That awkward moment when Manziel in his first NFL action is better than a 10 year (or whatever) vet who's the starting QB.
 
it looks like nobody is in our defensive backfield and the cards are just playing catch
 
This damn zone defense has got to GO!
We're not getting any pressure on the QB and that's the only way it can work is to pressure the QB into making bad throws.
 
Our problems do run deeper than QB.

That being said, it's the first preseason game y'all. New coach, new system, stopgap, undrafted, and 4th rounder at QB.... expectations shouldn't have been high to begin with and this is gonna be a rebuilding year, no matter what McNair says.

yeah he has had a few dropped ball and some serious false starts...but that is about the extent of it..


Looks like he has some zip on some throws, especially on the run out of the boot...
 
here are some texanator observations from the first half.

swearinger is a nice looking lb.
fitzpatrick has a weak arm.
clowney was abusing the lt one on one.(but cant cover a lick)
watt looked good.
b harris will be cut.

kinda sad the 1st team o had to play so much.
 
Returning those deep kicks don't bother me..... as long as we quit that sht when the season starts.
 
Fitz hasn't been very good, but I have yet to see a WR create separation. Every time he drops back every WR is blanketed. Then move over to the defense and we have wide open guys running around all over the place.

I remember Kubiak doing it at least once when the starters stunk it up in the first qtr. And it wasn't that they stunk as much as it was that they came out flat and it pissed him off.
 
I hate Spencer Tillman so much. If I had millions of dollars I'd enter into negotiations with him to see if I could pay him enough money to leave Houston's airwaves forever. Preseason is like a four week gauntlet of listening to this fool babble.
