This is the fight I was talking about the other day. http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93906
For the record, the guy filming and narrating the event does not know all the lyrics to Get Back.
I'm in the lower section of the 500's. They are up in the 600's.
btw, check your inbox Bill.
DUDE!! With your advanced career / financial situation, can't you afford better seats than up there with those simpletons???![]()
It was me. Who knew he'd get pissed because I said Kim Kardashian has a pimply a$$.
Pretty pathetic. But is has been posted in Tailgate.

If it were me, I'd kick every single one of them out and ban every single one of them from every single NFL venue for life. Its people like this that cause the Dodgers stadium incidents.
..You can't blame security for this though! They simply cannot be everywhere, all the time. ...
I was just a couple sections away from this. Saw the whole thing go down. It was interesting. And yes, Security didn't show up until like 5 minutes later. They should have been on top of that.
So who were the 3 or so red shirt / kahkis behind the group? Target employees? I guess that was outside the realm of ushers duties.. "woah, can't get involved, but let me show you where your section and seat are"
They were there. Ushers, I mean. From where I was sitting, I didn't see any security at all. Honestly, half of the gridiron endzone was standing up watching it. Idk if those ushers had security duties or not, but the fact is, no authority figures got involved.

I was in the section next to that one looking upwards, and I could see three guys standing in the walkway behind the top row of seats, in what looked like security uniforms.
It seemed to me like they didn't really want to get in the middle of a melee.
Easy solution that will never happen: quit serving booze at these events.

As for the thugs that caused all this trouble, I would recommend a life-time ban from Reliant Stadium.
I have thought this every time I see a fight. If the seat owner is involved in the fight, kick them out for the season.
If the seat owner sold the tickets give them one and only one warning. If it happens again, revoke their tickets.
They come in sloppy from the parking lots. Dunno' how much that would help.
Well, at least it would start to get out of their system and they wouldn't be continuously adding fuel to the fire.

This is shaky ground to me Yank. A lot of fans sell tickets through the Texans ticket exchange.
Actually, it is in your PSL/season ticket holder agreement. You are responsible for how people in your seat act.
In fact, I think selling your tickets for profit also violates the agreement, yet the NFL has TicketExchange. Go figure.
That's my only issue with your post above. If you're going to tell people they have to be responsible for a stranger's conduct, then stop peddling ticket scalping services.

This is the dumbest quote I think I've ever read lol...no offense lol but what is the nfl gonna do? Put face recognition software cameras at ever entrance? No. Are they gonna post the people's mugshots at every entrance? No. There is no way to ban someone. My dad works security for the texans and he himself told me its impossible. On another note I'll be tagging along with him Sunday morning doing the bomb sweep with the bomb dogs. Should be pretty cool.

That is not a solution.
Researchers from the University of Minnesota People under the age of 35 were eight times more likely to be legally drunk than other attendees, and fans who "tailgate" in the parking lot before the game were the worst offenders: They were 14 times more likely to leave a game intoxicated.

You could also say the same for setting up bars. I bet it's a hell of a lot higher than 14%.If HPD really wanted to "get tough on drunks", they would have some sobriety tests at the exits of the games.

I don't know why I felt the need to point that out but I would be vehemently against any kind of sobriety checkpoint. Remember, I also do not drink alcohol like you.
After working the nightclub scene almost daily for over 12 years in several cities, I would have to disagree with a real police presence being there in that manner. I believe I've seen more sobriety checkpoints in movies as opposed to in person. Many police departments routinely establish sobriety points near bars, especially those "no tolerance weekends".
While I agree with you in principle, unfortunately we are losing almost 50,000 American citizens every year in alcohol induced accidents. Some folks cannot help being incorrigible detriments to society. Pathetic, really.
Society always punishes the majority for the actions of a minority of individuals.
And you are simply incorrect that it's not a solution. No alcohol for three+ hours when emotions are running high due to the nature of fans at sporting events?
BTW, I'm not necessarily advocating this course of action, but saying it's not a solution is simply incorrect.
My own take is to let adults make their own decisions in life and hold them accountable with the full force of the law when they get stupid with it.
