Houston Texans @ Cleveland Browns. 11/16. Noon. CBS. **Official Gameday Thread**

It's Mallett's first start. Forgive me for not questioning OB's manhood for playing it somewhat conservative. In his first 2 starts The Hoodie had Brady throw the ball 23 times and 24 times. Was he playing not to lose as well?

Some of you are so illogically reactionary to everything O'Brien does. He just threw it on 4th & 3 but he's playing not to lose because we had a bad series in the red zone.

Really? Running uptempo to give the ball right back is illogically reactionary? You do realize Hoyer has like 4 come back victories this year...

So, just tell me you'll be singing the same song if we lose. It's not just one redzone series.

I understand your first-time QB argument, but that first-time QB is also a pro player, not a suckling piglet.

He's playing not to lose because Cleveland is loading the box to stop the run. A quick slant would have done nicely and was low risk.

The playcalling was definitely bad down there. I believe I was one of the first to point that out. But I don't see a bad series as a lack of cojones by the HC. His QB is in his first start. A lack of aggression should be expected.

Just turned in while Mohammed made the pick. How did Mallet look today?

The running game was outstanding the first three quarters until the Browns stacked the box. Mallet makes the Offense look completely different!!! He's been solid to good, lots of potential!

If you looked at the Box Score you would say it was Fitz numbers, but night and day for sure.

You're my boy BLUE!!!!

I say that every time he makes a bad ass play.

I understand the frustration from most of you, really I do, but I'm also willing to look at both sides of it. Hoyer is completing less than 40% of his passes and Cleveland can't get a drive together without fumbling it away. You've run for 200 yards on the ground and have consistently controlled the clock and tempo of the game.

Playing somewhat conservatively shouldn't always be a negative but some on this board will crucify a coach unless he's going for the dagger on every single possession. It seems a bit little picture > big picture but that's just me.

Grinding out the clock against an inferior team isn't necessarily playing not to lose. It's strategy. It's just not a very aggressive one.

Solid. Ball came out allot faster. Was a good start and win for Mallett

Thanks for the heads-up guys.

Damn MSR

Stop trying for the strip and make a tackle Swearinger you pos!

****, we should have beaten Indy, Pittsburgh, and Dallas too. ****.

Gonna suck having to "root" for the Patriots tonight. Hoping for a drone strike.

Great game by both sides of the ball. Didn't punch it in enough, but at the end of the day it was a fairly dominant win.
