Is there any other time in recent history?King Texan....So nice of u to join us in this horrible time for being a Houston Texan fan....oh wait, that's the only time u come around..
Another flunky will coach next year. You know Bud Adams, er, I mean McNair. And the pity is, there are so many winners in college jobs. One of them is bound to be interested.Who will it be?
Do we revert back and try to lure a Gruden or Cowher out of retirement?
Convince Saban that like Pete C the second time may be the charm for him? ***could you imagine our defensive talent in Sabans system?
BoB has to go. So who coaches next year?

The game has changed since he was coaching. I just think we need a simplistic offensive minded coach. Screw this complicated offense crap.We need a proven NFL winner. Money whip Cowher to come out of retirement.

I hear if u even look at Tom Herman he will take the job.....
So UH wasn't looking?
They were behind him so he couldn't see them......
So not just 'if you even look at him' then ... ok.
Smith first, O'Brien second, Osweiler 3rd.
Gotta have priorities my man.
It seems BOB is tied to Brock so let him come back and they both flame out next year and start over in 2018.
If it comes to a pass..it would probably be high and behind...Hell, Id be willing to give second and third a pass just to get rid of the first.
At this point it looks like not hiring Phillips to be HC was a mistake. Anyone could do better than BoB.
Maybe so.
IMO, It looks like Bill is doing the best job he can with the talent he has. Osweiler is just not accurate. He continually throws behind the receiver instead of leading him a little. Bill is having to run the ball more to minimize the dependence of Brock. Defenses know it. They can stack the box and make Brock throw.
Anyway...., Bill does have a winning record.
Remember Kubiak had two of the best seasons this franchise has ever seen when Matt Schaub was an accurate QB. When Matt fell apart, Kubiak became a horrible coach.

That is on the coach to bring up the next player. he continues to put this team in terrible positions because he is stuck on 1 player. Brock is clearly not getting the concept of being accurate. You have to try something else before we lose this division race

Bill Cowher or Nick Saban or Vince Lombardi will not make BO throw straight..............The problem is deeper than BOB.
Dang OB just shifted blamed to the Oline and Hopkins on that first INT.
I get the oline...oz had to scramble out due to some pressure (even though this is the NFL and being able to handle pressure like that should be fairly easy....but whatever)
Saying that Hopkins should have broke that pass up though?
Yikes.
Even if He's right and Hop could have made some effort to break that up, it's not going to sit well with guys when you're doing everything you can to deflect blame from Os even going so far as to throw other players/units under the bus.
he did it in his presser, I would rather lose Oz then the team. I find it odd you blame the receiver to be a defender because the QB is spraying the ball. They also commented Nuk left the facility quick and before he put his shoes on. The guy is probably wondering about his contract year performance and his QB is killing itIf he's doing that publicly he'll lose the team, and we'll be rid of him

O'Brien took over a loaded team compared to what Koobs inherited. His record speaks to the talent on the team and not to some coaching wizardry. He gets no pass from me. His inability to control the tempo of a game, his incompetence with situational management in respects to down and distance play calling and challenge flag usage tells me he isnt head coaching material. Those arent skills you learn on the job. Some people are good bosses others are great leaders and O'Brien just strikes me more of a guy who's putting on a show. Where is the tough guy who cusses alot and is all alpha at the podium when the game is on the line? His system lacks the creativity to succeed consistently at the NFL level, while Kubiak can take virtually ANY QB and make him into a respectable player due to the blocking schemes, route tree maximization and insane ability to use angles to use the full field.
Bill O'Brien will be fired from this job and probably wont be a head coach again. Kubiak will be a head coach as long as he wants to be one.
O'Brien's job is secure. The excuse is that Osweiler is still developing, and McNair agrees.
Seems to me that Os is regressing.
Got to get rid of Smith first or you get a BOB clone. Just a wanna be yes man that will put up with anything just to get the job.

O'Brien inherited a sack of crap on the QB side and we searched through the bag for 2 years looking for a fresh turd.
O'Brien inherited Keenum, Yates and a draft that included Bortles, Bridgewater, Carr and Garoppolo. O'Brien walked into a guaranteed 9 wins, all he had to do was coach what he had and draft a quarterback with the luxury of sitting for a year. Instead he started cutting quality players before having a plan - forced to bring them back (Yates and Keenum went 4-0) because of injury and his shortsightedness.
Who decided not to draft a QB after Matt melted down..??
If it really was the coach like you're suggesting, then I would agree with you.
