Texans random thought of the day

I figured why not.. ..

my good thought.... Foster is a freaking beast. I have no idea how he has that good of vision and able to make so many people miss in that split second.

my frustrated thought

I have seen comments about Rex Ryan and how his mentality (good or bad) has infected the team and how they play

and looking at SheTexan's thread

my random thought (and I am NOT saying Kubiak needs to be like Ryan) is here are the Jets and they are going to fine Sanchez (in practice) every time he has bad body language

and I see a picture and read an article where it is from the top of the chain to the bottom...everyone is saying "it is my fault"
.. just seems like Texans have come to expect have bad things happen to them and it does.. I like the jets approach on what they are doing.

I want to see some freaking fire on the TV on sunday .. Green Bay was pumped up last night.. I hardly see the Texans get pumped up but for just a few times. (and not a D-rob pump up thing where they forget that the next play is coming)

Have the Texans ever spread everything out wide when it is 4th and 1 or something close to that?

All I can remember is that we seem to just bunch into the "jumbo lite" formation and get stuffed on short yardage.

Sometimes I actually wonder what it would be like to be a fan of a team like New England or Pittsburgh.

It was a thought, and random.

As good as Schaub can be he doesnt make me feel confident when we need a big drive from him.

When watching a Manning or Brady you think "They're going to score."

With Schaub i never get that feeling.

being a young whippersnapper, you don't remember when New England & even Pittsburgh were some of the worst team in the league, but it goes in cycles my friend.

remember not that long ago the Ram's were the best team in football.

Not that long ago that Buffalo went to 4 straight Super Bowls

But....but.....I do!! I'll give proof. Pittsburgh in the ealier days were known as a team you would beat, but would beat you up in the process. Mean bastards who couldn't win a game in a nutshell.

New England, IIRC they sucked. Even in '78 they didn't seem legit, Houston whipped them in the first round. Actually they seemed the same in '85 (or '86 vs Chicago). We who know Pittsburgh and even Dallas and New England were losers means we also know Aerosmith before the drug years.. WHEW!

All I mean to say is I'm of age....lol. You are right, it comes in cycles. :D

Guys, it could always be worse. We could be like the Cowboys this week. At the beginning of the week, they were a 10 point dog against the Giants. Today they are 15 point dogs.:chef:

I'm sure that some figure the Cowboys are better than the Texans 'cause they fired their coach midway thru the season so at least they recognize the problem...

My thought for the day...

We're less confident of a win at .500, than in before with a losing record.

Well, my expectations were higher going into the season. We should have beaten San Diego, though... looked like we were controlling the game for a while. Same problems though, settling for FG's while the opposition gets TD's. It's like we were playing the Colts :headhurts:

Watching this team on TV's starting to be like watching those "Original Movies" on the SciFi Channel. Before it even starts, you just know from the title that "Sharktopus" will look ridiculous when you see it come out of the water, but you still just have to see it. It's a sharktopus, for crying out loud.

Glover Quin = Sharktopus.

Kareem Jackson = Dinocroc.

Brice McCain = Supergator.

looking up the coaches of the Texans. I don't see anyone that has really any experience to to take over for bush

this kinda made me go :hmmm: What does Ray do?

Rhodes works closely with second-year defensive coordinator Frank Bush on all aspects of the defensive game plan and assists defensive backs coach David Gibbs in coaching the secondary with an emphasis on coaching the safety position.
I didn't realize that Kollar was assistant head coach also

hmm the NFL's youngest team aka Tampa Bay is 7-3 and learned how to win and yet Kubiak's kids have learned a new way on how to lose again...oye

It's interesting to note that Rhodes' detailed description (when you click on his name) conveniently only describes his 2008 accomplishments.:chef:

I am kind of wondering how much input does Rhodes have?

Oh Well, I am just searching for answers

I think we beat the Tits, the Vicks and Ravens should be good games.

It will be interesting if we employ some of the tactics that worked for the Giants last night to limit Vick's effectiveness. In my mind its a little test of Bush and his ability to learn and scheme (which so far he has shown little of).

Was just watching Chris Berman doing his thing on ESPN's halftime show. Merely seconds after I mentally thanked them for not making a big deal of Houston's collapse they went to the Bills-Bengals highlights. You know, the game yesterday where Cincinnati had a commanding 28-7 lead only to lose 49-31? Sure enough, they pulled up a certain game from the '93 playoffs.

I know some don't go to the draft section much but this was my thought with this weeks game coming up

I personally think the Texans will come out and stomp the Jags this weekend and ruin their season, it is what we do

I want the Texans to win, but I don't want for them to be picking middle of the road again and miss out on an impact player and I definitely don't want them to trade picks to move up.

it seems like a huge swing in draft position.

I am conflicted as a fan on this one. sacrifice one game for the future of of the Texans (maybe I am having a Rockets moment on how they when they got Akeem (spelled that way at the time)
basically a swing from #7 to #14(worst case scenario with a win) unless there are some major upsets (which I doubt) and best case scenario the Texans could move up to #4 (again I don't see that happening)

Last week of the regular season, both teams at 5-10. If both teams win or both lose then identical records. Except for the fact that we have the last ranked defense in the entire league. We've given up 277 ypg in the air, and last but not least................ They kicked our butts big time this season.
By my calculations, the Cowgirls are the better team. God this depresses me!
