Wow.... I agree with Collinsworth. Should have been Marshawn Lynch time... Beast mode.

Still. One heck of a game.

& yes, I was wrong about Brady winning another Super Bowl.

I feel kicked in the head, gut and groin... all at the same time.

I so can not stand Brady, Belichick and the Patriots.

I almost feel like that had be to fixed - that is how insane that play call was. They even had a time out left. Defies all logic.

Can't wait to hear the media try and pester Lynch about why he thinks his number wasn't called on that play.

Because Pete Carroll from time to time has to prove he is the smartest kid in the room.

I thought he had gotten it out of his system after the Falcons playoff loss 2 years ago, but it is still there.

I think that Pete got caught up in the moment instead of playing Seahawks Football they tried to play Patriot Football with a quick short crossing route. If anybody has seen that play its the Patriots D. They practice against it all the time.

Seattle makes the most spectacular catch in a Super Bowl since "the helmet catch-Giants " and had 4 chances to run it down their throats and they shat all over the field with a run then pass:wadepalm:

The first run netted them four yards. I was expecting runs on 2nd & 3rd down. Surprised Pete didn't do that.

I think that goes down as THE .....

Most Horrible Playcall In NFL History

Bar None.

I get that but the call is just inexcusable. Lynch gets yards after contact virtually every run he makes.

I mean that was just a douchey Madden move that you make just to rub your buddy's face in it.

Arrogance of carroll and bevel got in the way of rational thinking. That playcall will haunt the seahawks fans for life.

These scenarios where game MVP's get vehicles are so absurd. Why not have some lucky fan ahead of time for each team designated as the winner on behalf of the manufacturer and the MVP? Just sayin, a little goodwill bridge between the well to do athletes and the fans. Eh?

The call will live in infamy. People will be like where were you when that call was made? There will be a saying " that was such a Carroll call/play". Just awful. Fubar and beyond.

hmmmm they could o ran the ball like 2 times with Marshawn do a QB or FB run anything

I wonder why they didn't do that and thn if thy ad to throw the ball on 4th down

What a great game. Glad Belichick and Brady got another one. **** seattle and their stupid 12th man stealing bandwagon fans.

It did have the scent of arrogance from Carroll. It was like a track and field star blowing past the field and 10 yards from the finish line he turns around and starts running backwards to taunt the other competitors when he falls flat on his rear end.

Seattle has long had some of the best fans in the NFL even back in the ground Chuck days . They also have the loudest and biggest home field advantage . Seattle biggest advantage is they have female cheerleaders .

in modern time yeah GOAT but it was a different game 25 years ago much different

so greatest of the modern NFL era yeah sure

Agree. He is among the greatest but is he better than Elway, Montana or even Marino who never even won a SB? Personally, I don't think so. Marino, with his lightning quick release, strong arm, durability and accuracy would have been tremendous in this era with the rules the way they are.

Passing records aren't just being broken these days, they're being shattered.

I imagine Jermaine Kearse is pissed off. What would have been one of the most famous catches in Super Bowl history has been turned into a footnote.

Pat Doney ‏@PatDoneyNBC5
Malcolm Butler BARELY made Patriots' roster. Told media if he didn't make the team, he was going to be a barber. Just won NE the Super Bowl.

mike freeman @mikefreemanNFL
Seahawks players are ripping the hell out of that last call. Openly.

Ross Tucker ‏@RossTuckerNFL
Even an incomplete pass is idiotic for Seahawks in that situation. I'll never get over that play call.

Sam Monson ‏@PFF_Sam
There really was some freaky loss juju being passed on in these playoffs. Detroit-> Dallas-> Green Bay-> Seattle-> New England

Turn around grab your balls and jump backwards across the finish line.

Worst call at an important moment that I have ever seen.

Must have been political since Marshawn Lynch is not coming back they wanted to keep him from being the MVP

So, you think that even with the ultimate goal, winning it all, is just inches away they are thinking of the future and petty politics ????????

Nosir. I can't believe that for a second. Seattle did a dumb thing, but they would have sold their souls for that touchdown. Winning the ultimate prize is why they are there. It's what they do. That goes for every team in the league.

Don't think so - it has Carroll all over it.

He came out afterwards and said that they felt comfortable showing pass with 3rd and 4th down for Lynch if necessary. Pats kept their goal-line set against 3 WRs, so they thought they had a good opportunity to get it in passing.

still a stupid call... but sometimes you have to give credit to the other team. Defense made a great play when they had to.

I'd still have risked the fumble on the odds that with 3 tries Lynch could punch it in.

Like someone said, "someone tried to out Belichek the Patriots"
