players worthy of taking around 1.13

I thought Ramsey was the best player this year but Williams right there behind him. Ramsey is going to be the top S next year. Awesome player.

In regards to the coaching, it was so difficult to watch. Seeing Mario Edwards running 25 yards downfield trying to cover TEs and RBs was mind boggling. The DC's name is Charles Kelly and he needs to be replaced.

Agree on Ramsey. He was the one player who consistently stood out on defense for FSU this year.

Mussop, no Eddie Goldman-DT or Benardrick McKinney-OLB/ILB ?

McKinney was left off on purpose. I don't see him as a first round talent. Just doesn't seem to have good instincts. Goldman was meant to be on the bubble list. Like Malcom Brown, I like what I have seen of him, just haven't seen enough.

I stayed up late last night making that post and like an idiot id spent a long time working on it in the forum box instead of using word. When I clicked submit reply it disappeared. I tried going back but it was gone. I had a write up of each player on the list and what I liked and disliked about them and how I thought they would fit on our team. Also had a list of guys that I left off the list that are IMO worthy of being drafted top 16 but just don't fit our team/scheme.

The whole purpose of this thread is to get an idea of who the best possible players are that will be available when we pick and discuss them.

We should be looking hard at PJ Williams at CB.

I will add him to the list. If there is any more guys you guys really think should be there let me know. Especially secondary guys. I have said before that I'm not much on watching the secondary prospects. I listed Waynes because he seems to be a consensus to 15 CB. Peters is the only secondary guy I have really watched and would put my name by. Of course if it comes out that he really choaked a coach he shouldn't be there. He is a really good player but if the reports are true just not worth that high a pick.

Maybe I'm misremembering but I think Peters has attacked a coach on two separate occasions. Talented player who is worth a risk at some point, just not sure at what point yet. He definitely has first round talent but that does you no good if he keeps himself off the field.

McKinney is listed everywhere as a MLB because Miss St uses him there but I don't think that's his best spot. He doesn't have the instincts for it. If I ran a 34 I'd take him and put him on the edge to rush the passer. Limit his responsibilities and let him use his size and athleticism to get after the QB. If I ran a 43 he'd be off my board.

There are conflicting stories about what happened. There are several raputable reporters and scouts saying he's not a bad guy and that the truth will come out.

I agree with all that about McKinney. He more an athlete than a football player. His best bet would be to pin his ears back and rush the passer. I wouldn't even consider him in the first round.

I love him as a prospect. My issue was the coaching this year had everyone playing at a lower level than last year. That's what I meant by my comment a few weeks ago. PJ was my favorite player on the team, as Xavier Rhodes was back in his day.
I started off high on PJ mocking our first at one point but was not impressed this season with him I also liked X.

PJ is actually very similar to Rhodes in their college careers. PJ was a bit better in coverage and Xavier a bit better in run support but very similar. They both had down years, relative to previous years, in their final year, but I wouldn't be too concerned by it. PJ still had an excellent year IMO. They are both long and good at tracking the ball. PJ has even better ball skills and if you follow PFF or the Vikings, you'll see that Rhodes had an excellent end of year during the regular season. He was rated amongst the top 5 corners.
