This move will tell me all I need to know about McNair

well you won the division and made playoffs so duh lol. When are these owners not trying to make more money anymore

From Nov 10th.

I really, REALLY don't want to win this division @ 7-9 and have my ticket prices raised due to "winning the division", despite our EPIC collapses. The thought makes me want to hurl.

It ended up 9-7 and still applies. Winning Record + Playoffs = slam dunk on the increase.

Prices go up regardless right? I don't know why they didn't last year, but ticket prices will be going up in the future.

OK I guess may not show anything but what if he said I know we won the division but we really %^$K so no increase this year.

I thought it said movie.

A mockumentary titled "Winning in the NFL." How nepotism, loyalty, and choir boys contributed to 3 AFC South titles.

Ticket prices, from what I understand, will be slightly increased for the 2016 season. I had emailed John McClain this morning and he assures me it's a given.

it wont go up if the American Economy Crashes Again which I kinda sense it looming ..????? but that's a Off topic kinda thing

Oh yeah with that amazing play off game we just played why wouldn't they go up....I'm sure fans are licking their chops at the thought of this teams potential :boogereater:

Choirboys of the world UNITE. We're tired of being insulted by the dregs of society.

Look, I'm on a "do nothing job" in NYC expecting a blizzard. It's the offseason. You guys aren't replying nearly quickly enough. I don't want to hear about work or family or relationships. I want to talk TEXANS!! Now get with the program!!! Give me something til FA starts!!PLEASE!!!!!

I need input and point-counterpoint much more often than you guys are supplying it! Step it up!!

Ok...

Buy or sell? Why?

Jalen Strong will secure the starting position opposite of DHOP before the end of next season?

Thankfully, my seat price did not increase. My seat is very comfy and has lots of leg room with a foot stool and rocks. Rest rooms are easily available and can pause the action if a "pit stop" is required for any reason. Refreshments are also at a very reasonable price - also easily obtained. Have fast forward, rewind and slo-mo is needed.

Any my children that do not live with me know to not bother Gramma/Mom during the game.

I wasn't missing neg rep until now.

Manziel. Handcuff him to Cush and he might turn into something...or not make it to week 1.

LOL, I hear ya. My buddy asked me that question tonight. I said just shoot me & put me out of my misery. Manziel is a POS, basket case, mental midget. But, I dont see anyway that the Texans can roll out Hoyer as starting QB ever again.

Texans have sold out every home game it has ever played! That's why ticket prices will go up (not winning the division).

There's this basic economic principle called "supply & demand". And the last I checked, the NFL is a business.

It has been EVERY time I have ever checked.

* heavy sigh *

Once again we are left in the cold after the season, with nothing to talk about except ticket prices and speculation on draft picks. And QBs of course. We're always talking about QBs, mostly how the ones we have are crap.

All you need to know about McNair is that he's made a billion $$$$ off of the GREAT FANS of the HOUSTON TEXANS and was OK with Brian Hoyer as his tarting QB. His team scores 0 points in the playoff game (A pathetic performance.) and he raises season ticket prices 6% or about $5 per ticket.

It's enough to make you wish McNair's medicore team hadn't made the playoffs.

Yep, we all know what McNair is all about.

So do you want McNair meddling or not? Get your whining straight. Here you are basically calling him out for not overriding his HC on QB selection IN THE PLAYOFFS. A HC you seem determined to defend despite having picked that same QB to begin with. Was OB just caring about money too trying to ride Hoyer for a year?

I'm not defending BOB. His choice of Hoyer was a terrible one for sure and the season played out like I thought it would with Hoyer at QB. 7-9,9-7.

With that said I dont believe that posters are giving BOB the benefit of the doubt that they gave Kubiak. After all, remember after 2 seasons all of the Kubiak's a young HC that's learning on the job posts.

Do you think it's possible that BOB might be learning on the job too? Exhibit A Brian Hoyer as a starting NFL QB. I think some people on this MB dont like BOB personally and are rooting for him to fail so they can say I told you so. At the very least they aren't giving BOB the same fair shake that they gave Kubiak.

Maybe some of us learned cynicism from you.

I want OB, no, the Texans to succeed. I'm just not seeing the OB part so far. I see the RAC part, same as seeing the Wade part.

Just not seeing the OB part.

Me neither as of right now. With that said, I'm willing to let BOB get some pieces in place before I make that call. Give him a young QB and we will know more in 2-3 yrs.

Kubiak got the benefit of the doubt because we all know what a crappy team he inherited.

Bob inherited a fairly decent team with the exception of QB, which after 2 years he had basically done nothing to correct . Especially seeing the guys he brings in Hoyer, Mallet, Fitz.
Seeing what he can do with the guys brought in as a short term "patch" for injuries, Keenum, Yates, Weeden - gives me a little hope, but not as much after 2 years of still not fixing the QB problem. Hopefully he does fix that problem this year.

But if Hoyer is still on this team come OTA's, there will be little doubt left in my mind that he needs to go.
