**Official Game-Day Thread** Bengals at Texans, Saturday Dec 24, 2016!!

Lmfao .. we need an OC before the playoffs . Offensive running was so pathetic.

Hope Miller is back next week. A win is a win.. hazaaa
Hope he gets an extra week of rest next week as the game is a dead rubber.

Guess there's a lot of stupid people on this board then. You're one of the only morons still backing OB. Probably still riding Brock's jock as well.

I'm a moron? FK you. As far as backing OB, I've done anything but if you bother to read any posts besides your drivel

Do you think that one day there will be an episode of A Football Life about Randy Bullock where he is destitute because he spent all of his NFL money on KFC and Burger King, kind of like the episodes about guys strung out on drugs but in Randy's case it's twinkies and donuts?
Not unlikely. Title: He spent all his dough on ... dough:uprights:

Well that was ugly. If the O plays like that in the playoffs we might as well forfeit.

I love my Houston Texans, but if OB continues to call this supposed complex offense over and over and over again even though it's not working, they will not get past the first round. It wouldn't make a difference if Joe Montana was playing quarterback... Well maybe, LOL. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not hoping for this but it's just, a blind man could see it

It does not matter who the quarterback is when our head coach and his assitant offensive play caller have no clue how to utilize the weapons we have on offense.

Glad to luckily make the playoffs.

BO'b needs to be more aggressive early and often and less predictable.

Let's see how we end the regular season.

I don't know if there is anything "complex" about the offensive playcalling.

If we had average NFL coaching on offense we would have won this game handily. **** you Bill O'Brien and **** you George Godsey.

I distinctly remember you saying you wanted nobody else but Bill O'Brien as the HC. :)

Cheer up!

He tested positive to high levels crisco

Sucks the team didn't do more to sit him down early in the season and bring him back for the playoffs. Texans medical staff really screwed the pooch with their handling of JJ's injury.
no kidding, he should've never come back so soon, we didn't even need him the first few games. Just plain stupid.

Chuckie said he likes the talent we have and would consider coming out of retirement for us.

Is OB responsible for all the dropped passes???

Why in the world did they put Jeff Allen in at RG? Why was Aboushi inactive? Why did Hunt get one touch on offense? Why was Blue our starting RB? I think we should find ways to get Mumph more touches. He could be our Cole Beasley if they have him on the field more often.

& Move Hopkins around.

O'Brien said it doesn't matter how #Texans won. They are back in the playoffs and that's all that matters.

"They knew what was on the line." Bill O'Brien when the #Texans took the field this evening.

O'Brien: "We've got to keep it going. ... We're going to celebrate tonight, no doubt about it." #Texans

O'Brien said #Texans' coaching staff doesn't care what "some might say." Team counts on close games and tries to win them.

Tom Savage on playoffs: "It just says so much about that locker room." #Texans

Tom Savage asked what was wrong when he was limping: "Nothing. Just unathletic." #Texans

Houston Texans ‏@HoustonTexans
O'Brien: "The players are a resilient bunch of guys. To be AFC champions two years in a row is a tremendous accomplishment for this team."

O'Brien: "Just proud of this team. I think this team fights against a lot of adversity."

O'Brien on Blue: "He's had some really good games for us. He's a very tough runner."

Savage: "We have a resilient group and it's exciting."

Tom Savage 'it was taking a deep breath.' On second half performance

Aaron Wilson ‏@AaronWilson_NFL
Bill O'Brien on Tom Savage 'I felt like we got him into a rhythm. I thought he did a nice job in the second half'

Bob McNair on Tom Savage 'I thought he held up well'

Bob McNair 'the goal is to win it all'

Bob McNair on defense 'They were outstanding'

Tom Savage 'it was taking a deep breath.' On second half performance

Well it sure wasn't pretty but thankfully it was a little bit uglier for them.

Correction. It's even worse than I thought. The only team that scores at a lower percentage in the red zone than us are the Jets. With a tremendous jump ball receiver in Hopkins, some speedy WRs in Fuller and Braxton (pre-injury), and a big TE in CJ, it's just inexcusable. It makes me think it doesn't matter who we add to this team OB will always have a horribly predictable RZ offense.

But hey, I'll take the win!

Of course not. But he is responsible for the horrendous play calling in the red zone. If I remember correctly, I think we are last in the NFL in red zone TDs among all teams with a winning record.

I see where you're coming from. I cut him some slack bc of the never ending QB drama yr after yr and butter fingers receivers/TEs tonite.

I wonder if there is anything to that whole "oversimplified it to keep from overwhelming the guy in his first start" angle because in the first half it sure looked like they were making Savage play with training wheels on behind a terrible offensive line. I don't know how Allen keeps finding his way onto the field. That fat fuckhead can't block anyone and Aboushi, who is pretty damn far from perfect is much better than him.

I just don't know how a guy that's this useless was able to get a contract like he did. In about two seconds I found a blog post on Fansided asking if he was the worst player in NFL history. Did the Texans not even Google this fat bag of crap?

how the hell did we get a win? no way we beat the Titz with that pathetic game plan next week
We don't have to beat them. We need to rest our starters and go into the playoffs healthy and rested. I would rest the older and important defensive players and i would have savage air it out so he can get some reps in the passing game.

What like before we hired him? He was better than Lovie Smith IMO. I was on his bandwagon until late last year. I joined the pink soap club to fire his ass this year. I would love to see Kyle Shanahan coach this offense.
If we could keep Romeo on as DC, Shanahan would make me ecstatic. But OB isn't going anywhere. No chance of that.

It's strange. Keenum came in back in 2013 a posted gaudy passer ratings and threw for lots of TD's (relatively speaking considering the season we were having) but couldn't get a win. Savage comes in this year and now in 1.5 games he's basically 2-0 but can't seem to get a passing TD to save his life.

Just weird.

Both Allen and Bergstrom are gigantic wastes of space. Bergstrom is so bad he can't even get on the field. More quality FA pickups by Rick Smith. Aboushi is much better than both of them.

Agree about the airing it out for practice. ob needs some practice calling an aggressive game. I actually meant if Randy hadn't missed that kick we might have been up crap creek as far as the playoffs go if we had to win next week. We did everything we had to to lose tonight

I swear, the look on Randy's face during our last TO was the same deer in the headlights look he had before every kick he missed for us. I feel bad for the guy on some level, but I almost knew he'd miss it.
