2013 TT Member Mock Draft Discussion

Make a swap quickly if you're going to do it.

Good with it. He seems legit.

Anyways I pm'd my draft board for the Bills, I doubt I'll be around to make the pick in a timely fashion. As soon as it's my turn go ahead and make the pick.

I was targeting a few different positions with this pick, but when Jesse Williams was picked I knew I had to pull the trigger. NT is just not as deep as the other positions and Williams has versatility and pass rushing ability.

Definite run on DTs. Probably the most of any position group in this mock. Kind of like the real draft will go...one position will start getting snapped up. Especially with how evenly the talent is distributed through the early to mid rounds.

Robert Alford notched a 4.39 at the combine, to go along with a 40" vertical and 132" in the broad jump.
20SS: 4.23; 3-cone: 6.89; bench: 17.
He measured in at 5'10, 188lbs.

STRENGTHS Possesses adequate height and sufficient upper-body strength to play outside in the NFL. Consistently competitive at the line in press coverage and downfield on jump balls, even against larger receivers. Has fluid hips and quick feet to open up and run down the sideline, as well as a smooth backpedal to maintain cushion. Stays low in man off the snap to mirror his target's route. Aware zone defender who sees and attacks the underneath route. Good closing speed to the receiver when playing off, usually finishes the tackle. Flashes quickness to avoid blocks in the run game, brings some attitude to ride down running backs. Used in the slot, primarily as a blitzer because of his speed and tenacity. Shows ball skills, vertical, and concentration to snatch throws in front of or over the top of his man, and can make the easy catch as a center fielder in zone.

With the 66th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select QB E.J.Manuel Florida State

OAK hoping that 3rd round QB majic happens 2 years in a row. I think I got a steal here, some mocks have Manuel as a 1st round pick.

I had a lot of options here for the Eagles. It was a difficult decision.

The Eagles select....

Corey Lemonier, OLB, Auburn. With the Eagles transition to a 3-4, they will need as many edge rushers as they can get. Lemonier had a disappointing season last year, some say mostly because of injury, but I am sure not many Auburn players had a good year last year. He has great athletic ability and has shown the ability to be consistently disruptive, outside of the second half of this past season for the Tigers. He would sit behind Barwin and Cole and could hopefully give the Eagles a quality part-time rusher in his rookie year.

It depends on how much one believes he can improve.
Late second, early third is probably where he belongs.
You may have a starter or you may have a back-up QB.

Just recently had a friend of mine tell me that a couple of vet offensive linemen no longer on the team told him that Jimbo is really holding the QBs back at FSU. He essentially is telling them who to throw to on most plays, but I don't know how normal that is in college. Or even how true that is.

Can't say I know about the player.

I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Some of these coaches (most of them, actually) have pressure of their own; what with those "powerful" alumni.

Even if it is true, it shows E.J. has little experience making good reads. He would most definitely be a project, no matter what is true. I can tell you without any doubt that he is not ready to play/start in the NFL right now.

I can certainly agree with that.

Lemonier was a junior last year at Auburn. He was a situational rusher as a freshman when Auburn won the title. In his sophomore year, he had 9.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss with 5 forced fumbles. He was developing quite nicely. Last year, he started pretty strong but then suffered an ankle injury. As I am sure you know, the Tigers season really went down the drain late in the year. One of the worst SEC teams I have ever seen. He ended the season with 5.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss.

At the combine, he ran a 4.60 forty and had 27 reps on the bench. He's long and is explosive. He needs to play with better strength, even though his bench #s would suggest he is very strong.

To me, there are four guys here.

Manuel who has the athleticism and the arm, but lacking football IQ.

Glennon with the big arm; he's a bigger, stronger Schaub, with a hair more mobility. Also seems smarter than Schaub at this stage.

Bray also with a big arm, a little like Flacco, just lacking fundamentals, and judgments.

Dysert somewhere in between Glennon and Bray.

Take your pick.

Sorry to slow you guys down...

With the 68th pick, the Browns select....

Markus Wheaton, WR Oregon St.

Wheaton.jpg

Markus had a good combine and runs great routes with solid hands. He is fast and will give Weeden a target to throw to. Ran a 4.45 and finished his Senior season with 91 receptions for 1,244 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Good job running this by the way! I think it has been going really smooth.

Thanks.

I will be gone for the day, probably sometimes after 5.
I will have another update at least; I have notified all the GMs up to the Chargers pick #76.

Hopefully, steelb or dutch will have time to close shop.

With the 69th pick in the NFL Mock Draft the Arizona Cardinals select Tyler Bray QB Tennessee.

Bray is my #1 QB and I got him in the 3rd rd. Arians gets his Flacco/Roethlisberger. Bray has all of the tools to be a great QB. 6'6 232 lbs. Big arm and has good movement skills in the pocket. 32 TD's 12 INT's. Bray needs to work on his footwork. Who better to help teach him than Arians.

The Cards are estatic with their draft so far. Rd.1 Lane Johnson Rd.2 Larry Warford = OL fixed, Rd.3 Bray = QB of the future.

Thanks for running the board today 76Texan. I will be here for the rest of the day. Senor Stan is on the clock.

With the 70th pick in the NFL Mock Draft the Tennessee Titans select Sio Moore, OLB Connecticut

With the 71st pick in the NFL Mock Draft the Buffalo Bills select Khaseem Greene OLB Rutgers.

Both Moore and Greene represent great value this deep in the draft.

dsr23 and the NY Jets are on the clock.

I knew he would, hahaha. He's been singing Bray nonstop LOL.

I hope it happens like that so that Bray doesn't go to the Titans.
I'm not sure if the Titans are going to take a QB though?!?

Soory about that, Bray has been my #1 QB throughout the whole draft process. He's the most talented QB in this draft. IMHO If he grows up and works on his footwork he can become Arians Big Ben. I cant believe Tyler Wilson has fallen this far. He's my #2 QB, followed by Geno.

Moore was a great pick. He was really good in college and will probably be an even better pro.
