Does Arizona have a chance?

Arizona beat Oregon 31-24 earlier this year, @Oregon.

Revenge game for the

Oregon K has 5 FG attempts this year. :spit:

Bummer, C Hroniss Grasu not playing. 2nd high snap, already.

Super Mariota. Class of the QB position this year. Would be awesome if he somehow fell into the Texans laps come draft time.

Mariota way off on some passes first half and OT Fisher a drawing too many flags. IIRC tow for off sides.

Look at the laser rocket arm. The footspeed.

Sure he hasnt been uber accurate, but c'mon now, as I type the kid gets away from a sack and throws a frozen rope for 50 yards, then follows up with the TD pass ... wow!

I see the assets but also can identify poor plays and he made several. Of course I would take him 1-1.

Arizona has had Mariota number. Found a way to throw his rhythm off. Give him credit for overcoming his fear, the conditions & Arizona defense. He's rolling now setting All Time Oregon records not to mention nationally. Despite slow start this is a complete, statement game for Oregon. Bring on big boys, time for playoffs baby!

I was impressed with Mariota. Obviously he came out shaky and inaccurate but he recovered and had a great game. What impressed me was Arizona did a good job of taking away his first read and making him work his progressions and move in the pocket. He did both. That's the difference between him and many other recent dual threat QB's. Most other dual threat QB's would have run for 100 yards last night. Mariota ran for 33 yards and really only looked to scramble on 3rd down or in the red zone. Every time I see him I think mobile QB, not running QB.

Spot on bro!

The things a QB does wrong are just as important to me as the big, flashy plays. That's where Mariota impresses me.

I find it hard to project how he will translate to the NFL due to the offense he plays in. It's nothing like what he will be doing in the pros.

But I am very impressed by the way that he avoids mistakes, and when he does make them he minimizes their impact.
