Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans. 10/9. 7:25. CBS/NFLN.**Official Gameday Thread**

Well, what did I say about hope and Houston fans, they just don't mix. I'm not in a murderous rage about this loss though like I was last week. Last week we should have won that game and shat it away. This game, the whole first quarter was a fail and that was pretty much that. I was legit worried about my health last week. Tonight, I'm sad, cause I let my hopes get up again stupidly. Oh well, time for bed.

Now I'm perfectly calm here. I really am. I understand that the line has played poorly. I know Fitz had very little time most of the night.

Fitz should know that too.

That man has the situational awareness of a dried piece of dog ****. He makes bad decisions. Let me repeat that. He makes bad decisions.

Yes we have problems in lots of other places. Yes, I know Fitz didn't spot the Colts 24 points.

I want another QB. I'm not really interested in anything the Texans do until they make a QB change. Even when Clowney comes back this little butt-wipe is going to be killing us with bad decisions.

Hate to stir sheet up, but you have to realize -- the game was closer
last year. And we had a lead at one point last year..

Number of turning points in this game that dramatically affected it....onside kick recovery...fat randy, AJ fumble....Fitz's fumble....we just cant get out of our own way. Of course everyone will focus their ire on Fitz..

I do too, but at this point I realize we are going to David Carr the career of whoever we put behind that line

Is it wrong that I hope Fritzpatrick gets chronic stomach virus and has to sit on the toilet for the rest of his career?

I hope our ****ing tin man OLB can finally play, otherwise this team is screwed. I wish we could gotten a goddamn QB.

We did. Any QB we would've gotten would be going through a developmental phase and not be doing much better. Fitz isn't the answer, but fans have to be patient either way.

Never had a chance with this f-cking officiating crew.

Think I'm checking out for a couple of games I can't take this WWF bullsh!t.

The refs didn't dictate the outcome of this game. The other guys made a couple plays more than our guys. It's football. Moreso, it's sports.

They didn't have it out to get us.

The team played with SO MUCH HEART. That's what hurts the most.
JJ was astounding yet again!

But special teams chokes with fat randy, secondary falling down
for an easy score (two weeks IN A ROW!!), StinkyPete(tm)
turning back into himself when he could least afford it.

And good 'ole BoB going with more empty sets, because Lord knows
we don't need Foster on the field.

Dre cost us this game..

I think BOB approach to every game is play it safe and just stay in game. He scripts that way and the other teams know this. He needs to be more creative from beginning or just forget the damn scripting because you suck at it.

The on side kick was just PISS POOR coaching. They already did it this year.

Andre fizzled instead of seizing the moment. This loss stings really bad.

Don't give me that sh!t, thier o-line mugged the defense all game. I challenge you to watch the game again and watch just the Colts drives and focus on the o-line. We got no pressure because the had hands full of jersey of straight up tackled all night.

The only silver lining might be that obrien pulls the plug in this turnover artist and gives another QB a shot. Might but I won't hold my breath.

They did not dictate the game, BUT they did have a few calls that hurt us and did help the colts. It seems those kinds of calls never go our way, the Bouye PI, AJ PI, AJ fumble, hell i say Fitz get hit at our below the knees 3 times this game and not one penalty. JJ got 2 a few games ago, so have the rules changed.

Not blaming the refs for this one, but it was a horribly ref'd game !

I do agree with this, i saw so much holding from the colts, the most obvious was when Mercilus got to luck and was the only one in the back field the OT was running behind Mercilus holding him, gave luck just enough time to get the ball out, and no call. I mean come on.

As bad as Fitz is, the O-line needs an upgrade or it won't matter who you put in there.

You know, the thing about the line (and I'm agreeing with you here) is that I look around the league and see teams coping with injury situations on their lines. I see teams from year to year that press multiple rookies into action, start backups who are no threat to unseat the injured guy in front of them on the depth chart, and generally continue to perform at a competent level. I swear I think it happens somewhere in the league almost every year.

Some team gets decimated by injuries and ends up getting quality OL play out of rookies, backups, and sometimes street free agents.

Not us. Our starters are miserable and I don't even want to imagine what our backups are like. Why is finding decent linemen nearly impossible for this franchise?

Main problem is brain trust has put together a SLOW average team.

Get rid of brain trust. I still say the Texans brain trust reminds me of
Pappy O'Daniel's goofs in O Brother where art thou.

We are about to learn a lot about our team

Nah, we knew it all along.

Team effort to win. Team effort to lose.

Agreed. Dre didn't cost us the game any more than BOB did. Team loss.

well i'm proud of the way we came back and made a game of it.

Very much agree. We've seen some teams here that would have pissed around for a 52-0 bloodbath after that start.

I don't know how you two can do it but good on you, I guess. My thing is, I see no moral victory. I see a Texans team the came out laughable and couldn't recover due to horrible personnel and coaching.

***************

F the Texans. We on this board don't deserve such a BS team. Today is the first day I begin to wonder about McNair's ability to choose a good HC. This would make 3 bad choices out of 3 chances! I'm not going anywhere, but I've HAD IT!. :mcnugget:

I think they dictate the game a lot by ignoring so many holding calls, but that's not why we lost I will say.

The onside kick, the fumbles, the offense was completely invisible the 1st qtr.

The offense has WAY too many long stretches where they completely suck. Completely.

I don't ask this as an attempt to belittle, I promise. But how long have you been a fan? You've made a few comments tonight only someone new to the team would say. Like the above comment. Have you seen the other Colts-Texans games?

Again, all due respect. No harm intended. :)

I hope when the Texans watch the film, on the last play everyone starts beating the hell out of deandre Hopkins for being scared to dive in and recover the fumble.

I think some of you are actually happy it ended that way just so you have more ammunition against fitz or OB or w/e. We had. Real shot to win there at the end. The missed fg, the AJ fumble, the missed calls -- all game changers.

Anyone that says this is on the refs more than on a garbage QB is kidding themselves. Oh, and not getting Hopkins the ball is criminal.
