Problem is that when we release promising return specialists, they always get picked up by somebody, and then you hear about them taking punts and kick offs to the house. Tired of that. Have this nagging feeling the same thing will happen with Worthy.
 
We are going to wish we had Keenum if Hoyer doesn't cut it.
Mallet reminds me of steve miller song Joker smoker a midnight toker plus he is brittle.

Anyone else tired of hearing "number 73 is an eligible receiver" in the background on almost every offensive play we run???
 
I was going to say this before the last catch. I don't know if they'll keep him, but Martin has looked good this pre season.

As he has in the past. I would have released Mr. Preseason two years ago unfortunately. We have so much depth at wide receiver. I guess it depends if we keep five or six guys. He'd be #6 on the WR depth chart for me. He plays special teams which helps but at this point it's not like he's anything special. Keshawn won't make or break a Super Bowl team. If that is what we want to become.

I would think we'd have to keep Strong, Mumphrey, Shorts, Washington, and of course Hopkins as well. That makes 6 WR's. Tough decision.

Yeah I agree with the disappearing act...

Something looks different about him this year though.

Like if I didn't know his history here I'd have him as the leading candidate for the sixth wr spot.

He looks like an NFL player now.

In preseason and regular season games there shall be a maximum of 15 minutes of sudden death with two time outs instead of three. General provisions that apply for the fourth quarter will prevail. Try not attempted if touchdown scored. If there is no score in the 15 minutes, the game shall end in a tie.

I don't know a lot about Nate Washington and I'm sure they wouldn't cut him. He's seemed to have made the team since early in camp, but just personally speaking I'd have to think about cutting him and keeping one of the young guys instead.

But admittedly I could be totally wrong about my impressions there.

Yea I haven't seen much of him in preseason. I'd hate to have to make the decision personally. Do I take youth and potential over experience?
 
I think I'm president of the Martin hate club. If not I'm definitely a member. Have hated that guy for a while now

But the guy has looked good this pre season. He looks like a different player man.
