Jets vs Bengals

Well....... it's been real and it's been fun, but I can't say it's been real fun. I'm gonna go jump in the shower. I may be back on here later if I can muster up the momentum. I've got that blahhhh feeling and don't give a crap about anything right now.

At least we had a winning season, hopefully next year OD, DRE, and Matt can stay healthy for next season and Slaton had a soph-slump.

This game is fixed...why even watch. At least the WWF makes you laugh at fixed wrasslin matches. NFL offices are located in NYC. Things that make NFL executives happy is.. NYC teams and Cowboys in the playoffs and finally getting a NFL team in the nations second largest TV audience (LA).

???

Palmer does not even need to be there at this point...dog of an effort by the Bengals

I do not hate the Jets. It's not their fault others are lying down in front of them. If a hot girl lies down in front of me, and I boink her in front of you, you don't hate me, you hate her for not boinking you. I hope, for the remainder of this year's playoffs, that the Jets go undefeated. I actually like their style and wish we had some of that nastiness. I hope they beat Cinci again, then the Colts, and then maybe the sorry ass cowgirls in the superbowl.

Not necessarily true. I hate both of you for it. Jealousy is a crazy thing....

Yea how this game gets flexed instead of Cowboys-Eagles is stupid.

NFC East title and possible #2 seed or a wild card spot? Well golly gee whiz i like that Mark Sanchez! Lets go with the Jets game!

I didn't look at the entire schedule, but are the Cowboys already at the limit for primetime games? I think each team is allowed only 5. I'm not sure, but that might be why they weren't moved into the slot.

Nope, we can blame Chris/Kris Brown for our playoff miss. Without those two chumps on our roster, we would have won a few more games...

Who kept playing those guys anyway?

Cinnci is mailing it in. They sat Cedric and used Larry sparingly. Not trying at all. Parties over.

If Cinci loses, they play the Jets again next week.

Nice scheduling where the Pack and Cards play this week and again in the 1st round of the playoffs. Eagles and Cowboys play this week and again in the 1st round of the playoffs. The Jets and Bengals are on a collision course for a rematch next week.

Before tonight, I had never seen 11 orange vaginas with black stripes........

Bengals are p***ies either way...
a) their pee pee's shrank against the jets
b) they laid down to avoid us in the Playoffs

:gun:

I won't fault that line of logic. Both Kubiak and the GM have their fare share of fault, but if both Brown's weren't on the roster, I think we would have 2-3 more wins this year and would have been the 5th seed in the AFC.

I'm suppossed to believe that a team that already secured a playoff spot only has 9 YARDS of Offense at the half.

This resting players by teams already in the Playoffs is going to be discussed by the NFL competition Committee they are watering down the NFL product on the field in the name of healthy players for Superbowl runs. They should make players sacrifice their game checks if they do not play. This is a Pay for Play league right? Teams should have to face the same teams to compare records. Why bother having a conference record if it is going to be marred by discrepancy.

Even for a team mailing it in the Bengals must be the worst team to ever make the playoffs. We had a better chance of Curtis Painter and JaMarcus Russell pulling out the wins we needed.

I think the commish should yank the Bungals from the playoffs and put us in after this late game. What a joke!!!!

You got that right. Freaking Bengals.:strangle:

I guess if we would have beat the Jets at home in the opener we would be sitting pretty but we all know how that turned out.

Wes Welker might have a problem with that statement.

This is retarded. Teams that are locked up in a playoff berth by wk 17 shouldn't be forced to play their starters. All that does is take decisions away from coaches and forces teams to play their starters even if it would be a better decision to rest their starters.

I wouldn't be surprised if next season we go 10-6 and miss the playoffs... Just watch, I can totally see that happening to us.

:strangle:

We know the Bengals have rested some of their starters. I wonder if the Jets are going to rest their starters in the second half?

I hope the Jets demolish the Bengals again next week. What a bunch of ****ing cowards. At least try and make it competitive instead of pulling this crap. They should change their name to the Cincinnati Kittens after this pathetic effort.

Edited. Nobody to blame but ourselves. You can't go 1-5 in your division and expect a playoff spot...we just got lucky that it was a down season in the AFC. Oh well, it was certainly exciting for a few hours!

Well said. You GAIN your playoff chances. You don't expect others to do it for you. The team needs a mental change next year where a half a week isn't good enough. Shooting for a winning season isn't good enough. There needs to be a different standard around town. Not just being ok and looking better.

It can be done. I believe the NBA has a rule in place that forces all teams to start all their players every night and play unless they have an injury. The NBA wants the best product on the court at all times.

Yes, I realize the NBA and NFL are 2 different leagues and we can bash the NBA, blah, blah, blah, but you can't run from the argument that they at leats put a full product out every night.

If one team is dismantling the other....then pull people...other wise....keep the league "product" on the field.

Prepare for dubious injury reports in the Belicheck style if you institute that rule.

There is literally no reason to look into this as it is not an "issue". You win your games, you don't have to worry about other teams "laying down".

well obviously we're to blame, i never said we werent.. all i'm saying is that down the stretch we did our part (even though we made it way harder than it needed to be) and actually would have been in if the colts didnt do what they did last week.. the season on a whole? our fault. but it doesn't help at all when a team that is going to take your playoff spot gets two teams in a row that are laying down for them..

Pretty smart move by the Bengals coach. Make Jets think you're just a wimp team and come blasting your guns the next week and catch them off guard. Very smart.

I post this little acknowledgement of disgust and head straight over to change my avatar. I hope the Bengal fans are walking out of the joint by halftime. Absolutely disgusting.

so if we locked up a playoff spot would you want all of our starting players out there? i would certainly hope not....

Do remember that the team that is "taking" our spot dismantled us the first game of the season. If we had one that game at home, we would be sitting pretty.
