Tom Savage is our first QB to suffer a major injury?
That didn't look good. Was slammed hard to the ground.
Let's hope it's just a shoulder separation or something minor.

Can he pop it back into place and go back in? Looks like Ryan Mallett is coming in.

Definitely looks like shoulder injury. Was holding his right arm stiff while walking off the field. Hopefully not serious.

This is why he hasn't had a real hard look at a starting job. He's been good enough to warrant a look but he can't stay healthy. If he hadn't gotten hurt in that Colts game last season, when the opportunity fell into his lap, he could have started the final two games against the Ravens and Jaguars last year as a rookie. We had to sign Case Keenum to win those two games.
 
Savage may just open up another roster spot with what looks like a significant injury?

Mallet looks happy to get his chance to save the day. We'll see this could change everything (Rick Smith just suddenly left broadcast booth).

That was just my best case scenario. It's probably a lot worse. It looked like his season was coming to an end. I didn't want to fear the worst possibilities. But as a third-string we still have two guys ahead of him on the depth chart.
 
The backup offensive line is terrible. We really need to focus on getting better depth there when we can, maybe after cuts?

We can't run the ball efficiently at all, the blocking is terrible even on the first team.

Sounds good. Lechler is our emergency QB anyways.
We may have to go with an extra WR or D-Lineman.

It's not like we're going to trade a 4th or 5th for RG3.
Hoyer and Mallett, at least one, would have to go down.
And it would have to happen before the trading deadline in late October.

Rick Smith was praising the new addition, Clark, and Savage is brutally taken down a few seconds later. I agree it's all garbage depth on the O-Line. Good job putting it together, RICK!

We enter Week 1 with some optimistic vibes because Watt, Wilfork and Clowney didn't play. Check.

Cushing didn't play either :D
 
I thought Nix and Covington played decent. Both have a lot to learn and need to work on being washed out of plays too easliy. But they both flashed.
