2016 NFL Draft

I think it's a real possibility. 3 or 4 OTs are rated as 2nd round values. Rick and Bill get a little antsy, so we could see another trade up.
If there is one thing they've proven is that they are not afraid and have the propensity to trade up. You say antsy, I say panic

Mackenzie Alexander has to be the pick for Carolina, right? After losing Norman, this is a no brainer to me.

Their GM Gentlemen (sp?) has said he thinks his DL makes the secondary better. He's been beating that drum a lot lately. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go DL.

So, we traded up 1 in 1st rd., we trade up 2 in 2nd rd.? lol Just kidding guys. I had to go there. Although may look silly for our FO to go up a little, as long as that pick pans out, it is OK with me. Obviously our FO felt need to go up to prevent from some others to jump in front of them and snag Bob's pick. Wasn't that a case last year when Seattle jump in from of us to snag Lockett?

Lockett, Bridgewater (so say some), and Melvin Gordon. Damn...we get jumped yearly.

I really like the talent available of the guys that I know. I suppose that's not surprising, most analysts said that this draft was strong in the 2nd-4th round range.

O'Brien said he liked Fuller mainly because of his vertical speed and his YPC, he drafted Stephen Hill.

Please. Fuller made a ton of plays in college. Hill was a complete projection from a wishbone offense. Always go to the hyperbole, don't ya?

Luckiest team tonight = Jacksonville and Denver
Luckiest player tonight = Carson Wentz, he's not a Brown.
Best Draft so far = Jacksonville and Denver
Worst draft so far = Tennessee

If you don't write something they like or agree with they act like you pissed in their Cheerios.

Honestly, I'm a bit confused as to the post you made that referenced Stephen Hill. Are you saying that OB drafted Stephen Hill clone in Will Fuller or are you saying that Stephen Hill was mentioned by the coach? I'm guessing that OB didn't say anything about Stephen Hill.

To your overall point, people get all kinds of weird on draft day. Point out that it's annoying that your fellow poster is smashing CTRL+R on twitter to get the pick as fast as possible and post it on a damn message board 30 seconds before it appears on TV, just to be that guy, and it's like you shot his child and he starts acting like a 12 year old. Decent guy too. Another curses twice at you to tell you not to even be on the board. People are f'n weird on draft day, man.

Stephen Hill was much like Fuller and checked OB's boxes, fast (4.36) vs Fuller (4.32), OB liked and impressed with Fuller's 20.3 YPC , Hill lead NCAA with 29.3 YPC. Hill also had better measurable in Vert, BJ, BP, 10 yd,, bigger hands, longer arms. Hill was drafted 4 years ago by the Jets at #43. 790 guys were saying Texans had drafted Johnny Lam Jones. Funny!

For the most part most are honorable and stick with gentleman's agreement not to post early info. Some folks just want to be the guy and be first.

I remember Stephen Hill at GTech and I agree with Lucky, the comparison isn't a good one. There is a huge gap in production alone.

Yes there was a difference in production but that was due to playing in Paul Johnson's system of every time they ran the ball 15 times they would pass once. I listened to everything Smith and O'Brien had to say about Fuller and they both focused on his speed and YPC as primary reason for drafting him. It just reminded me a lot why people liked Hill and were making the similar comments about Hill in 2012. My Hill comments were made along the same line as the 790 guys saying the Texans had drafted Johnny Lam Jones. Tongue in cheek. Some took umbrage in that.

Yup. He fits our offense and needs to perfection. We didn't need another outside wideout. We needed a slot guy with speed to blow the top off of defenses. Fuller has the speed and shiftiness to return kicks too.

He's never returned a kick in his life. Probably because his coaches couldn't trust him to catch the damn thing.

Don't hate the player but picking him over Doctson/Treadwell is just beyond me. Too much emphasis on one single trait instead of the entire product. I think Doctson/Treadwell will be superior players but yea we'll win the track meet. Hopefully I'm wrong and he makes me look like an idiot.

Don't let his lack of special teams experience deter anyone from "hanging their hat" on his potential there. Just shows how much people actually research before posting about players.

Tunsil on his way out of Mississippi...

Someone is going scorched earth on Tunsil with his Twitter account. And Tunsil is making it even worse in his interviews.

I vote his jilted stepdad as the culprit.

When a mediocre football program starts landing all the good players in the span of a year, it is always the same SMU-like shenanigans. Of course, all of the big dog schools do it too.

NCAA is a sad joke, they almost make the UIL look free of corruption by comparison

Can't blame the NCAA. They have more important matters to attend....like keeping Jim Harbaugh north of the Mason-Dixon line. No time for trivial matters like Ole Miss paying recruits or Tennessee/Baylor covering up rapes when SEC recruiting turf is being infringed upon.

its hard not to hate when a division rival takes "your guy" what's worse, a healthy dose of Luck, beats a combo of Osweiler/Fuller.

I didn't know because someone has never done it before meant they weren't capable of it. Thanks for clarifying for me. :boogereater:

Wasn't trying to be a dick about it. Just saying, if he wasn't doing it in college then the odds of him doing it in the NFL aren't all that great. Does he have the speed? Absolutely. But the fact that he had the speed in college and was never utilized in that fashion is telling.
