O'Brien's dumbass playcalling to secure a win?

lol...this is disheartening...Savage just can't get his **** together
I didn't think it would be possible to outdo Brian hoyers playoff performance from last season but Brock has a realistic chance.
Not really, it's OB dumb ass 4th and 1 play call that screwed Savage over. Even more so is the fact he was cleared to play and then uncleared. Kinda fishy IMO.
We should've beat the Raiders with Brock and a healthy Carr at a neutral site. If the decision really is to start Brock, which it sounds like it is the final decision, there isn't a better scenario (at home, no Carr) for him to gain some confidence back and build on a decent performance vs the Titans when his number was called. Beyond that, there is little hope to beat NE. It's hard enough to pull any optimism out of our current situation.

It isn't OB's fault that Savage has had injuries year after year.

True but this one instance is on OB, and I don't believe he ever had a concussion.

OB didn't cause him to have a concussion. Savage plays a contact sport. If you want to blame OB so bad, then blame him for playing Savage period. That would be more logical to complain about. Savage needed reps though, and playing him was a risk. It was a risk that no one had a problem with, but that risk still existed and the danger of that risk took place and happened. Savage got hurt. AGAIN. It isn't like OB was playing Savage with a 42-7 lead in the 4th quarter or something.
Not buying it, how is he cleared and then uncleared ?
How the hell would I know?
Who cares what you or anyone else is buying though. It doesn't matter. Do you think that concussions are some easy thing to evaluate just like that? The NFL and teams all over the NFL have done a terrible job at evaluating them in the past, and have been heavily criticized for it. It isn't some easy thing to figure out in the moment like that. Are you guys actually trying to suggest that OB calculated this so he wouldn't have to play Savage? Really? OB is the guy that wanted Savage to play, and if he wanted that so badly he would have just started Oz from the jump and held out Savage. Hell, he had all the excuses to do it if he wanted to. It is becoming more and more evident that Mcnair and Smith were the guys that were in love with Oz, not OB. It seems now that OB got stuck with Oz, and if that is the case Houston fans should be at Rick Smith's house demanding he resigns like they did with Matt Schaub.
If you want to create conspiracies for something so insignificant as some concussion protocol, then maybe it was Smith and Mcnair who demanded that Oz got to play. I don't know, hell who cares. You likely will never find out since this organization keeps this tuff under wraps really well.
If they'd handed it to Blue for no gain, people would be bitching about why they didn't sneak it. Bellichick sneaks it with Brady all the time. Not really, it's OB dumb ass 4th and 1 play call that screwed Savage over. Even more so is the fact he was cleared to play and then uncleared. fans heads are gonna explode just b/c that's what Texans fans heads do every time a decision is made down on Kirby that they don't like. I notice that it's more often than not the trolls and draft guys (Texian, Steelb, 76) that ***** the loudest.
For the record, my head has never exploded.
Also for the record, the Texans org has been good for a lot of laughs since 2002.
This is the point a bunch of people seem to be missing. Can you imagine any situation where Brock wins this game and the Texans still draft a QB in this draft within the first 3 rounds? I can't, and that seriously has me questioning how long I can continue even watching football. I'm a one team guy and if that one team can't make me happy, then I think I'd rather live without them. That would be horrible to me.
So basically, if Oz plays halfway decent we're potentially at the risk of Mcnair/Smith deciding that Oz needs one more year here or at least a chance to compete with some other bad prospect if he plays just well enough to win one playoff game?
How the hell would I know?

If that is the case they should let Weeden be the number 2 this weekend and keep Savage inactive.
Weeden should at least be suited up for the game. He surely has the arm strength to throw a longer Hail Mary pass than Osweiler if needed.
I hope he goes out and throws 5 pick 6s, then maybe changes will be made.

Here is Weeden throwing an 81-yard TD pass to Blackmon:
That was what 40 yds in the air? And not a hail mary at all... and all players have a high light clip or two
If Weeden is so great why isn't he leading Cleveland or why did he get benched for a desperate Dallas team?
Weeden had the misfortune of landing in Cleveland on the shores of Lake Erie with the worst 1st round running back pick (Trent Richardson) & some of the worst wide receivers (Greg Little consistently led the league in drops) in NFL history, let alone a horrible defense.
As for Dallas, if you look at the stats, Weeden had the highest QB rating on the Cowboys last season, Tony Romo included; he had only one bad game against New England. And Weeden had no Dez Bryant (injured) and no running game whatsoever to work with last season with Dallas. Had Weeden had this season's Dallas OL line AND Zeke Elliot AND Dez Bryant... OMG! The Texans made the right move in picking up Weeden after Jerry Jones cut him.
