Houston Texans @ Cleveland Browns. 11/16. Noon. CBS. **Official Gameday Thread**

Looks like the Texans have another head coach who doesn't play to win, just plays to not lose...

Guess O'Brien didn't learn EVERYTHING from the hoodie...

It's a little easier to play to win when Tom Brady is your QB.

Not absolving OB because that was horrendous playcalling inside the red zone, but he just freaking went for it on 4th down a couple plays before that. Way too reactionary to turn right around and dump on him for being a puss.

Happy with going for it on the 4th down. Not sure that that was the best play for the situation, but I'm glad it workd.

Saw that crap for 8 years with another coach who played "not to lose" put your foot on their throat and put it out of reach.

Now look what Cleveland is doing...

If fitzpatrick made a throw like that everyone would be livid. Mallet had promise but man that was terrible. We got lucky

You mean ten year veteran game manager Fitzpatrick whose only job was not to screw up? Yes, fans probably would have been less forgiving.

Typical losing attitude. Play not to win. That mentality didn't work out too well for the last Texans HC

Every now & then the coach makes a call & he's waiting for the QB to say, "Hell nah.. we got this."

& Mallett can always call an audible.

Your first start for a new team ,and your trying to win the starting QB job. Im sure that not the time you want to say, naw coach I got this going to do my own thing.

Repped!!! I'm tired of this limp wristed lavender packet way of playing football in Houston.

Cut their veins open and bleed them out all over themselves...again and again and again.

It's Mallett's first start. Forgive me for not questioning OB's manhood for playing it somewhat conservative. In his first 2 starts The Hoodie had Brady throw the ball 23 times and 24 times. Was he playing not to lose as well?

Some of you are so illogically reactionary to everything O'Brien does. He just threw it on 4th & 3 but he's playing not to lose because we had a bad series in the red zone.

If you ever get a moment step back and read your own posts and then realize what an obsessive know-it-all asshole you sound like sometimes. Try it. It's good for a laugh.

3rd and short we should have QB sneaked. Up the middle was a better shot I think. Don't mind the up tempo since it was working.

D gotta play big here.

He's playing not to lose because Cleveland is loading the box to stop the run. A quick slant would have done nicely and was low risk.
