2015 Texans Talk Mock Draft SELECTION

Status
Not open for further replies.
Sorry, once again, y'all. Things have come up in my personal life lately and I haven't been able to keep up here (and I likely won't).

Would anyone be willing to take over the last few picks for Detroit and Tampa Bay for me, or just make them group picks or something?

We can take it over as a group. Each team only has two selections remaining so it won't be a big deal.

I have an idea of the needs for each team and one of the guys in charge can make a selection for you when the picks come up.

For DET, I would suggest S and OG for the two picks.

For TB, I would suggest a big LB and another OT.

Jacksonville has missed their pick.

They select Corey Crawford - DE, Clemson

He's close to BPA, he fits the scheme, and they need depth on the DL.

The Buccaneers are now open for group pick. I nominate Anthony Chickillo (DE, Miami) for their pick although I will leave the pick open for other nominations until steelbtexan is ready to make a pick for the Falcons.

The clock is now off until 7:00am-9:00am Monday morning. Judging by the participation the last few days I do not expect us to make much progress at all.

32 compensatory picks, in reality, makes the draft a full 8 rounds not 7.

my recommendation would be OT, Terry Poole, San Diego State, 6046 307. Gotta protect the franchise -

I'm fine with either of those picks for them.

The draft has done a good job so far of hitting need spots for them:

1. Jameis Winston, QB
2. Laken Tomlinson, OG
3. Benardrick McKinney, ILB
4. Javorius Allen, RB
5. Deion Barnes, DE
6. Andrew Donnal, OT

So they've already hit DE and OT recently. But they could still use another tackle along with Dline depth or even a Punter.

Chickillo is near the top of my board but I do like the OT for them. I'd also nominate Jacorey Shepherd, CB, Kansas.

I love the Chickilo pick.

But since I'm picking next I dont want to be part of the process.

With the 185th pick in the TT Mock Draft the Atlanta Falcons Select B.J. Finney - Kansas St. 6'4, 318 Lbs 5.25.

Finney is a former wrestler who walked on at Kansas St and ended up as a team captain. He's strong as a bull, tough and has good short area quickness. He reminds me of Ryan Wendell of the Pats. I love OL that are former wrestlers. The Falcons start Finney off at OG.

Finney is the type of late rd pick I hope the Texans can add for great OL depth and being a hard worker my bet is on him becoming a starter.

10(186) Giants (The Pencil Neck) -- on the clock
11(187) Saints (PHILLYTEXANFAN) -- on deck
12(188) Bills (WolverineFan) -- in the hole
13(189) Browns (WolverineFan) --
14(190) 49ers (mussop) -- be ready

Sorry about that guys, Dammit I really like Finney.

With the 185th pick in the TT Mock Draft the Atlanta Falcons select Takoby Cofield- Duke, 6'4 310 Lbs, 5.05.

Cofield is great in pass pro (Great feet) he's a good wall off blocker in the run game opening up holes for RB's. He reminds me of David Bakhtiari.

The Falcons badly need OL depth and Cofield provides this. This pick means moving Corey Robinson into OG where he's probably better suited. Anything to keep Ryan protected.

that's even better pick, can't believe he is still on the board :polevault:

I picked Finney who was already taken.

So with pick 185 the Falcons picked Takoby Cofield OT, Duke.

Sorry about the brain fart.

No problem. We just had a timing thing.

I saw the Finney pick, then I saw the Takoby Cofield change, then I made my pick, but when I posted my pick, the Takoby Cofield pick was gone.

I wanted to make sure I hadn't picked too soon.
