Has any ex-Texan (other than Mittens) won a Super Bowl?

Seeing Dunta Robinson make a good play got me wondering; has any ex Texan won a Super Bowl and don't even mention Mr. Mittens in his backup role with the Giants.

If I remember correctly Billy Miller was on IR when the Saints won their Super Bowl.

Tramon Williams is probably the most well-known castoff, although I'm not sure if being a practice squad body counts.

If niners crap out, then pollard, leach, j.jones will fit the bill.

Missing any ex-tex ravens?
I do. I mean, I know why they're gone and I get it, so I'm not blasting the team for letting them go or anything. But I said at the time losing Pollard and Leach took some edge off the team. They need a mean streak.

I do not miss Jacoby Jones.

I had tickets for another event and have just finished watching the Ravens handing the Patriots a defeat at home. I can't say I'm disappointed. I am so inspired to see O. J. Brigance presenting the Hunt Trophy. I'm almost in tears.

What does it say about a family that trolls a former team of their brother's? Notice they never stopped by before "winning" a Super Bowl with his mighty clipboard. :hmmm:
Hey, I wish the best for David Carr. But if you have to come troll a message board for vindication years later (with clipboard vindication, no less), then you have insecurity issues. Seek help, for your own good.

Derek Carr threw for 4000+ yards, 37 TD's and 7 INT's at Fresno last year.
David's brother Darren was a regular poster as Hulk75. I believe I read that he attended UH for a while. His younger brother Derek played QB at Clements High School in Fort Bend ISD. He began playing the position as a Sophmore, but the family moved prior his senior year, if not mistaken back to California adter David's release from the Texans.

He could be available in the 2014 draft!

I honestly wish nothing good or bad on David Carr. Like 99% of players who used to be Texans, I have no feelings toward any of them.

I do hope DeMeco Ryans has a good career, but he's about the only one. He's that 1% for me.

I just find it rather weird to see a former player's family trolling the forums in some narcissistic endeavor at vindication. David Carr has not been in a Texans uniform since 2006, but yet here his family is - most likely behind David's back - representing the Fresno Mafia.

What next? VY fanboys popping up if an NFL team invites him to camp? :heh:

As if we didn't want to win a SB with Carr. We did our part, as much as we could.

I'm just glad there is a thread talking about former Texans in the NFL.

Houston used to be the last stop for players before going out of the league...

QB75 was Derek and Hulk75(?) was the younger brother right? Kinda wish we had Gruden at the time, 'dad' attempting to be involved would've ended badly in all sorts of fun ways.
QB75 was Derek, and Hulk75 was Darren.

We've got them fessing up somewhere on this forum. They were part of the Fresno Mafia that always defended David to the point of trolling, even when it was clear that he was destined to be a backup QB.

I can't help but think of a teenage Derek on this forum every time I see Derek the pro QB on tv. I don't remember the exact words, but he said something on Hard Knocks that reminded me of that smartass kid QB75.

I never had any ill will toward the Carr family and never blamed them for defending their boy. It was all in good fun, but he used to really get riled up and send Vinny some nasty messages back in the day.

I never got to see any of that, but sure wish someone could dig it up.

I heard the other brother was really bad in here.

I was just reading Hulk75's last exchange with us, and it's hilarious 12 years later, especially knowing how it all turned out.

Here it is if you want to take a walk down memory lane. :heh:

And of course this thread is QB75's (Derek) last exchange where he was gloating about David "winning" a championship ring even though he took zero snaps that season. Just a freakin' classic way to end the entire thing after so much animosity spewed toward Texans fans.

So.... We can add John Simon to the list of ex Texans who won Super Bowls.

Kubiak & Wade too if we hadn't already.

Did Vontae Lynch win one with Ravens?
Brandon Brooks with Eagles?
Owen Daniels with the Broncos.

I was happy to see that. He even had a Touchdown..

Fing Jacoby Jones could've been SB MVP.. Was NOT happy to see that as he played like **** when we played the Ravens the year before and single handily cost us the damn game.. Arian Foster was SPECTACULAR in that game.

Man, Foster is still one of my top three fav Texans.
What would this team be like with another like him...
We need to use Duke Johnson receiving out of the backfield at least a couple times a game. Get him back into the swing of it.

Lol, what a trip down memory lane and I remember so well because Hulk75 was the only negative rep I ever received. He was singing Derek’s praises about how he was lighting it up at Clements and I replied that he didn’t light it up against Hightower, a game that I attended. He responded that he was just a sophomore oldtimer and gave me the negative rep. Too funny!

I need to check but seems another former Texan was on Super Bowl team when NE won.

Derek Carr is the losingest quarterback since … David Carr

Derek Carr has had a rough six years with the Oakland Raiders. With the exception of a 12-win 2016 campaign, Carr has led a losing team every season.

And because he has started since Day One and only missed two games, that has left Carr with a lot of games to lose. In fact, his 55 losses are the second-most games lost by a quarterback through his first six seasons.

The only quarterback with more losses? His brother David.
