NOLA is doing better against the run down there than I thought they would. I wonder why we didn't try at least one honest attempt at a fade to AJ. Ain't no db gonna out jump him.
 
You know Brees and company are licking their chops being down by only 6. Offense has to step it up in the red zone.

Then Meyers needs to adjust coverage on the fly, because the oline got blown up on that play. Of course they're going to blitz, but Matt needs more than 1.5 seconds to make a good throw.

The Saints seem to be having a problem getting to the Redzone at all.

It says so much for Foster's ability that we have a 100yd/game rusher replacing him and we're actually missing him!

Most teams would love to have that sort of running game, we feel we're missing out. I cannot wait to get Foster back the guy is going to be dangerous if Tate can pound it between the 20's and Arian comes in in the red zone. Unstoppable.
 
Why arent we targeting Andre in the red zone and giving him opportunities to make a play? 4 trips to the red zone and all hes gotten is a short dump off.
 
It's obvious that we need to do better in the red zone, but let's put this into perspective. We are beating the Saints IN THE SUPERDOME.

Kubiak has admitted that HE has the final say in the playcall before it goes into Schaub from the sideline.

Dennison makes the call, it goes to Kubiak, and Kubiak sends that into Schaub or he pulls the call and inserts one of his own if he wants to.

Dennison is, IMO, getting free rein between the 20s. There are long-ass developing pass plays (that's a a Dennison attribute, period.) between the 20s, and once it hits the RZ.....Kubiak is taking over.

The patented 5-yard curl to AJ at the line has been magical for us in the past.

Haven't seen that in a long, long time.
 
The Packers started sniffing out the little RB dump-off pass/screen pass in week 1 vs. Saints.

DeMeco was spying the RB the whole way. When your whole d-line is in Brees face at the same time, that's the tell-tale sign that it's coming.

After 9+ years of watching this team, the fans are getting pretty good at reading tea leaves. Buy hey, the Texans played really well. They can hang with the Saints.
