WHeW! Despite OB being a dumb idiot of a coach we win. With a good coach and Brock benched the sky would be the limit
 
So now we need O'b to just say what happened... he benched Osweiler, they'll review the tape, examine what Savage did & make a decision next week.
 
Guess my football afternoon is over. I can't watch the Patriots. It is bad for my blood pressure, I hate them so much.

Surely he can't. I mean as I saw someone else say, it'd have to be a call from the owner if that happened. And if it did, Texans fans better riot.

I've been so down on this team, as any of you that have read my posts lately already know. It's just been excruciating watching QB play where you're never even sure if he'll be able to pass for over 100 yards. I remember back when we used to talk about Kubiak's "slow plodding" offense but with Brock at QB, I've never seen a more boring and slow offense. He's slow with everything he does, including his reads and release.

Today was a good day.

Savage had some amazing throws and it seemed OB had more confidence in him to throw than Brock ever had. If he puts in Brock next week I'm done for the season. That would be the biggest insult to fans ever
 
Brock Osweiler looked good on the side lines.
So much poise handling that cup of gatorade.
We paid him $72 million to be a waterboy.

In all seriousness, Tom Savage won the job.
He'll start on Saturday Night versus the Bengals.

We just need to beat the Bengals and Titans, cap off a perfect 6-0 year in the division and win back-to-back AFC South division titles.

I'm not banking on the Jaguars beating the Titans next weekend. We have to take matters into our own hands.

He should keep the Bengals guessing all week - even make them believe that Brock Osweiler will start - and then name Tom Savage the starter closer to kick off on Saturday Night.

He does look like a promising star but for some reason he gets away with a lot of contact. He's no Deion Sanders quite yet, but I saw him holding Hopkins down field quite a lot today and no flags were thrown.
 
Bill O'Brien just said he will make a decision "this week" as to who he will start at quarterback on Saturday Night versus the Bengals. Primetime game on Christmas Eve. Huge playoff implications on the line for us. It doesn't get any better than that!
 
Of course he's not going to anoint Savage the starter this early. Want to make the Bengals wonder who is starting... but everyone already knows it's Savage. OB is just doing the coach speak routine with the media.

I would be disappointed if he said anything like that.

Not that I think they should give up on Osweiler, but Savage is better in this offense now & gives us the best chance to win now. Long term I still think Osweiler is the Texans choice.

There is no way you can say Savage is better now but Brock is better long term. Both are young, one is better and cheaper. No reason Tom can't get his fair shake now

That's ob's mo and what i expect out of him. If oz trots out there to start next week im f#$&ing done with this team. I literally stood up and applauded alone in my house at the tv when savage came in. If ob didn't feel the surge from the fans and more importantly the team he has no buisness being a hc.
