[Texans_Chick]

For those who think that Twitter is about reading what people eat for lunch, here's a good analogy that one of my sisters made on her blog about this subject. She's one of the people who persuaded me to do the Twitter thing.

I get bummed out when I find interesting people who simply don’t get Twitter. They sign up, follow a bunch of people, and then say, “It was just a bunch of people saying they like ice cream or going to work that day.”

Remember: social media tools like Twitter are like cell phones. You don’t get a cell phone and say, “Let me find numbers to plug into my phone to justify the use of this object”. You think of WHOM you would actually want to call and THEN you plug their number in. It’s the conversations that make the medium interesting.

(Yes, it's obvious that my family is very verbal and isn't afraid of opinions. haha...that's what happens when you are one of 7 kids.).

I rarely unfollow people because if I follow someone in the first place, its usually because I checked up on the kind of tweets they make before I followed.

The Texans Talk Twitter will finally get me "Tweeting".

I can't believe I even said that.

Wow! With friends like Jay Glazer who needs enemies! He used Cush to pump up his service and then when Cush hits a bump in the road, he Wants nothing to do with him. Sad to see just another guy out there for personal gain and could care less about the people he works with.
