The "Should I accept this trade" thread

Reggie Bush for Demeryius Thomas.

I get Thomas. My other RBs are Trent Richardson and Adrian Paterson and Mikel Leshure
My other WRs are Reggie Wayne, Stevie Johnson, and Vincent Jackson

Its a keeper league. You can keep up to 2 keepers at the price you paid for them at auction.
He paid $17 for Demerius Thomas
I pad $11 for Bush

At this point, I think keeping Bush is probably the smarter move because $11 is really cheap. The only reason i wouldn't keep Bush is because I also have Eli Manning ($11) and Trent Richardson ($30) that are good values...

what to do...

He's also got Julio Jones but he paid $1 for him (he was a keeper last season) so I doubt he's going to want to trade him

I don`t know the concept of a keeper league so my advice is strictly for the player values: Thomas has been a beast for me this year and is starting to grow into the Reggie Wayne for Peyton. Good yardage every week and I only see it getting better. Bush on the other hand is a bit of a suprise this year and I still don`t believe he can keep it up for the whole season.

Thomas should start every week for you - Bush? Not so much if you ask me. So I´d go with Thomas.

Including RBs & WRs using our unique non-PPR scoring system, Bush ranks 13th in scoring while Thomas is ranked 27th. Fwiw, ymmv.

PPR league, offering Jordy Nelson or Antonio Brown for Ryan Matthews.

My two RBs are only Peterson and Doug Martin, the rest are trash. I have Reggie Wayne, Nelson, Brown, James Jones and Jeremy Kerley to sub in. I am 4-1 in this league, but I'm not going to make it without another RB. The guy I'm trading with is 0-5 coming off a loss to me this past week, and he has a stable of RBs in McCoy, Frank Gore, Stevan Ridley, Ryan Matthews and Leshore. His WRs are Floyd, Bryant, Torrey Smith, and Kenny Britt, so he's hurting there.

I think this trade may be a bit too much in my favor, but we'll see. He's desperate and needs a win this week and the next 8 to make the playoffs.

Good luck that would be a great trade... Im glad Matthews is finally paying out for me.

Well, I yanked this trade offer once Nelson got his third TD.

So now I have a few different ideas, I'd like to get one of his RBs: Lesean McCoy, Ryan Matthews, Frank Gore, Stevan Ridley or Mike Leshore. I think he would go straight up Nelson for Matthews or Gore, but I'm going to try to swing for McCoy.

In another league, some dude proposed Williams Powell and Jeremy Maclin for my Willis MacGahee and Malcom Floyd. I said no and countered with Reggie Wayne and FJax for Lesean McCoy and Maclin. We'll see what he thinks, but I doubt he would trade for that. His WRs suck though, and he has 4 good RBs.

Edit: He came back with an offer for Mccoy, Vick Ballard (RB Indy) and Maclin for Wayne, Fred Jackson, and Mcgahee. I have Adrian Peterson and a host of good WRs on my roster. I don't think I can swing that though, I need 3 RBs in case one gets hurt. I'm really thin at RB, which is why I'm trying to trade for one.

Wheelin and dealin... :doot:

Mccoy hasn't put up any very big numbers in my league but he does consistently put up decent numbers 10-14 points.

I would kill for consistency right now...

Week 5 i got the Biggest blow-out award and the highest score of any team.... then last week i get the lowest score by 20.... :pissed:

just got a trade offer for his Chris Johnson and kyle Rudolph for my Malcom Floyd and Jimmy Graham.... :smiliepalm:

That guy must be crazy i wouldn't trade one of those for both of his...

Well, he sent me a counter of Jordy Nelson for Ryan Matthews. I think this is the best I'm gonna get in this league. My roster is currently:

QB: Aaron Rodgers
WR: Jordy Nelson, Reggie Wayne, Antonio Brown, James Jones, J Kerley
RB: Adrian Peterson, Doug Martin, Toby Gerhart
TE: Pettigrew, S Chandler

It's PPR, so Matthews should be worth some points, he's been mostly in the 10-13 range since he came back. I like the potential of Nelson, but he's just so up and down, I'd rather start Brown or James and go with 3 RBs. What do you guys think?

You are pretty weak at reciever but I would take it... on a PPR Matthews will be dominating. I drafted him but i think it took him to long to get healthy to salvage my pay league...

What do you think of this.... Trade Jimmy graham and Malcom Floyd for Mcgahee and Marshall... I can pick up Heath Miller on wavers?

QB Brady,
WR Wanye, Floyd, Bowe, Maclin, Hawkins, Santana Moss
RB Matthews, Reggie Bush, Steven Jackson, Bolden
TE Graham

I need to propose a trade. I'll probably need to trade a RB or TE for a WR and/or QB.

I'm loaded at RB. I've got Rice, Richardson, and Morris.

I'm also pretty good at TE right now with Gonzales and Gronkowski.

I'm weak at WR with D. Thomas and Steve Smith.

My QBs in Cam Newton and Rivers are stinking it up this year.

Does anyone have any idea what QBs and WRs I should be targeting with my guys? I'm totally clueless in this area.

Adrian Peterson for Larry Fitzgerald

My running backs:
Trent Richardson
Reggie Bush
Adrian Peterson

My WRs:
Reggie Wayne
Vincent Jackson
Stevie Johnson

Give us the players on a team you are thinking about trading with.

I've got:
Tony Gonzalez and Vernon Davis at TE (#1, #2 scoring TE in my league)
Reggie Wayne, Vincent Jackson, and Stevie Johnson at WR
Bush, Richardson, and Peterson at RB

He's got:
Fred Davis and Martellus Bennett at TE (low)
Brandon Marshall, Mike Wallace , and Mike Williams at WR
McFadden, Forte, and Ridely at RB

Davis is out for the year with an achilles. I feel like theres a way I can trade him Davis or Gonzales and improve either my RB or WR stock at the same time.

I was thinking Vernon Davis + Wayne or Vernon Davis + Jackson for Brandon Marshall

What do you think? Too one sided on my part?

I wouldn't trade away Vincent or Wayne... the have been as good as any Wr.

Davis + Johnson for Wallace?

Other options include dropping davis and picking up Miles Austin

That would be the way to go now that the bye week for tony is gone.... I wish either of those receivers were available in any of my leagues.

Both will be good options but i just don't see someone trading Davis for Wallace, if so take it. Austin is a great consolation prize though

I'm 7-1 in a standard scoring league with no PPR. Got an offer of:

Mike Wallace and Owen Daniels for Fred Jackson and Marques Colston.

I have FJax ans Colston on my squad

QB: Aaron Rodgers, Ponder
RB: Willis McGahee, Adrian Peterson, Fred Jackson, Daryl Richardson
WR: AJ Green, Malcom Floyd, Reggie Wayne, Marques Colston
TE: Dennis Pitta, Dreesen (Fred David went on IR)
K: Matt Bryant
DST: Packers, Broncos

Right now I'm just rotating Floyd, Colston and Floyd into my flex spot. My TEs are weak, and Wallace isn't much of a dropoff from Colston. I'm not sold on Fjax, and I don't really need him aside from AP's bye week. I can get by with Richardson in his spot though. What do you guys think?

The trade definitely favors have him but i would do it... you really need a TE

Im seeking 2 trades in a ppr:

I give:

tom brady
brandon pettigrew

I get:

Philip rivers
brandon marshall
jimmy graham

2nd trade is

I give:

Fred jackson
Greg jennings

I get:

Calvin johnson

Points in both trades add up pretty close. 2nd owner is desperate for rb's and I have a boatload of them. Im desperate for wr. If either of these go thru they'll probably get vetoed but i'd like some opinions...

I'd say no. Wallace and Colston are even. Jackson and daniels favors him completly.

I personally don't care for Fjax anymore this year, so I would take the 2nd trade if I were you. The first, well it's hard for me to give up Brady. Might depend on who your backup QB is, because Rivers is bad this year. Marshall and Graham are great though, so if you really need a WR and TE, it's probably worth it. If you can get CJ though, I would imagine you don't need Marshall.

Thanks for the input on my trade guys, I'm going to counter with different stuff. No need to trade down a WR. My original offer included Ponder for Matt Ryan as well, since he has RG3, but he countered with that trade.

So now I'm offering:

Ponder, Fjax and Malcom floyd for Matt Ryan, OD and Mike Tolbert.

Playoffs go from week 14-16, so I don't want to start Rodgers @Chicago. Also, Ryan has the Saints during Rodgers' bye week.

No for the first one, don't trade Brady, for the second Calvin hasn't been having the season everyone thought he was gonna have but that trade doesn't look as bad. He plays some bad defenses so i think i would take this if i had some good RBs

Well, this trade has boiled down to Fred Jackson for either Tony Gonzalez or Owen Daniels. I'm thinking Gonzo for Fjax is a good deal, but it leaves me very thin at RB. I'm OK with that, as my season won't be very good if AP or McGahee go down, so I'll go for broke. I just hate the idea of trading a RB for a TE, which is why I was trying to get more out of the deal.

I wouldn't do that Dutch, it's basically trading Fjax for a mediocre TE and I think you take a step backwards from Colston to Wallace. RB's get hurt all the time, I would rather have the depth.

I guess I should have read the whole thread instead of stopping at the end of page 4.

I like Gonzo for Freddie in the spot you're in Dutch, especially if it's ppr.

Jackson for Gonzo is a no brainer. Gonzo has been the #1 TE this season. Jackson sucks and has CJ Spiller eating carries. DO IT

Reggie Bush and Stevie Johnson for Calvin Johnson

Too one sided?

I could also offer VJax or Reggie Wayne + Bush for CJ

AJ Green and Daniel Thomas for Wes Welker and Doug Martin.

My RBs (MJD and Sproles) have been hit by injury so I need another back. I don't think there is a ton of drop from Green to Welker. Thoughts?

AJ Green seems to have improved on an already good rookie season, but trading two top tier WRs and getting Doug Martin on top? I'd say it's worth it.

Yeah, if you are hurting that bad for RBs and didn't pick up Jennings to handcuff MJD, then do it. You won't get better than that offer.

Rep to all three of you. Thanks! I felt the same way.

Hopefully this trade doesn't come back to bite me in the ass the way the trade that got me AJ Green and MJD did. In fact, I am actually trading with the same guy that traded me those two guys. I want Doug Martin back and he wants AJ Green. I am a harsh negotiator and demanded Welker if he wants AJ Green.

I tried to get Jennings when MJD went down but of course someone was ahead of me in waivers and snatched him.

I'm killing it on trades this season. I traded Demarco Murray for Wes Welker exactly one day before Murray sprained his ankle. I traded The Lawfirm for Stevie Johnson, and now I'm packaging Johnson and R. Bush for Randall Cobb. It's ppr and we get 1 point per 20 return yards so Cobb is the #2 receiver in the league. Here's my roster.

Aaron Rodgers
Wes Welker
Randall Cobb
Danny Amendola
Adrian Peterson
Alfred Morris
Vernon Davis
Matt Bryant
SEA D

Bench:
Torrey Smith
James Jones
Darren Sproles
Michael Turner
Pierre Thomas
Brandon Myers
Josh Freeman (going to pick him up once trade goes through)

Now I just gotta make the playoffs :kubepalm:

I don't even understand why you are considering this trade. A top 3 TE and top 3 WR for a slight upgrade at WR and RB? I don't get it. Pettigrew isn't doing that well this season, especially in non-PPR leagues. You would be losing a large advantage in Graham IMO.
